  1. I really cannot come up with anything else on your issue, but if you haven't already, try run skyrim with either of the following: - Transparency AA turned off in the Skyrimprefs.ini and in CCC - Transparency AA turned on in the Skyrimprefs.ini and in CCC - Transparency AA turned on in the SKyrimprefs.ini and turn on SSAA in CCC. Use 2x AA for the last 2.
  2. Yes smaa can sometimes become broken in RadeonPro. The way I do it: - Use FXAA from RadeonPro - Use ENBoost - Install SweetFX 1.4 to Skyrim dir. Use the smaa injector (which is the default). Rename d3d9.dll to SweetFX_smaa.dll. Do not overwrite the exisiting d3d9.dll in the Skyrim dir. - In enblocal.ini apply the following: [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=true InitProxyFunctions=true ProxyLibrary=SweetFX_smaa.dll You can now use scroll lock to enable/disable smaa in Skyrim. By default it also has Lumasharpen and some other setting on, which looks great tbh.
  3. Did you have to make many, if any, custom TES5Edits for your setup Garfink? I mean patches that are not in the SR / SR:LE / SR+ASIS+Duel guides.
  4. Very simple question: What do you think is a great skill tree or build of the Skyrim Redone mod? My current state of doubt: - I'm currently tempted to go mage but on my first and only playthrough of the game I already was a mage. Been playing warrior on and off a bit too, but didn't get further than lvl 20 with warrior. Are the mage changes (in destruction, illusion, alteration, restoration) enough to make it interesting? Are mages underpowered or overpwered at, let's say, lvl 40 or 50? - I think sneaking/archery looks like great fun but I'm afraid it'll be tedious in a couple lvls - Playing 1h + shield is fun, I like the bashing, but here again would the game not become tedious after a while, making the same moves over and over? What kind of builds do you have experience with? Why do or do you not like particular skill trees of SkyRe?
  5. I agree. Too many stuff that makes the game easy and takes away some rpg elements. However the way it fits into the environment and the architecture itself is very well done imo.
  6. Neovalen and Aiyen: Thanks for sharing yours, much appreciated. Gonna try 4096 now :)

  8. Garfink: What settings would you recommend for ENBoost option: My system is i5 2500k, HD6950 2gb vram, 16gb ram, ssd. I know about the formula given by Boris: vram+ ram - 2048. However I simply cannot logically see how applying 14 or 16gb to ENBoost would be of any benefit. Currently I use which is equal to my card's vram. What setting do you use with your titan? (and if others are reading this I'm very much interested in yours as well).

  10. Garfink you are a goldmine, sharing your experience is really invaluable to me. Yup I also disabled Wet & Cold as well as Footprints (and also Destructible Bottles to clear up papyrus log errors). I really don't think they are essential for immersion. In fact, I disabled a lot of mods that added or messed with scripts. Just to clarify one sentence: If I understand this correctly: - Without Wet & Cold but with Inconsequential NPCs --> ETaC will crash the game - Without Wet & Cold AND without Inconsequential NPC --> ETaC will NOT crash the game - With Footprints enabled --> ETaC will crash the game Would you happen to know how well Immersive Patrols runs with ETaC? Do the pathways of the patrols/battles/travellers etc. cross or conflict with the buildings added by ETaC?
  11. Perfect! Thanks so much!
  12. Make sure you install (or do a re-install) of the correct java version as per SUM instructions.
  13. Alright I will keep using ENBoost for now then :) But what I meant was, assuming you are using Mod Organizer, in the left pane where your installed mods are listed --> right click select export to csv :) The boss list is not so useful because it is the same for everyone (unless you manually changed a lot of stuff in BUM). The installed mod order list is because it also shows where you placed your scripted mods.
  14. Aright, cheers rootsrat for all the assistance :)
  15. Garfink, thank you very much for sharing your experience here!. After crashing rather frequently with full SR + ASIS + Skyre + Immersive Patrols, I am also considering cutting down on script mods. Good to know that it is not so much GPU power/vram related as it has to do with the game engine itself. What wasn't clear to me from your post is if you are still using ENBoost or not. I personally run a 6950 2gb and i5 2500k. vram usage is at 70-80% most of the time while ram doesnt go higher than 2.5gb would you still advice me to use ENBoost or not? Since you seem to be so stable I kinda got a little request, if I may be so free to do so, which would take 30seconds of your time. I know you did all the effort in trimming down the mods, but would you be willing to give me your install order list? It would be a huge help me for and for the community. You can right-click on your installed mod list and then choose export to CSV. Copy/paste the contents to https://pastebin.com/ and then post the link here. If you could do that twice, once for 'everything' and once for 'active mods' I would be eternally grateful and I am sure many others with me could learn a great deal from it too.
  16. Hmm that's interesting, thanks. I might actually try that although it would be hard to give up AV! I can easily live without BFS & EBT though. Would you be able to tell me anything about the papyrus log errors? When an error is repeated hundreds of times, does this mean that it is a probem? I know papyrus is not really a tool for CTD detection but it just doesn't look good when some scripts just keep spitting out continous errors. See my edit above for the link. I was under the impression that a clean SR or STEP install (I used STEP too for a couple months) were supposed to be CTD/Freeze free (although the authors never claimed them to be). I guess I was wrong (no offense intended) and that it is simply very hard to get a crash-free modded Skyrim.
