SKYRIMLE Realistic Nights (by MountainFisherman)
egocarib replied to Scafremon's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just wanted to say, I tried several lighting level presets of this mod in combination with RLO (I'm not using CoT), and I really didn't like it. It pretty much ruined the extremely well-done RLO city exteriors and minor cities edits. The difference was quite drastic, for me at least - I may try and post a screenshot later if I get a chance. -
pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)

I've contacted mannygt & I'm going to be making a slightly modified version of Morning Fogs that will allow you to set the percentage chance of a morning fog (instead of it always occurring 100% every day). Sort of personal preference, since I wanted to make these a bit more rare. Notably, this will also involve a script fix - I realized as I was looking into the mod that manny's script uses somewhat unsafe update events - basically, once you have entered the same area as one of these fogs (whether you see it or not, no matter the time of day) it begins an update loop to check the time of day every minute or so, that will never stop. Once you've encountered all the fog areas in game, that means there are script updates occurring every few seconds from all of these fog objects, and these are the type of updates that do not go away even if you uninstall the mod. So it has a bit more script overhead than necessary. Although this isn't so frequent as to really significantly impact your performance, it's still something that I'd like to address. In addition to adding a user-adjustable fog chance percentage, I'll be modifying things so that the fog scripts use a safe updating method, which does not persist if the mod is uninstalled, and only remain active while you're in the same cell as the fog, so it should be a lot nicer. Will update you when I get things finished. :) -
Heh, well.. pretty definitive test here. My game won't even load normally from the first default autosave at the Helgen scene. I install this, and it loads every time. Reproduced this every time - ILS without, loads in about 30 seconds with it. So I guess that means it works without ENBoost. :) Will report back later if things continue going well.

hellianos, how's it going for you, and what are you all using? I have the same rig as you, "1GB vram and 6gb of triple channel ram." Are you benefiting from this? I've read this entire thread (okay, I skimmed a few pages  ) and it's still unclear to me whether ENBoost is required or not. According to ENBoost install instructions I don't have enough VRAM to run ENBoost (I also tried it a few months back and it didnt seem to do anything for me). However, I get frequent ILS and some CTDs using a pared down STEP install, with only a few custom picked mods thrown in, so I'm hoping this (or something) might help.. eager to start a new playthrough but I need a bit more stability first.

It does have COT compatibility options in the installer. -

Confusing installer instructions though with the Optional IS Patches. Has "Vanilla Skyrim IS Fix" which says to use if you don't have DG or DB. Then it has DG & DB IS Fixes that say to use the vanilla one with them, and no indication if you're supposed to use all three or what.. Heh. Well I suppose I'll just choose none for now, since they are not required, only recommended. -

Looks really really good. I am going to try this out with RLO soon. Thanks for posting the link. -
Yes & Yes Just navigate to the "Actor Value Information" section of whatever you've got loaded in TESEdit, right click on the appropriate skill (or Werewolf/VampirePerks entry) and "Apply Script".

SKYRIMLE Take Notes - Journal of the Dragonborn (Lord Conti)
egocarib replied to Noobsayer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just to confirm, this isn't the sort of thing that will have any performance impact at all on your game. It only runs when you open the menu, and the data is stored outside of your save file entirely. And more to the point of the mod, the latest visual book setup looks amazing.. this is really a phenomenal modding achievement, not easy to pull off. -
Mator just added an awesome Perk Tree editor that can be used through TES5Edit. Take a look at the mod site for some nice pics - Definitely worth checking out. With no knowledge or experience necessary you can simply point and click and re-design all of your perk trees in a few seconds if you want. Far more precise and easy to work with than the Creation Kit perk tree UI. I made my smithing tree look like a cactus wearing a sombrero in less than thirty seconds. :D

Mod updated to version three, for any interested. You can now customize every type of potion & poison that exists in the game.

Edit: Actually, this gif image is even better - this is what the new version will look like that the author is working on, with more subtle & fluid stages to the growth process. Looks really nice, and a good overall immersion factor I think. Video exhibiting the current (less fluid) version: [video=youtube]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zki07dn1NAM

Can't help posting this one... the images look so good. Five O Clock Shadow

So glad to see this working flawlessly now :)

@statmonster: Yep, that will achieve the same effect if you just want to fix your follower. @Drax8: Unfortunately the logs don't give any useful info - you have to sort of manually narrow it down by removing a few plugins at a time.

Dienes has been working very actively on updating the SkyProc library on an almost daily basis over in the Beth forums, and seems committed to eventually figuring out this issue, so I would give it some time. It is a very weird error from a coding standpoint so it may take awhile to figure out the source of the problem. In the meantime, if you still want to use the patcher, you could try adding whichever DLCs (or other plugins) that are producing errors for you to your BlockList.txt for the patcher (for me, it was only the cleaned Dawnguard.esm that caused errors). This way you'd still get the changes applied to the vast majority of Vanilla and modded NPCs/followers, with only a few exceptions.

SKYRIMLE Bethesda Performance Textures - Armor - Clothes - Weapons
egocarib replied to Nearox's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I have also been impressed by these in my own gameplay. I'm running on a lower-end machine (hopefully will be remedied soon :) - but in the meantime...), after installing much of the STEP 2.2.7, I've noticed some long loading screens and slight stuttering, so still looking for ways to continue to optimize. Anyone know how these compare with Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized, both in terms of quality and size? It's also probably worth noting that the author of this pack has since released another set of textures for Animals and Creatures which appear to be of equal quality. I used both his packs during my last playthrough before installing STEP, and was impressed with them. I realize they're lower quality than the main STEP recommendations, of course. -
Nexus Link I have been playing with these for a long time and they look really fantastic. Looking through 2.2.7, I couldn't find where, though I assume pelts must be covered in one of the STEP texture replacers?

Just wanted to say, this looks fantastic - some nice gems in this mod list from the looks of it. I'm about 2/3 done with my STEP install, which I've been balancing alongside work on my mods, but when I get it up and running I will definitely be giving this a try :) Also, anyone using this pack without ENB? My current rig can't run one, just wondering how it looks and if there are any tweaks or deviations I should plan on making. -
Another quick addendum, since you're tracking the SPERG version, William - I made another final edit/re-upload a few minutes ago, to add functionality to the SPERG version so that when you install it, it will properly respec all SPERG perks you already have automatically, and replace any SPERG auto-perks with the corresponding Enchanting Awakened auto-perks. So, very much plug-and-play now. (Of course, this isn't an issue if you're starting a new game).
-
Yeah, had something to do with removing some DLC masters with TES5Edit, somehow the references got messed up the first time around.
-
Updated things tonight to remedy an error with the SPERG version, and I've also added a patch for Apocalypse Spell Package (the only necessary change was to properly integrate the Cloak of Souls spell into Enchanting Awakened) If you've any more patch requests for anything Enchanting Awakened isn't playing friendly with, now is the time to pass them my way, I'll do my best to take care of them if possible :)
-
That would be great WilliamImm, BAIN installers are my one weakness. And all versions are compatible with any of the patches. Choosing the weapon fx option wont matter if you install the AWE or SeeEnch patch, as both patches will overwrite that option.
-
Yes, sorry - I should have specified. It will work with the Full Basic or Full Complete versions of SSR. And hello criswolf :)
