Replacement for Realistic Crime Radius?
Freyrgjurd replied to Zarggg's question in General Skyrim LE Support

SKYRIMLE HUD comparison - Less Intrusive HUd II vs. Minimal HUD
Freyrgjurd replied to FMiller's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I can only agree with this. With Minimal HUD Light on the table, wich provides the effect of simple crosshair mod and other neat features, IMHO the NACMIM + MinHUD provides the best combination. EDIT: Simple crosshair mod effect =/= crosshair scale. The Light version of Minimal HUD doesn't have different CH types, but still adjustes the Scale of vanilla crosshair. -
What reduced my freezes/CTD was to make a two pass DDSOpt config in every texture mod beyond 20Mb. First pass on non *_n.dds files with 2k resolution cap. Second pass on *_n.dds (normal maps) with 1k resolution cap. Summary: 2k textures with 1k normal maps. This reduced the file sizes too. No problems with "looks" for me.

The hang is with me since 2.2.5, with W8 I need to "Sign Out" so I can gain access to the system again. I was tracking it to RAM issues, but I can't confirm it. I still think it's something related to animations / effects, broken hkx maybe ? With or without ini tweaks, it's all the same. Random hang when changing cells at random times. I'll clear my papyrus log one day, solving every script problem I have to see if it resolves the problem.

Maybe it has different results with different shadowmap resolutions ? Since with lower shadowmaps (P:2048 / S:1024) you natively have a lot of shadow problems, becaus of the 8k distance default at Ultra.

Tested it, but reverted back to 314.22. The 3,3% improvement is nowhere near noticeable and I was having problems in Mass Effect 3 (texture clipping). As for the "killing factor", it really can be a death sentence to Fermi and other cards that work normally at 70º+. It slightly elevated my 670's temps from 60º at full load to 65~68º.

DROPPED Realistic Crime Radius (by BeyondTom)
Freyrgjurd replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Has been replaced for the "tweak" in Wrye Bash: Bashed Patch. You can select it in Tweak Settings: "Crime: Alarm Distance" while rebuilding the Bashed Patch and it ranges from 500 to 8000 (right-click to select the value). EDIT: You can enter a custom value too. Just make sure you select "Tweak Setting's" box along with "Crime: Alarm Distance" box to enable the tweak. -
STEP 2.2.5 followed to the last letter = CTD/Freeze
Freyrgjurd replied to Freyrgjurd's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Well, I got a stable build. Here's what I've done: 2 Pass in DDSOpt for vanila + hrdlc + dlcs: one for *.dds capped at 2k*2k and one for *_n.* for 1k*1k. (2k textures with 1k normal maps). Did the same with heavy texture mods, such as: SkyrimHD and Serious HD. Installed all mods up to Clothing and Equipment (adding cloaks of skyrim) and then I started sorting out what I'd want. The following where not installed: **Animations & Effects** Animated Weapons & Enchants Better Turn Animation - Only One Pose Burn, Freeze & Shock Effects. Deadly Spell Impacts Enchantment Effect Replacer - Combined Improved Weapon Impacts Minty Lightning Mod Rainbows Shooting Stars Skyrim Performance Plus Ultimate HD Fire Effects - Medium Resolution **Clutter & Miscellaneous** All of 'em **Sounds** All of 'em **Gameplay** All of 'em, except: Ars Metallica BYOD Gildergreen Regrown Guard Dialog Overhaul Move It - Less Wait Time Slightly Reduced Distance NPC Greetings NEChildren The Paarthurnax Dilemma Run For Your Lives ----------------- One of those bugged me. I know it's a long list, but in another time I'll sort it again. I can confirm I stand at máx 2.2Gb system RAM and 1.8Gb VRAM at large exterior areas with heavy graphics. Stable as a rock! :D -
STEP 2.2.5 followed to the last letter = CTD/Freeze
Freyrgjurd replied to Freyrgjurd's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I can confirm that Wearable Lanterns for Caravans causes CTD, WHEN you Fast travel to a location where the Khajiit caravan is. Just recommended ones. Don't really now WHY the freezes yet. I'm playing a lot with it. -
STEP 2.2.5 followed to the last letter = CTD/Freeze
Freyrgjurd replied to Freyrgjurd's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Oh sorry! Forgot the specs: i7 3770k 16Gb RAM Game installed to a dedicated SSD for games. NVIDIA Geforce GTX 670 2GB OCZ ZX 1000W P.S.-> Tried with non-optimized non-textures DLC, not that :( -
STEP 2.2.5 followed to the last letter = CTD/Freeze
Freyrgjurd posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
Well, I'm posting after a three day strugle to find out why. Couldn't. All core + non-core mods where installed with .ini tweaks from the guide (with and w/ Z-Fighting ones). Discovered that Chesko's Wearable Lanterns - Caravans where causing CTDs and Diverse Priest was striping bare the poor basterds. After cleaning all, I'm starting over. Will start with optimizing the vanilla + HRDLC (correcting via batch too) + DLCs to 2k with half normal maps. I tried neovalen's revisited, no go. I would like to know if there is any incompatibility between mods that was not reported in the guide or anything at all that could cause this, aside from de VRAM issue (optimizing everything to cover that base right now). Also, never passed the 2.2Gb threshold of system RAM. The freezes and CTD where next to big areas and whiterun. Sometimes going to interior areas. Random ? Thanks, Gabriel. P.S.-> At least I like to play around! :D P.S.2-> Excelent guide; Neovalen's Revisited is awesome too :D Edit: Followed DDSOpt optimization and Vanilla's BSA optimization (Sounds and Voices excluded plus everything in loose files [as well as the BSA Mods that where extracted]). -
Performance issues with a beasty config (IMO)
Freyrgjurd replied to nico53laval's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have an I7 3770K, 16Gb RAM, SSD and a GTX 670. With High Quality SSAO, 4xMSAA in game, 4xTrSSAA and ENB I'll be arround 30.5 ~ 45 fps. All max textures and mods that STEP suggests. I leave VSync App-Controlled and via NVIDIA Inspector, CAP to 58 fps. It reduces the input lag a lot. Even with vanilla, vsync + cap 58 is the way to go, for me at least. I use ENB for the shadow engine fix. -
STEP and Skyrim 1.6 [Official] Bug Reports
Freyrgjurd replied to frihyland's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Hi all, I've been doing tests since 1.6 with STEP. As far as I know, Navmesh and dialog bugs are the worst (walking guards in mortal swimming on water, npcs not moving, chats missing or locking). I started using Wrye Bash and researched. As linked above, using USKP 1.05c is fine, since it remove the dialog changes, which causes the chat lock. Better Bards changes the dialogues, since it reduces the "delay" of singing (.fuz files), so I disabled that too. As for the navmesh bug: it's fixed, that's why the CK was rolled back (the new patch had instructions that papyrus and others can interpret yet), but I'm still looking for mods in STEP that changes the world (add new locations, and stuff). I could use some help in here ^^ I'll keep ya posted. For now, until STEP C, there are no problems. D is for chat locks and E / F / G for navmesh bug. EDIT: Smart Souls already have a 60 version to work with actual SKSE and 1.6 patch. EDIT 2: *Wrye Bash report on a full installed STEP: Mods that need cleaning with TES4Edit Following mods have identical to master (ITM) records, deleted records (UDR), or other issues that should be fixed with TES4Edit.
