Doublecheck it is the underside, tll in console to turn off LOD, then click the underside mesh and disable it, tll in console to turn on LOD, artefacts are gone? Lower the underside further and/or increase its quality or increase terrain LOD distances. Oh, and make sure to generate terrain LOD xLODGen, too, so it has equal quality.

I am still looking into the 3D tree LOD. Currently the GenerateVertexColor setting is an all other nothing setting. You could make _lod_3.nif without vertex colors from the ..\Meshes\lod\mountains\mountain*_lod_*.nif with NifSkope.

You are setting Level0 LOD models to be used on the map. Then you force the non HD snow shader on them. This seems to be the result. Typically set AllHD32=1 to force the HD shader. You could test creating an options file in (virtual) ..\Data\DynDOLOD\DynDOLOD_SSE_LODGen_Options_Tamriel.txt and add a line GenerateVertexColorsLOD32=False so that nothing has any vertex colors in LOD Level 32 and then generate as usual and see if that helps. Other than that, look into the INI settings that are used for the map.

Check ..\Meshes\Terrain\Tamriel\Objects\Tamriel.32.0.-32.bto that the mountain rocks have BSSubIndexTripShape names like objSnow. If so, then check what plugin changes the snow LOD shader.

Also Provide a screenshot of a full model that has different looking 3D LOD between xLODGen and DynDOLOD. The message https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Wrong-Billboard-Path is about 3rd party tree LOD billboards used for billboard tree LOD. Do not install any 3rd party tree LOD billboards. TexGen generates them at the proper location. A modding guide should explain required important rudimentary information about the runtime version, game plugins versions and how to properly setup a base game. How do you ensure users have the correct version of the runtime and game plugins the collection was made for? Read https://dyndolod.info/Help/Snow-Ash-LOD-Shader#Maps and flag the map to use one of the snow LOD shaders instead of changing the snow LOD shaders themselves.

How do collections ensure that the user has the correct version of the runtime or the vanilla plugin files, 1.5 or 1.6? Users following proper modding practice should already have cleaned vanilla files, regardless of collections or not. Why would you need to reinstall "broken" plugins afterwards? It *should* work in the sense there should be no CTD in regards to DynDOLOD or the Workarounds.

The billboards probably won't affect the 3D LOD. Upload those useful screenshots with more informative console so I know which records and models to look for in the logs. https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Useful-3rd-Party-Mods HD LODs Textures SE - install the DynDOLOD version. Overwrite any textures from DynDOLOD Resources SE but not the textures generated by TexGen. Adjust Max tile size on advanced options to match the downloaded resolution or use it to shrink higher resolution back down to lower resolution automatically while the atlas is created. Do not install / remove any tree LOD billboards. Use TexGen to generate all desired billboards.

Can you please do a test generation (you could also use a profile just with the relevant mods) just for Tamriel and with one set of the default rules (low, medium or high rules does not matter), without adding or changing any of the rules. I expect the problem to persist, though. Then upload the new log (delete the old one first). Also upload new debug log, object_report (these will be overwritten) and the bto. -

It seems you changed to Debug=1 in the DynDOLOD_SSE.ini. I suggest to leave the setting alone and instead simply check the debug log if you need to. All screenshots show the same base record and full model. Is it really limited to this one only, are all other variations fine? When using the Advanced/Expert mode, make sure to click Low, Medium or High to load the mesh mask / reference rules for NaturalWaterfalls.esp, so that there are not static LOD waterfalls in the first LOD level 4. Which ENB are you using? Let me know the mod(s) install options for these textures (or maybe upload them so I have the right ones for sure): ..\textures\effects\fxwhitewater01.dds ..\textures\effects\gradients\GradWhiteWaterSoft.dds ..\textures\effects\gradients\gradwhitewatersoftfalls02.dds -

Why do you believe it is DynDOLOD interacting with TagTuner and not the other way around? This might be a memory issue. Is this repeatable? If that is the case, do not run TagTuner or any related background services/processes. When using the Advanced/Expert mode, make sure to click Medium (or Low, High) to load the mesh mask / reference rules for LOTD. When you scroll down the rules you should see 3 rules with the plugin name, the first one should be legacyofthedragonborn.esm;0076B865 that sets all LOD levels and Grid to None. Generating the LOD patch with the rules in place, you should then see the museum in the Tamriel worldspace, too.

The DynDOLOD_SSE_log.txt you upload seems to be a truncated debug log as it contains debug messages. Upload the entire last full generation that is in the DynDOLOD_SSE_log.txt. Something loading after replaces something loading before it. Something having a higher priority means it loads after something with lower priority. Something overwriting something else is the most clear expression to convey what is winning a conflict. Ambiguous terms like top or bottom are always confusing and became meaningless with mod managers that allow sorting of lists by ascending or descending by different options. These ambiguous terms should never be used by anyone, especially guides and explanations.
