  1. Thank you very much for all your time, before and now, it's greatly appreciated Sheson. I'm also very grateful for DynDOLOD and all your hard work, for this amazing app you bring us. You truly do help make my life brighter by it! No Trees on the Map!
  2. I did read that link before. I want trees in the game, LOD32 Billboard 6 is the default from the Step Guide, so I left it the same, I thought none is to remove the trees from the game, not the map? And I thought if someone wants to use LOD32 Billboard 6 in the game, then you add these two options below to remove the trees from the map? Level32=1 uLockedObjectMapLOD=32 THANKS
  3. Ok... I did this for settings, I thought this is all correct now? xLODGen - LOD32 DynDOLOD_SSE.ini - Level32=1 DynDOLOD - LOD32 - Billboard6 Skyrim.ini : [MapMenu] uLockedObjectMapLOD=32 But I still see trees on the map. THANKS
  4. Sorry for bumping up and old post, instead of creating a new one, but I'm also trying to resolve the same issue. After reading through the information outlined here, I'm trying to understand, depending on what someone wants, we either set in DynDOLOD_SSE.ini; Level32=1 OR Add in Skyrim.ini [MapMenu] uLockedObjectMapLOD=32 We only use one of these options? I want to see trees in the distance in the game, so I should use Level32=1? THANKS
  5. I sincerely apologize to you, and I truly hope you will accept my apology. It was never my intentions to post over about the same things, and have it look like a merry go round. I ended up going around, loosing track of things, and doing a lot at once. I'm usually very organized, I guess this time, I wasn't. Without making excuses, this is probably been the worst of my forum posting days, so I'm really sorry, and to everyone else that reads this, that tried to give help. I'm a gaming geek, and I'm always happy to help and be a part of any and all gaming communities, this one included, so I certainly don't want to be rocking the boat. Let's just say I feel bad, so I will go read now and lay off from posting anymore and try to just figure this thing out on my own. THANKS again for everything!
  6. All I can assume, that my questions, and replies, is that I've looked willy nilly as put, so that's my mistake, sorry I look hap hazard here on the forum, because I do things very methodical sitting at the computer. My posting on Nexus isn't to beat any dead horse, or to ask the same things over and over, I also didn't expect to see you there replying either to my post, I was looking for answers from other members is all. You replying there as you did, is like stalking people. Because, from what I remember, you basically said the same things there, as here, so why did you feel the need to do that? Remember, we are all not children, and you need to respect us as adults, we all make mistakes, I came here in good faith and respect to this place, yet many times, your replies come across condescending and you need to realize it, and not continue, and when people make mistakes, take a breath, step back and chill. Also, on the advice given, I take all that is given, again, I guess my replies on the forum, make it seem otherwise. I'll try to do better with my posting in the future, I know at times, it's not the smoothest looking. On the topic of EVT, what everyone should look at, walking away from this, is how someone could end up spending 3 weeks and massive amounts of hours, and still get no where, no, not because I'm hap hazardous, clueless, not taking advice, doing as instructed, etc., I've done everything directed at me. Bottom line, it's not working for whatever reason(s) call it what you will, but you have to be open minded to the possibility of software issues, and not simply think it's always the end-user screwing up or their setup is messed up. Anyhow, thanks again for everything, I'm going to try and use another tree mod, I've wasted to much time on EVT and there is clearly this issue I can't seem to figure out how to correct. THANKS
  7. I want to be very clear here, I'm an adult, I'm not here to spread fud or create problems, I don't have any attitude, I'm happy, I'm only typing with no attitude intended. I'm actually very happy and having fun, and I appreciate all the help being given. But, trying to figure out this EVT lighting, it has certainly been challenging. SO, let's please keep it happy! If memory serves me correctly, it was mentioned that other Tree mods should show the same issue(s). I also believe that to be true too, especially if there was something in my setup to bring this on, it would also show the same problem with other tree mods. So is this correct, seeing this bright tops and dark bottoms, if one tree mod shows this, then other tree mods can show the same? Looking at what I understand about the tree mods, the differences between them, how they are modeled, made, packed/file formats, etc., at this point, I'm not understanding that the differences between them is that great. But that, they all typically work in the same manner(s). Myrkvior I believe was mentioned, that it would show this same problem, so I figured it was time to start going back and start testing over other tree mods. Here are three screen shots with Myrkvior, that do not show bright tops and darker bottoms, in different locations on the map. This picture, the trees in the distance, this is where I would typically see the brighter tops with EVT, that I showed screen shots of before. Looking carefully in the game at these trees, at the same distance on the map, none of the Myrkvior trees showed any bright tops. I'm going to test SFO and post those results. Thank you everyone for your time!
