There could still be VRAM problems - I hit 2.9GB on ugrids 5, but that is in Wyrmstooth so I'm not sure if that's representative of the rest of Skyrim.
-
Another hour of no CTD's - it was definitely SafetyLoad conflicting with Elys' MemInfo. Can the people reporting CTDs also include what other SKSE plugins they have installed?
-
So I just upgraded from 7870 Tahiti LE 2GB to 7970 Tahiti Pro 3GB. Besides the expected performance boost, I also tested Safety Load - and got CTD within a few minutes. So I decided to recheck my mod list, and disabled the one potentially problematic mod - SKSE Elys' Meminfo - and I haven't had any more CTDs. This has only been after playing for an hour, I'll update later once I have a few more hours of play. For now, it looks like there was some conflict between the 2 causing CTD, or some error that made ENB cause the CTD (I believe this was implemented to prevent being stuck if the game hung).
-
I finally installed this and while I was glad to see no ILS (my main issue, the game hanging while actually playing was incredibly rare) I have had too many CTD with SafetyLoad. GPU=AMD VRAM=2GB System RAM=8GB ENBoost - not sure on this, I am using ENB so isn't ENBoost part of this? Ugrids= Default 5 SafetyLoad version = 1.1 I think this could be a VRAM issue - I've not seen anyone with 3GB or more report issues. ENB already manages my VRAM right to the limit (I'm running SR with max textures possible), so perhaps SafetyLoad tries to load stuff to VRAM and that causes the CTD? Could people try by limiting ENB to, say 1900MB VRAM? I have a 7970 on it's way next week so I'll see if that makes Skyrim work better.

So... I'm guessing this fix is going to be up there with SkyUI in the "absolutely essential mods" category?
-
I played Skyrim for a total of 2 days, after which I spent a week getting SR set up. A few months later I'm at lvl28, having just put the difficulty from Adept to Master. Arrows are incredibly OP imo - even on Master sneak 3x+elven bow is a two shot kill max from lange range for most stock creatures, and (most annoying) my super-heavy armour does nothing to save me from a single bow shot. I don't know the physical realities, but I end up saving every 2 mins during a battle to avoid being killed by a random arrow. Anyway, after these few months of on-and-off gameplay I really want some more mods - SkyRe mainly, and lots of the VEGA Extended mods look interesting. That said, more mods=new game, and I honestly don't think I can be bothered to deal with that right now, or stability testing. I'd also like to finish the game, but that's not likely to happen either :/
-
I'm running Skyrim Revisited (1st Skyrim playthrough) so the too-easy sneak was very noticable. If the mods in VEGA Extended fix that mostly that 'd be great - it actually contains most of the mods I want to try on my next run, especially CWO, so I'm hoping it'll be stableish when I get round to redoing my Skyrim mods. Thanks again for all the hard work, I'll definitely be using it and giving feedback in the future.

Starting a New Playthrough - Tips for Stability?
Moragg replied to mikegray's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I thought Economics of SKyrim was supposed to cause issues... Additionally Wet&Cold is (I believe) quite CPU-intensive. I plan to remove it in my next run because a) my CPU isn't the best and b) It annoys me to no end. Setting myself or the world on fire doesn't increase exposure, and it's too much effort having to find big fires to warm myself by. Maybe try SkyRe as well if you're restarting. I know it's a must-have on my next playthrough, along with Civil War Overhaul. -
Interesting feature. I've uploaded the .torrent to torrage if someone wants to switch the link in-guide: https://torrage.com/torrent/6D3211C321E1C68BB1D1D22DF5D49E21FB1BFF1A.torrent

Moonpath to Elsweyr/interesting npcs
Moragg replied to runsbuns's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I'm Lvl21 now, won't really do a whole lot till I'm much higher. At lvl10ish I found "armoured skeleton mage" which makes my life infinitely easier - it carried me quite far and is invaluable against dragons - I summon one, it summons a flame atronach, dragon is occupied with them while I use Aela's bow to destroy it. One thing that does "annoy" me about Skyrim is how small everything is. Towns and holds should be much larger, but ofc then it wouldn't play well on consoles. -

Thanks! I'd tried it out and it hadn't broken anything but I wasn't sure what would happen when I actually went to Elswyer. -
Your Opinion / Knowledge of the following Mod Compatibilities
Moragg replied to Nearox's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If immersive settlements is modular, surely there's a way to merge the components we want into a single .esp? -
DROPPED Borderless Window (by virusek)
Moragg replied to rpsgc's question in Other Utilities Support
Ah, in that case I agree BW is much better. Those things are pretty much essential to run Skyrim in windowed. -

Out of curiosity: why not just ditch BW and use the options in ENB? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Moragg replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
For users in blocked countries (mine is) I used google cache to verify the info hash, searched google using the hash, dled the .torrent from h33tx (not blocked yet) - and have now uploaded the .torrent to Torrage. Neovalen - here's the link if you want to add it to the guide for users: https://torrage.com/torrent/6D3211C321E1C68BB1D1D22DF5D49E21FB1BFF1A.torrent -
Wyrmstooth - The great mod that i can't play
Moragg replied to 7hr08ik's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'm afraid that's all I can offer you, but I'll be following this thread because I'd like to see the solution. I have Wyrmstooth and it isn't causing any of those issues, but I haven't got any mods not in SR. -
Wyrmstooth - The great mod that i can't play
Moragg replied to 7hr08ik's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Did you delete the Wyrmstooth.ini ? It's in the ModOrganizer/mods/Wyrmstooth folder iirc -
Shame about the crashes... and I believe some of the tweaks were for Oblivion. I don't know if they carried over into Skyrim or not, but I put them in anyway.
-
I noticed no issues myself so decided to leave them in for the placebo effect - but iirc they were pretty much all "added" (ie not originally in the .ini) so can be removed without worry. Nearox - did the .ini's help?

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxHMnw1FCnAIcjczTmxISVBWNkU/edit?usp=sharing My skyrim inis I suspect my increasing iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes from 75kB to 750MB (skyrim.ini under [papyrus] )gives lots of room for the GPU to offload to, but that is guessing at best. Again before trying be aware ugridstoload=5 Also, I have a hex-core so under skyrim.ini I have: [HAVOK] iNumThreads=5 Change "5" to the number of physical cores you have, or leave it at 5 if you have 6 or more.
-
Dunno - I've edited my .ini's a bit (not a huge amount, just added multi-threading, grass, and memory tweaks) - no z fighting tweaks, I'll post them when I get back home. See if they help. Memory tweaks are for the pagefile though, not VRAM. Give them a try, it can't hurt (ugrid=5, so if you have that my ini won't hurt your save).
