  1. I will look my file over and reset my .inis to see if the problem persist. I will give a more detailed report should it. But on my screenshot, and what I noticed in game, it looks like the game is not rendering the ground textures, unless I am very close to them. Thanks!
  2. Well I think I've the .ini's set at what STEP recommends. On the latter I think my AF was at 12 samples on that screenshot. I am actually fairly unsure, since I've been messing around with ENB and such.
  3. Ok. I tried out RealVision ENB today(first I tried Sharpshooters, but the binary was too old), and I had such a horrible FPS. Around 25 indoor(Helgen Keep). with the specs I previously mentioned, is this due to it using the integrated graphics, or does ENB's just pull so much performance?(If you have knowledge of these things) But I will certainly use the Injector version and try RealVision, or another ENB, if this turns out to be the cause of my massive FPS drop(usually 60 interior, 30 exterior. By the way. I suppose I used to have my FPS capped at 60(I didn't actively do anything to achieve this, that was just the way it was), but now something is changed. In the skill menu for instance, and in general dark areas, it spikes to above 100. Now while this is certainly not a complaint, I would prefer it to be capped at 60. How do I do this?
  4. It's like something is wrong with rendering the textures.
  5. Well I'm fairly certain ENBoost loads. At least all the "info" pops up when I open the game. If using the Injector version, do I need to launch it through Mod Organizer?
  6. Hi all! I seem to have a texture issue, that I cannot recall having trouble with before. When I walk around in Skyrim, the ground looks horrible, only a few "feet" from my character. It's only the ground area immdiatly next to my character, that looks decently. The rest is absolutely horrible. I have a bunch of texture mods installed(and HiResDLC). Most noteably, Skyrim 2K Lite version(except Riften). This is also the texture mod I use for landscape(which I assume include the ground). I have Enhanced Detail Derrain 1-2, Distant Detail, UGridsToLoad set at 7, Distant Decail Fix and HD Enhanced Terrain and Snow 1024x1024. I'm not sure distant terrain mods have anything to do if it, but since the ground right next to my character(like 3-5 centimeters on my screen) is fine I suspect it a little. I believe it's very clear on the screenshot: https://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2lw7khd&s=8#.U3jE7vl_vwo (click on it once for greater size) ~Sincerely Halde
  7. Wait a moment! Have I been using my sucky integrated HD Graphcis over my GeForce card o_O? A question on this. The description for the Optimus fix says that I need to add my Skyrim EXE file to the list of high GPU something something. When using SKSE, is it the SKSE.EXE I need to add(because that isn't on the list) or is it the TESV.EXE? I'm using Mod Organizer if that has anything to with it by the way.
  8. Well I don't spin anymore! So that's great. Although another problem arose. All NPC characters are missing their eyeballs. Maybe I just need to reload the game, haven't checked yet, but damn it looked freaky. By the way. To decrease load times, is it the distance mods that I have to turn off first? I read in the pinned thread about ILS, that LOD mods should be offed first. And STEP has like 4 of them. My system: i7-4702MQ 2.2GHz overclocking at 3.2GHz GeForce GTX 760m 2GB VRAM 8GB DDR3 RAM Yes, it's a laptop. It's just odd, for when I installed STEP the first time around (October last year, version 2.2.7) I had the occasional CTD, but I didn't have these ILS. And frankly I'd much rather CTD once an hour than my loading taking 5 mins. And this was even before the 3rd memory patch.
  9. Thanks DoubleYou, I'll be trying that! I'll report back when I've tried this.
  10. I think I understated the shakyness. The cart is litteraly being spun around like a mad Russian at an orgie. Like if you went NoClip in Counter Strike, amped up your mouses DPI and then just went crazy. It's not just some screen shake. It's the entire view upside down and sideways.
