I was going to suggest this plugin a long time ago, but kept forgetting! https://mods.mybb.com/view/emergency-message-system It's a nice little feature, we could have a latest STEP version wiki link there, that would be visible and easily accessible from any page of the forums, and I'm sure admins would find some other uses for it. We use on my forums and it works great, have a look here, it's the 4 colour bars at the top of the page. You can set them individually to show at any page, only at index page etc. You can configure it via AdminCP.

Yeah, I always set Uncapper accordingly to the character I role-play. Currently, as I want to play warrior Nord (main quest + Wyrmstooth + Companions + Fight The Thalmor quests), I have it set so that my weapon and armor skills contribute more to levelling and they level faster, but all magic skills are capped at 20-30. My Nord hates magic and he's even hesitant towards using any enchanted weapon at the moment (his attitude will change at higher level - role play). The thief skills are capped in mid range, as he's not so good at sneaking etc. Speech is high as well, as he's an intelligent character, my Fjoldvik :D Basically, I like to nerf my characters, give them advantages and disadvantages, as much as Skyrim engine and my mods allow, and properly role play them, rather than have a master-of-all skills badass that will 1 shot anyone and anything.

Ha! I did manage to complete the main quest at some point though, but I was rushing through it with mostly vanilla game (Unofficial Patches + big texture pack installed only) and I didn't get very high level. Would you mind voting in the poll, please? It will be nice to kind of have percentage level achievements of STEP community :)

I've never played female Khajiit I must admit, but if I ever will, this fix will be a must for me. For obvious reasons. I am no pervert.

As per the subject. I'm quite interested to find out what level other people managed to level their characters to? When replying, please state if you used STEP or not at the time - just out of interest. Mine was level 36 and I wasn't using STEP at the time :( I've never seen higher levels content in game unfortunately, when I found out about STEP I started to spend more time modding than playing! As is the case for many many people here... :)

There are more "It works!" reports in the comments section on Nexus. Very promising indeedy! I'm so eager to test it myself!

Yeah, I know of the first Elite... I never had Commodore. There was Atari version as well, but I never got it. It was quite difficult to get games in Poland back in a day... I was quite lucky to have a computer at all :D

Bread and butter of my early teenage years! Seriously, Elite:Frontier and First Encounters are the BEST GAMES OF ALL TIMES for me. I still have a genuine boxed games (on floppy discs, yes!) of both. And I'm also waiting for Elite:Dangerous like for nothing else!

Just create a normal .txt file and then change it's extention from .txt to .bat /OT a little: I just realised that I'm old. BAT files used to be very popular back in a day. (AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG.SYS, anyone? :D). I also recently saw a question asked on one of the popular question/answer website: "Why is the first drive in a PC called C: and what happened to A: and B: drives?". Just the idea that there is now a generation that doesn't know this... :o_O:

Valid point. Same for me, whenever I use vanilla start, I always use only the Unofficial Patches and only the mods that HAVE to be there from the beginning (Skyrim Redone is a good example). Everything else I add after Helgen.

I have absolutely no idea about the translation stuff, never done it myself and I don't know anyone that would do it either. But if that's the ONLY non-STEP action you took while setting up your game then it could be the possible bug cause. P.S. In fact, I've never seen anyone mention such a bug with mining when I think of it now. I did countless STEP and non-STEP installations using various mod set ups and I myself never came across this.
