  1. Hello everyone, yesterday I decided to look into Skyrim/STEP again, since the summer has taken a break and it'll be rainy next few days. My Skyrim is modded by STEP 2.2.5 and runs pretty good, except for some CTDs after some time, which, I tink, is caused by full RAM/VRAM. I'd like to test this patch, which hopefully reduces and/or fixes the CTDs. I installed RCRN & RCRN Plus, which seem to use a pretty old ENB-Version. Can anyone tell me, what I need to do, to get ENBoost running? Remove RCRN & RCRN Plus completely, install new ENB and then install ENBoost? Thinkin about a complete fresh install of Skyrim + STEP 2.2.6 with just base Mods and some extras like SkyFalls, but not yet motivated to redo all the work :D
  2. Ok, it's online now on one of the premium-servers. Thanks anyway - hope my STEP-Installation will run fine. Allready eats up around 2100mb Vram :D
  3. Hello! I started to reinstall STEP yesterday and reached the "2.I. Clothing & Equipment" part today. Problem I got now: First Part of aMidianBorn Book of Silence Armors seems to be down on Nexus. All Servers give timeouts and the premium-servers all show "syncing". Anyone got an alternative dl-link for this file for me? Maybe someone could upload it for me @ uploaded.net? I'd be glad if someone could help me with this problem :)
  4. Ok, then it's listed wrong in the STEP Guide. The Guide mentioned it under "1.F.2. - SkyrimPrefs.ini" not under "1.F.1. Skyrim.ini" Thanks for your help. *Edit* The Values also are not in my Skyrim.ini - Game is installed fresh via Steam and I launched it once, letting the launcher recognize my hardware and decide on the settings (ultra by default), like mentioned in the "Setting up Skyrim" Guide. Searching around on google, I found out, that some people seem to have the Primary/Secondary-entries in their SkyrimPrefs.ini after setting the quality to medium. I added the two lines to my SkyrimPrefs.ini right after the "iShadowMapResolution"-line. *Edit* I'm using WryeBash standalone, not MO, but used normal windows-editor to change the .ini files.
  5. Hello everyone, I started to reinstall skyrim & STEP today. Downloaded Skyrim through steam, so I guess my version is now 1.9. Just installed the needed software used in STEP an started with the .ini tweaking. Now I've come to a point which makes me unsure of what to do: Modify the following values under [Display]: ...iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=2048But my SkyrimPrefs.ini shows only "iShadowMapResolution=4096" - not Primary/Secondary Should I replace the value by those two or add the two mentioned values also to the .ini? Don't know if this difference is caused by using v1.9 of skyrim. Since I don't want to produce allready problems just by editing the .ini wrong, I thought I maybe could get some advice here. So "thanks" to anyone who is willing to help :)
  6. Hello! Just installed STEP 2.2 yesterday for the first time. Game seems to run great and looks pretty amazing. Did start a new game today and saved after arriving in Riverwood. I noticed, that the textures for the weaponstands (like the one near the Smith in Riverwood) seems to be missing, since all of the weaponstands appear in purple. Another minor issue I noticed is that some of the woodtextures inside the house of Hod & Gerdur are constantly "jumping/changing" if I change my lookingangle at it. The texture seems so be the same but it changes its possition on the mesh. Installed allmost all texturereplacers mentioned in STEP 2.2 guide one by one, beginning with the highres-dlc. *update* Here's a picture of my problem:
  7. Just installed STEP yesterday and did now my first testrun. Game looks really amazing now, and also runs very good. I did choose Project ENB and configured it like in the link "ENB Choices" and also this Guide. I also installed "Dark Dungeons for ENB", "Remove Ambient Interior Fog" and "Revamped Exterior Fog". What I didn't like was the fog in the startscene of the game, while riding on the horse cart. The Fog is extreme dense and very bright white - like from a fogmachine in a disco ;) Is it somehow possible to reduce the density of this fog to make it look like "wet fogy air"? Also I'm not sure, if I'll like the DoF. It looks pretty amazing in dialogues, but I'll have to test, if I'll still like it while playing. Usually I prefer to decide myself at which point of the screen I'm focusing my eyes and not by having to center that point with the crosshair. So if I don't like the DoF - is it possible to turn this effect of, while keeping the rest of the ENB?
