  2. Yep, EVE is integrated into NVEC and I believe by using the NVEC PN / NVEC WMX patch, you won't need any other PN / EVE / WMX patch (e.g. those plugins in PN Patches page) since NVEC's patches are taking care of any incompatibilities. For me NVEC is the base from which I start to mod New Vegas. It is a big deal that it helps you reduce your load order so much. But I don't know if it could fit this guide, since it's not 100% lore friendly and not every mod in it is gonna please everyone.

  4. You should really try New Vegas Enhanced Content https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44204/? It's a huge compilation of mods merged all together (including EVE, NV Bounties 1&2 and several popular weapon packs like Micalov's) plus a collection of error corrections and bug fixes. Pros: -The amount of extra gameplay, quests, etc you get is extraordinary, this mod really extends the life of NV a lot -With this mod you get a deep breath when dealing with load order and plugin restrictions since the amount of plugins you save up is enormous. -No compatibility issues between the mods that NVEC integrades in it (we are talking about a lot of mods just check the enhancements list on the description page). -It has compatibility patches for all the famous and popular mods like Project Nevada, AWOP, etc. (speaking of which you should really include A World of Pain in your guide that mod is a must). Cons: -Some people might not like or find lore-friendly all the enhancements and definitely collecting old SNES cartridges is not immersive (but again you have the option whether to activate or not these collectables). -Compatibility issues with almost any other mod out there, usually not crucial ones but eventually there will be conflicts with NVEC the more mods you add. -If a mod that's already integrated into NVEC gets updated you 'll have to wait for the next NVEC version to have that mod updated as well.
  5. As wolverine said already the only working way (that I am aware of) is simply creating a fake New Vegas directory placing inside the default_ini, the new vegas.exe, the new vegas launcher.exe and a Data folder containing the new vegas.esm and then change the settings in FOMM to point at that directory. You install in FOMM the hud mods you want or any other mod that cannot be installed with MO and then you just select all the files that will have been created inside that Data folder-except the new vegas.esm- and you add them in a winrar achive with a name of your choice. You then open that rar file in MO just like you install every other zip/rar mod file and voila. That way I have managed to install oneHud, DarnUI, Unified Hud and they all work just fine.
  6. Ok, thanks for the fast answer. My workaround on installing hud mods at least in new vegas was to install them via FOMM in a fake NV directory then zip in an archive all the contents that I had just installed and install that zip file manually like every other mod in MO. I believe it will work the same on FO3 right? My only problem with MO and NV was the fact that whenever I tried to unpack bsa files MO would crash. I think I 've seen it mentioned elsewhere aswell but anyway I can live without that feature(I mostly wanted to unpack the official texture bsa files to optimize the textures in them but anyway). I 'll check your links though since I believe they will be totally helpful and thanks for showing me this forum!