  11. Hi all! Being finally able to launch Skyrim, and perhaps even play the game, I came into a bit of trouble. In the introsequence, I was spinning. To the best of my abilities, I can describe it as; imagining being the thingie in a magic 8-ball while someone is shaking it. And due to this shakyness, the introsequence seems to never stop. At least when the one guy said "Why are we stopping" and the other guy says "Why do you think" and about 2 minutes after that, we didn't get out of the cart. I have absolutely no idea what could cause this, but hopefully, someone here does. Secondly. The loading time was quite long(like 3-4 minutes I think). Can this be written off as Skyrim starting for the first time? I have my SKSE version 1.0.7 and I have in the SKSE.ini set the memory block to 512 and 256 respectively. Should I up this to 768 and 256? About this, in my SKSE.ini file, I've typed: [Memory] EnablePatch=1 Block1=512 Block2=256 The reason for this is that I've read here:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1340369-skyrim-memory-patch-fixing-ils-ugrids-ctd-freezes-for-real/ that what I need to write to make it work changed to this, from the "GiveFirstbornToSheson" thing. I do not have Safetyload or that Cell Stabilizer. I assume I have ENBoost installed, I have all the Wrapper files in my Skyrim folder. I also have Season of Skyrim ENB installed. I have about 204 mods. I will upload my modlist, loadorder and plugins. I'm not sure if they are relevant, but they might be. I should note that Mod Organizer gives me no formal errors other than these "Potential Mod order problem". Also, I have TES5Edit backup and "AltF4 Mod" files in Overwrite folder for some reason, but I hardly think that's the problem. - I should note; I haven't tried to fix these, because I've read that they rarely matter. - 2nd note; My "Better Skill and Quest Book Names" mod is for some reason not detected by BOSS, and as such, BOSS gives an error that I need it for the "Even Better Quest Objectives" mod. I have the mod installed though, so I'm not sure why BOSS is PMS'ing about it. - 3rd note; I have sat my Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini according to STEP and ENB. Move Run For Your Lives after Complete Crafting Overhaul - Separate Vanilla and DLC filesMove Even Better Quest Objectives after Run For Your LivesMove Enhanced Blood Textures 3 5d after Even Better Quest ObjectivesMove The Choice is Yours - main file after Enhanced Blood Textures 3 5dMove The Choice is Yours - Dawnguard after The Choice is Yours - main fileMove Thieves Guild Requirements after The Choice is Yours - DawnguardMove Non-Essential Children after Thieves Guild RequirementsMove The Dance of Death 4-0 Beta - Ultimate Edition after Apocalypse New ~Sincerely Halde modlist.txt plugins.txt loadorder.txt
  12. Lol I failed hard. BOSS throws the ESP at the bottom of the load order, due to it being unrecognized. And it needs to be loaded before the Bashed Patch. It's fixed now. Thanks!
  13. I didn't follow STEP exactly. First time around when I installed it(last year), I just ramped up full resolutions on all the HD mods, and it turned out it was a little to much for my brand new laptop. So after playing for a month I took a break. I've just recently gotten back to it, and this time around I decided to install fewer mods from the STEP guide. I do have all the mods that are included in the STEP Core Patch, since it would show error otherwise. I did use BOSS, but didn't use LOOT. I have no experience with LOOT, nor am I in any way familar with it. And lastly, I don't recall it being suggested in the STEP guide. I will try re-installing the patch. I'll get back to you in a second.
  14. Hi all! So after installing STEP (round 3) I've made the Bashed Patch, ran FNIS and Skyproc, and yadayadayada. I now run TES5Edit, to see if everything is ok. But when I run it, it says "[00:16] Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "Bashed Patch, 0.esp" requires master "Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp" to be loaded before it.>" Now I've checked STEP. STEP says to not even install the ESP's for this mod(furthermore masters are called ESM in my experience, so maybe TES5Edit is tripping). Furthermore, if one is to actually install the ESP(like I did the first time around) I still get this error. I've yet to try launching the game, as I would assume it would CTD on load. Can someone help me detect the error here? ~Sincerely Halde
  15. Ahh. I read "seasoned" ENB guy, as in experienced with the ENB's;) When installing the ENB's you just need to extract the the d3d9.dll, the enbhost.exe and the enblocal.ini to the Skyrim folder right? And then follow the instructions of each individual ENB(mainly just extracting files to ones Skyrim folder)? Because for instance with Project ENB, it says to only extract the d3d9.dll(and no other files from the enbseries) to the Skyrim folder.
  16. Project ENB or version 0.221? About this Ugrids. I have spent many a minutes trying to locate this line in the Skyrim.ini. Can you tell me if I'm supposed to write it myself? If so, where?
  17. Hi all! So glad the site is up again. I asked this same question on the Nexus site, although sadly no one had any knowledge about this. I hope I have better luck here:) So I kinda want to try this ENB thing. After so thorough research, I got it down to either Project ENB or RealVision ENB(I wanted Kinematic ENB, but I don't think my computer can handle it). I'm leaning more towards Project ENB, but there is a pretty huge factor, which is also my problem. This is kinda specific by the way. Project ENB uses a 30 version old ENBseries file(0.221 I think). Now I am unsure. Can I use this ENB and ENBoost? Because if I can't, I need another ENB(probably RealVision). ~Sincerely Halde
  18. Well I'm running a laptop: - i7-4702MQ 2.2 GHz, overclocking at 3.2GHz(quad core) - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760m(657MHz overclocking at 1000MHz, 2GB VRAM) - 8GB DDR3 RAM As long as I am kept at or above 30 frames in the outside world, I'm good. Is the STEP recommended .ini changes not optimized enough? Or do these(EWI's) increase performance?