  8. Billboard1/4 in LOD8/LOD16 Is LOD4 still level 0 and; LOD8 Billboard 1 LOD16 Billboard 4 THANKS
  9. 25/125 nothing... I've tried many Direct/Ambient numbers, nothing changes, still bright tops. With changes in Direct/Ambient, there should be noticeable changes, and because I never see any changes, something here also seems wrong. This is starting to feel like a Bug in EVT I've uncovered. 30 hours to change tree colors, hmm, it certainly shouldn't be this complicated. OH, and I also used older EVT for DynDOLOD2 in the past, and I never saw this then. I think there's an issue with the latest EVT DynDOLOD3 bringing this on. This is 25/125. It's strange too, how this is only happening on the trees in the distance, notice the trees in the closer distance/left, normal. THANKS
  10. I assumed for EVT, 3D models existed for these settings? Also I can't seem to get rid of the bright tops with EVT. In TexGen I set the HD Tree Direct 70 Ambient 65. I assumed with Direct at 70, I would of seen some sort of change? Direct 70, there is absolutely no difference.
  11. Ok, I think I have it pretty decent now, with EVT's Default mesh and Vanilla Darker and TexGen HD Trees 100/65, but I'm guessing here on the TesGen numbers... hmm If I use Ultra: LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Level1, LOD16/Level2 Will I see the tress in the distance with any greater detail then I am seeing now? THANKS
  12. I'm trying Happy Little Trees 1.04 and I used Happy Little Trees 3D LOD - (Quality) Just outside the gate at Whiterun, the lookout on the left, I took a screen shot of the trees next to the mountain base. I posted a question about this at Nexusmods - Happy Little Trees, z929669 replied saying these are Vanilla LOD, that I am seeing in the distance. On the Steps Guide for SSE, I am using default settings for xLODGen, TexGen, and DynDOLOD-HD-QHD. In DynDOLOD, besides 'LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Billboard4, LOD16/Billboard1' I also tried, 'LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Level1, LOD16/Level2'. Here's a screen shot of how the trees look in the distance next to Whiterun, just outside the gate. They don't look too good, so I'm not sure why they aren't showing the 3D LODs with nicer detail. This is also a problem with every tree mod I run into, the trees looking this bad in the distance. But EVT doesn't look quite as bad, so far, they're the only tree mod that looks fairly decent in the distance. SFO, Happy Little Trees, Myrkvior, Treerific, and a few others I can't think of right now, all look bad at around this distance, which, I didn't think would be considered far in the game, to have such poor looking models... THANKS DynDOLOD_SSE.ini DynDOLOD_SSE_log.txt
  13. I've tried just about every combination possible, with the exception of not trying some of the 'Greener Pines' options, but I did try several of them, with several textures, and they never made any differences. The only changes I could make happen was with Vanilla None/darker textures, but then, I now end up a mixture of dark and light running on both sides of some trees. So percentage wise, I went through about 90% of this, and I find it odd, that this has been extremely difficult to correct, and I don't believe I have any unusual mod setup, to where it would cause this issue, but if I did, I'd certainly love for someone to show what they believe could cause this in the setup, because I've disabled many times, with many different tests many texture and lighting mods, and nothing changed this either in my setup. Also, when I created my mod setup, I did not see anywhere, where any of these mods were in conflict with one another. Maybe I've simply uncovered a bug, no one has really seen much of before. Here's a screen shot, I placed a red arrow over a tree, you'll notice now this mixture of dark and light on both sides of the tree, also you can see this color scheme now on several trees off in the distance too. I've probably used in total 15 tree mods, and around 5 tree addon mods, since I started modding in SSE, I've never once seen this issue with another tree mod, or tree addon mod, only EVT. And I've spent a lot of time, over 2 weeks, also very methodically, carefully and around 40 hours on EVT and ripping apart my setup in MO2 disabling all sorts of mods, if anything where to be in question, then I took them out of the equation, but nothing works. Well, if anyone is up for a challenge, or would like to have a play, a go, I've attached my mod list, I've done all I can do. THANKS P.S. Fixed Mesh Lighting is in the guide, but I'm reading about some issues with this; Fixed Mesh Lighting at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) modlist.txt
  14. Ultra: LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Level1, LOD16/Level2 Thanks
  15. I'm using the guide settings from the 'DynDOLOD-HD-QHD' screen shot, what tree rule in DynDOLOD would I change to use higher quality 3d LODs in the higher levels, further out? THANKS
  16. I am testing methodically, not sure what you mean, I'm not just messing around, I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue for 2 weeks, still scratching my head. Because from what I can tell, I don't have any mods installed that are suppose to be conflicting with EVT to cause this. Also the trees for EVT are the only tree mod that does this, I've probably used in the past 4 other tree mods, never once saw this issue with them. As far as the difference in colors from tops and bottoms, I'm not talking about any general tree mods, I'm only talking specifically about EVT, so I assumed DynDOLOD has this mod covered very well, since it's in the Guide. Does EVT have 3D tree LOD models for these pine trees in the distance? Soulmancer posted the same exact issue before, that first screen shot, shows brighter tops, and many of those trees aren't that very far in the distance. I get the feeling this has been around in EVT for some time, and no one has really noticed it. I've disabled every landscape/texture mod and nothing has changed this, trees still look the same.
