  1. Thanks. ENBs are not internal part of Skyrim engine, so they will never work good. Btw, don't bother too much with mods, play the game. It consumes time, and you will end up trying different mods and never be satisfied in the end. Put some good essential mods and play.
  2. AMD sucks in dx9? With 480 Skyrim should work excellent.
  3. Lowering texture quality will nor give you much higher fps.
  4. https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/#6418199 Mod won mod of the year ModDB competition, and i was 100% sure that Enderal will win: https://www.moddb.com/newsletter/449 Of course i'm glad this mod won. True Stalker here :) I have played it a little bit, and it's phenomenal.
  5. Really? Seriously? There will never be first person mod for this game. It wouldn't work. If you want more from games and have higher standards, you will play this. Compared to this game Skyrim is a joke, or any other Bethesda game.
  6. Fallout NV is not Bethesda game. That's why is so much better then any Bethesda game.
  7. Sure i know it is more efficient, but i didn't expect this with VRAM? SE version with my mod completely use my VRAM in some places, but it does not stutter at all with win 10?? I have 3gb card.
  8. Did anyone with 2gb card tried to run this? And how does it work?
  9. Well you don't need to resize them all. If you use now 3.5gb, then you have room to leave some 4k normal maps? What is important is that game doesn't stutter. Also i have noticed that win 10 does better job with vram. With the same setup my game has stuttered on win 7, but on win 10 it does not stutter. Has anyone had similar experience?
  10. I doubt that DDSopt does better job with normal maps at all? The thing is that if you only resize normal map, and don't touch diffuse, quality loss will be minimal. Especially if 4k textures are in question. It also is important how good 4k texture is, how detailed, how much skill and effort is involved in creation of textures, etc. DDSopt is excellent if you want quick solution. I would compare normal map resized with DDSopt and Photoshop. And if difference is small then why not use DDSopt?
  11. Photoshop is the best. How much vram do you have?
  12. Snow on the rocks is a shader, and has nothing to do with my textures. Try "better dynamic snow". Also 4k textures are more detailed and much more sharper, especially on big meshes. I never use tools like DDSopt to resize textures, and i don't recommend it either. I do it with Photoshop using "bicubic sharper" method. The question is how good is DDSopt for resizing? Here is Solitude example. 4k 2k
  13. Why do you reduce textures if you have 4gb card and game works good? Also like before there's no need to optimize my textures because there's nothing to optimize. Only if one have vram overload should "optimize" them. Sure there is a difference between 4k and 2k, but that 2k mountain texture that you resized does not look good? It looks like 1k texture? Here is my 4k vs 2k: 4k 2k This is on 3 meshes, and there is a difference but not that huge like in your case.
  14. I have tried that and IMAGINATOR also, and thats not it. IMAGINATOR only offers quicker solution for what i can do in ini. files. Looks like i'm gonna stick with original Skyrim version. Thanks guys.
  15. I have tried vivid weathers and i'm not fan of that. I was thinking about some ini. tweaks and similar. For example to change sun rays because they make game to look washed out.
  16. Anyone knows how to remove this yellow tint in SE?
  17. SMIM works with my mod, although i didn't try latest version. What i don't recommend is mod like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/74324/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D74324%26preview%3D&pUp=1
  18. Click red download box and continue. It should look like this when it starts to download automatically:
  19. I have tried to download Part 1, and it works. Do you have an option to click to download in that white box?
  20. Yes. Dawnguard update has only some architecture textures that i forgot to include, and they are without additional alpha channels, so can be used with both versions. Only SE landscape textures have additional alpha channels incompatible with original version.
  21. I have forget to include some new Dawnguard textures. Must upload an update because of that Thanks. Why don't you try and tell us
  22. Update for original version: https://www.moddb.com/mods/skyrim-realistic-overhaul/downloads
  23. You are on win 10. But i suppose that should't make a difference with vram usage? I have win 7. And yes Windhelm is the most demanding. Does it stutter? Try SE version. I mean you must download it either way. I'm gonna probably upload today update for original version?
  24. I have checked these textures with original version and they work. There is no difference, and they look even better. This yellow light and SSAO in SE really make textures look bad? And also vram usage looks normal despite additional alpha channels. I do plan to release update for original version. Maybe tomorrow, will see Thats mesh problem. Texture is distorted too much, so even higher res doesn't help. Maybe mesh editing would help a little bit? Cool!
