Yeah... I think, I remember, restarting the computer sometimes was fixing this. So... what the hell is this? A game engine's bug?
-
So... I removed all the mods, I turned back to vanilla... and the "glitch" is gone. Now, I'll installing ONE-BY-ONE each mod and I'll checking the ingame, to see WHEN this "glitch" will appear. Do we have a link about the default/recommended nVidia hardware settings for SSE?
-
But, I already wrote you - and show you. I have only 4 mods with ini files... and none of these have shadows' settings. They are irrelevant mods (consurning shadows).
-
I wrote it already this... I tried the BethINI from the very first moment I faced this "glitch"; didn't help. And how am I doing this? I already have done all of these. I didn't "tweaked myself" my ini files, I checked guides like STEP's.
-
These "SVOTP" files, are all game's textures edited or replaced by me, all packed into BSA with "dummy" plugins (via CAO).
-
Only those, they have .ini files: I checked in the MO2's "Mods" directory and there are just these with .ini files. I checked in the MO2's "Mods" directory and there are just these with .ini files. These are my installed mods so far:

Currently, since I'm following Charlies' Guide, I haven't installed anything consurning shadows/lights etc. If you check his mod, I'm in his Step 6 - and there isn't any mod altering shadows, lights, etc. And for first time (after many years) I'm using again the MO2. Also, I used... my tweaked ini files... brand new (from Launcher) created... and BethINI tweaks! Nothing changed, the "glitch" still remains. Okay... So, I should disable that in Inspector? Can you provide me, please, the usual/default settings for Skyrim SE - for the Inspector? Here are my own (quite tweaked) ini files: Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini

Okay... ...I'm really pissed with this "glitch". It starts when I'm install few mods; not a lot, few! (When the game is totally vanilla I'm not facing this "glitch"). Currently, I have installed VERY FEW mods, following CFS111's Guide here (and I'm on Step6): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=929828423 Well... what's the "glitch": When I'm walking/running/moving OUTDOOR (not while I am interior), the shadows from the ENTIRE world (not just near me), are totally gone - dissapeared! When I'm stopping, all shadows appearing as normal! I thought it was my (quite much tweaked) ini files. So, I deleted them (made backup first) and I created brand new (via Launcher running). No tweaks, just the default ini files that always been created when you running for first time the Launcher... ...but the "glitch" is there, haven't gone! It's driving me crazy! I can't understand why's this happening... I also update the GPU (nVidia GTX 1070) drivers, nothing changed. I made a new profile in MO2 (without mods, totally vanilla game) and... the "glitch" gone! There isn't any shadows "dissapearing-reappearing". So...? What? I can't installing mods anymore? Because when I'm start installing mods, the "glitch" is coming back... Here are what I have in nVidia Inspector (perhaps here is the problem?): https://prnt.sc/26rjt51 Please, can anybody help me to solve this? It's super annoying, I can't play the damn game like that...

And except the 64 system I have, I also have 64 GBs of RAM in my PC. So, trust me, is not a memory issue.

Im already using the x64 version, is not the case. In both these posts, you saying to use the x64. I never used anything but that, since I have 64bit system. Obviously, you never crossed such problem before and this is a new issue.

I spoke to Avrie and he told me "he smells security issues". I have no idea what that means.

Sorry, but each new update has more issues that the previous ones. I used to running DynDOLOD with my prefered settings and after 40-45 minutes I was done. Now... I'm keep getting error messages. I ran the tool and I've got this: Creating atlas textures F:\DynDOLOD Output\Textures\DynDOLOD\LOD\DynDOLOD_Tamriel.dds from 298 textures [00:06:28.926] [00:06:28.926] Exception in unit userscript line 350: Access violation at address 004B40A9 in module 'DynDOLOD.exe'. Hey, can anybody help me on this? I'm running xLODGen and I'm selecting all to generate terrain, object BUT ALSO trees billboards too. I'm using ONLY this mod which is replacing all the vanilla textures - so I want to re-generate the vanilla billboards with the updated textures of this mod: https://lhmods.com/mods/skyrim-vanilla-overhaul-textures-project/ I'm running xLODGen, but it generates ONLY terrain/objects, no trees. I assume, is it because I don't have any LODGen files into the "Terrain" - since I'm using only vanilla stuff??? How am I suppose to re-generate ONLY the vanilla billboards (with the above mod's updated textures)??? I'm interesting about the TREES! I made the other (objects/terrain) ones.

Do I need to keep the billboards OUTSIDE a BSA file?

Ok, thxs. -

lupus_hegemonia replied to lupus_hegemonia's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Something else, please. Do I need to have created NORMAL MAPS to those .dds diffuse trees files? (For the billboards I mean). -

lupus_hegemonia replied to lupus_hegemonia's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Thxs for the reply. So, the dds/txt files of the billboards can be inside the BSA file, right? -
Hi there. I'm about to release a new version of my "FORESTS OF DIBELLA", probably the final version of this notorious mod. This time I think I'll pack the mod into BSA and I'll have a "fake" plugin ("flagged" as ESL) to support the BSA file. I'm wondering about the billboards for my trees. Should these files to be outside the BSA (as loose files, as they were all along) or to include them too into the BSA? Regards for any help.

Skyrim Vanilla Overhaul Textures PROJECT (by lupus_hegemonia)
lupus_hegemonia replied to joaron7's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Hello to you all. I just like to inform you I updated the mod (mods! They are 13 of them!) by replacing some textures or re-creating some (especially the "Sky" & "Effects" folders, I fixed the "seams"). I also want to clarify this AGAIN, here, as I did already in my site: This mod/mods are a COLLECTION I made all these (long/many) years I'm daily dealing with Skyrim SE. I included ALL my textures mods I've already created (in Nexus site or afterwards in my site), but I ALSO INCLUDED TEXTURES I NEVER RELEASED BEFORE. But!!! Huge "BUT"! I included MANY OTHER textures from ALL THE MAJOR artists, all these notorious/famous creators we all know and using their work! And no, I haven't "got any permission from them", since I don't have... their phone number to call them... or I don't have their Facebook profile to contact them! - I can't do it via Nexus, because I'm banned for ever because Nexus team are SUPER IDIOTS and can't understand simple things (when I gave my side's story for that silly accusations on me) - they "demanded" to remove that mod (a huge 'Clutter Collection' I spend a summer to create) or (they threaten me) ban me! I gave them the "middle finger" and told them to go to hell! - So, no, I haven't any permission, but I'm mentioning ALL THEIR NAMES. This mod/mods its like a... YouTube video collection! I have collected ALL THE BEST TEXTURES FOR THE ENTIRE GAME and I'm sharing the collection. I don't care for credits, only for my work and for the huge time I spend to collect all of these together. By the way, even those textures I took from these fine creators, I personally edited them (almost all the textures!), especially the normal maps since the 90% of the Nexus textures are suffering from good normal maps. This is it. A great collection to install FIRST OF ALL (even before the USSEP of the glorious Arthmoor) and actually NOT BOTHER ANY MORE for textures mods - except of course if you install NEW/DIFFERENT/BETTER meshes and they need non-vanilla textures. Enjoy fellas and I hope to see you in my site too. -
No matter what I do, I have horrible shadows in SSE!
lupus_hegemonia replied to lupus_hegemonia's question in General Skyrim SE Support
Thxs a lot. So... the previous versions of SSE had BETTER SHADOWS (as I remember) than the "new fixed" ones, right? "Lovely". Classic-Bethedsa policy, they ...destroying those they left untouched. -