  19. Ok thanks. I'll try it again then. Btw, now that I have a pro here. This is completly off-topic. Does the STEP guide assume that I(or any other player) have all the DLC's? Because more often than not, it recommends the version of the mod, that include all the DLC's. I am not sure if this is because it assumes I have all the DLC's or because the all-DLC versions have something added that the specific-DLC versions doesn't.
  20. So am I supposed to add this "mod" in Mod Organizer? Because I tried that, and it got "greyed" out in the left list(which means that the mod doesn't add anything, as far as I'm aware). I kinda thought I needed to place the file in the same directory as Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini. Is this not the case?
  21. Hi all! I'm having a bit of problems with this. I was going through STEP 2.2.8 and fairly quickly got stuck. The mod or file or whatnot one would call it, that stabilize this feature(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41592/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D41592&pUp=1). My problem it, I have no idea what to do with this. Do I put this file in the same directory as the Skyrim.ini and Skyrimpref.ini? I read in a thread here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/473949-draw-distance-ugridstoload/ that this option in localized in the Skyrim.ini. So naturally, I wanted to up this feature a little. One problem though. Such a line does not exist in any of the .ini's. And STEP offers no explanation(at least not in that part of the guide, and didn't feel like reading the entire guide on the offchance that it would be explained at another point) or guide on where to write this in the .ini's. And being the newbie I am at this stuff I am at a loss. I couldn't find a topic on this on the forum(perhaps because it is mindnumbingly obvious), so I figured I'd make one. ~Sincerely Halde
  22. Hi all! EDIT: ONCE AGAIN I JUST DIDN'T GIVE THIS ENOUGH TIME. IT SEEMS I JUST NEEDED TO SET MOD ORGANIZER AS "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" IN COMPATABILITY SETTINGS IN "PROPERTIES". So after having problems with infinite loading screens, and generally long loading times(upto 5 minutes per loading screen), I decided to reinstall Skyrim, STEP and the few mods I installed outside of STEP. I read that LOD is often the cause of loading problems, but I didn't know which mods was the heavy "bearer" of these, so I decided this approach. My problem is though, that now my Mod Organizer won't download from Nexus. I've set my automatic login on in Mod Organizer, and I've used the globe thingie in the top left corner of Mod Organizer to register Mod Organizer to Nexus. I've also, as a last resort, changed the version to 0.47.1 instead of 0.47.0, because there was a problem with this back when Nexus changed server or something(although I don't suspect this had anything to do with it, it was just to cover everything I knew about it). I've tried searching the forum just before writing this, but couldn't find anything browsing for keywords(although I actually thought this was a common problem). What do do? ~Sincerely Halde
  23. That seems fairly reasonable. Well if that's the case, I might make something useful out of this afterall. I still don't know how to create a .ini file, specfically skse.ini. How do I create such a file? The STEP guide seems to assume that people know how to do this of the bat. ~Sincerely Halde
  24. Hi all! EDIT: ADMINISTRATOR PLEASE DELETE THIS. I MANAGED TO RESOLVE IT ON MY OWN, BUT IT SEEMS I CAN'T DELETE THIS ON MY OWN. I have to troubles of often(50/50) betting infinite loading screen. In a recent attempt to counter this, I installed the mod "Safety Load" through Mod Organizer. While i recognize this has nothing to do with STEP, this mod pretty much only brought me trouble. My FPS dropped from a sound 30-60 to below 10(which is unplayable). Now my main problem actually is that I can't remove this, since its not a plugin in Mod Organizer, nor is it listed in the left mod list. Why? I don't know. But in the description of the mod, a change in the skse.ini file, will make it so that the memory allocation that the mod supposedly apply, will only function during loading screen. My problem is, when I installed STEP, I didn't create this skse.ini file. I have SKSE installed in the same directory as I have my Skyrim.exe and SkyrimLauncher.exe. So in Mod Organizer I have these 3 executeables to choose from. In the STEP guide(and in the mod description as well) it said that this skse.ini should be created in the "Data|SKSE" directory: (optional) SKSE can be configured using DataSKSEskse.ini, which must be created manually. Add the following as desired:I don't have this SKSE directory. So where should I create this .ini file? And moreover, how does one create an .ini file? Is it just a textdocument? - Link to mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? ~Sincerely Halde
  25. Thank you @Tannin! I can't believe that little space was so troublesome! It's working fully now! And thank you all for being so responsive! ~Sincerely Halde