  17. - Issue info: My game freezes randomly. It could be anywhere between 5min and 3h into the game. I seem to experience it sometimes like 10sec after combat, but it may just be a coincidence. Last time it crashed on the road from the standing stones to riverwood, a few seconds after I killed wolf pack. The game freezes but the music keeps playing. Need to ctlr-altd-del and end process. - Install info: I run a SR install and followed it to the letter. I then installed ASIS+Skyre as per the basic guide thread in the SR forum section. Applied and selected the patches carefully. Also disabled some addons/modules such as Duel, ASIS combat module, BOYD, Better Vampires, Moonlight Tales, Werewolf Mastery, Predator Vision. Made sure that the relevant patches/esps were also disabled. My game has experienced these freezes whether running only SR or whether running SR + the mods just described. I also use Immersive Patrols and Project Parallex Remasterd. I have used the lowres/performance version of all texture packs. DDSOpted 90% of texture packs to 1k exteriors (.5k normals) and 2k interiors (1k normals). - System info: i5 2500k @4.3ghz (tested thoroughly for 100% stability). HD6950 2gb vram. 16gb ram. SSD. - I usually run between 1.6 and 1.9gb of vram. In the most taxing areas it can shoot up to 1970/1980 but it never really maxes out. GPU load is hovering between 80 and 90% of the times. FPS is limited with RadeonPro to 38fps. All hardware AA is off. Using SweetFX SMAA injector only. - I use ENBoost with the following settings: BOSS Log: I know about the 2 BOYD errors. The relevant esps are disabled. - Papyrus Log: Received dozens, if not hundreds of error of: MintyQuestForkScript, CHConfigQuestScript, AUAConfigQuestScript. I know the first one refers to Thunder During Lighting storms mod, but there was sunny weather when the crash occured. Not sure about the other scripts. The log is too large for a spoiler or code tag here. Will give you the link soon in an edit. EDIT: Link to Papyrus Log: https://efshare.com/?s=X3GEKL
  18. Sorry to necro an old thread but I have a question about this. My game sometimes freezes even though the sound keeps playing. I also use that combination of mods. Did your freezes with EBT only happen during combat or also let's say 10sec after combat (this is what is happening to me).Â
  19. Well if you are worried about speed (i.e., FPS) the only thing you should worry about is staying above 32FPS (this is the goal of the STEP guide and it is said to become unstable if you run long under 32fps). I believe that the game by default has Double-Vsync on. At least that was the case on my install. I think this is the default behaviour. It means that the game runs at either 60fps or, if you go below that, at 30fps (the console versions all run at 30fps). Therefore when your FPS dips from 60-45, the game will technically run at 30FPS, even if it shows a higher fps on the counter (this was the case on my install). This resulted in a sense of microstuttering for me. There are two things you can do about this: 1. In RadeonPro, make a profile for Skyrim (use TESV.exe and fill in a launcher with skse_loader). Under Tweaks > Vsync Control enable Vsync (do select Double Vsync). Now you'll have 'regular' vsync. 2. Check Dynamic Framerate Control and put it to a value just under your 'average minimum value'. Mine is at 38FPS. The RadeonPro FPS limiter is very good and works much better than the ENB limiter. 3. Make sure that iPresentInterval=0 in Skyrimprefs.ini and that vsync is said to off in enblocal.ini 4. Profit: Your game now runs smooth, without stuttering etc. I cannot observe noticeable difference between playing at around 40fps and at 60fps. The big concern is that it is stable and that my GPU load or VRAM is not at 100% all the time but more at like 80-90%, this improves stability and reduces CTDs. Iff your GPU is max loaded most of the time, try to lower the FPS limit a bit. It will reduce the load of the GPU as well.
  20. The issue basically boils down to DPI, or pixel density. You should increase your game resolution and then have the GPU scale it down. This is similar to AA, but is a powerful alternative that (as you can read in my previous post) consumes less VRAM if set-up correctly. https://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=366244 Do not follow EDIT3 comments from the above link. Follow EDIT2 instead, which is: https://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4511322&postcount=150 You do not need to install the 13.x drivers if you don't want. They dont really bring a lot to the hd6000 series: they are msotly focused on the hd7000 series. But I'd first get your SR install 100% up and running before going into this. Although it is a method which takes like 10min work and has little risk :) Try using a value which is like 30 or 40% of your current resolution and see how much FPS it eats (it eats a lot). EDIT: You should also check out RadeonPro if you aren't using that already, just a tip :)
  21. Hmm thanks for this DoubleYou :)
  22. There are 2 links in the SR guide. One link points you to uTorrent and the other to the SRO torrent (click Skyrim Realistic Overhaul). Open the link and click either torrent or magnet they both work. It's rare to find people who never used a torrent (no offense :P)
  23. thunderclam, I also run a 6950 and have been having huge issues with texture shimmering, which happens 90% when moving around and affects mostly foilage/bushes/trees/fences etc. anything with transparent stuff basically. See my post in the Troubleshooting forum of yesterday. I found a solution for it, with the help of Aiyren.Â
  24. uTorrent = program you need to download stuff torrents = the file (usually a few kb) that you open with uTorrent. it contains the information about the actual download. you download this small file and open it with utorrent. Choose save location Download starts