  17. Well I will say, I'm pretty happy with these last results. I'm using Enhanced Vanilla Trees SE-Custom Trees 2K, Darker, small, SFO4. Here's a screen shot at Whiterun looking out over the Tundra. The color difference is still noticeable, but I don't see it now in as many trees. Of course the picture has low lying clouds, but even clear, it looks better with this texture. Tundra — ImgBB (ibb.co) Here's Whiterun looking at the mountains on the side. SF04 looks really nice in the game too. Whiterun-landscape — ImgBB (ibb.co) And of course, just some eye candy, LOL, I'm really happy with my setup and Pi-CHO just put out an update the other day, really great ENB. Whiterun — ImgBB (ibb.co) If I could get the trees looking more consistent and even more realistic/detailed in the distance it would be great. I actually thought when I started messing with this, that using a 3080, trees would look more detailed real in the farther distance. The second screen shot 'Whiterun Landscape' they certainly do, but going beyond this distance, further out, they loose a lot of detail. Even though Skyrim is fairly old, is it possible to create more realistic 3D looking trees in the game, I mean is someone working on a way? THANKS
  18. DynDOLOD_SSE_Tree_Report..txt should help track down the issue for the bright tops/dark bottoms? I've tried 3 different textures, 80 hours and several weeks later, I can't come up with anything. All I know is this only happens with EVT, no other tree mods. I'm attaching DynDOLOD_SSE_Tree_Report.txt THANKS DynDOLOD_SSE_Tree_Report.txt
  19. Ok, maybe in tfc view it just looked this way is all. THANKS
  20. Ahh this is Sleeping Tree Camp. Sleeping Tree Camp | Elder Scrolls | Fandom This is a tree in SSE, I assumed there's a tree lod for it? THANKS P.S. I found Fancy Sleeping Tree Replacer (I'll give this a go) Fancy Sleeping Tree Replacer at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
  21. The screen shot on the left, look at the trees the farthest out in the distance on the left, if you stare very closely, you can make out what looks bright tops too on a few of them, but it's very faint. It looks like this is just how EVT is, I've tried three different versions, all the same. But as I mentioned before, it's not the top of the tree, it's trees that are lighter in color behind darker trees, giving the illusion that the ones in front have a dark top. I just tried 'Happy Little Trees' and didn't see this issue on any tree. THANKS
  22. OK, I used tfc and went over to the trees, and from what I can tell, it's not the tops of the trees, it's that some trees are appearing brighter behind darker trees giving this illusion. I also found this tree with no texture either. EVT is the only tree mod I have installed, so I don't get why this is purple. Hmm I need to play with some other tree mods, EVT is just not looking good to me. THANKS
  23. I just tried EVT 4K and the same thing. Shouldn't the EVT textures just work out the box without having to mess around like this? I thought it's the reason it's in the SSE guide, because they just work. So I don't get why I am having this issue with a mod like EVT hmm
  24. Ok, deleting the grass directory in Wyrmstooth, then remaking the grass cache, it all finally worked, DynDOLOD success with only GID. THANKS
  25. Ok, I deleted the 'grass' directory, and repacked it, because everything in it was a .gid. I used BSArch, I hope it's fine to pack? -- 'bsarch.exe pack folder name.bsa -sse' After removing the grass directory, when I ran DynDOLOD it still says; [05:22] Error reading grass WyrmstoothWorld [15,3] <Unknown grass data file format> Is this ok? THANKS
