  1. Hello ! I have a problem with SKSE 1.7.1 + ENBoost and hope someone here can help. I read the last pages and saw someone else (Alastor I believe) that had the same problem than me and it seemed to be resolved by updating directx if I understand ? If so I tried that and it didn't help at all :/ Here is what happens : I'm making a new install of Skyrim following the STEP. At the moment I have -Cleaned the update and DLC esms via TES5Edit -Installed ENBoost (with the ini modifications) -Made the SKyrim and SkyrimPrefs INI modifications I launched the game via MO at every step and it worked (new game => I'm in the cart and I exit the game without saving) Then I installed SKSE (still following the STEP instructions, also seen in Gophers vid about MO). Everything seems to work fine, SKSE appears in MO exe list I have the scripts and I created the ini file as asked. I launch the game via MO/SKSE, launch a new game, get the load screen but then instead of the cart appearing the game crashes to desktop without any warning or error message. Just unchecking the SKSE folder in MO and launching MO/Skyrim it works fine. To see if it was my install of SKSE that was wrong I reinstalled SKSE via the installer and launched SKSE outside MO => it crashes. I had the idea to remove the 4 enb files (enbhost, enbseries, d3d9.dll and enblocal that was created at first launch) and launch the game via SKSE (outside MO) => works fine I get in the carriage I reinstalled ENBoost from scratch following the STEP procedure, launched SKyrim directly (ie not using SKSE or even MO ): the ENB is active, recognizes my graphic card and I get the message saying ENBoost is on and the graphic modifications are disabled : I can create a new game with no problem (that's what I already had with the pevious installation anyway but just to be sure this is a fresh install of ENBoost) Keeping ENBoost I launch via SKSE (still outside MO ) => crash. So it seems that ENBoost and SKSE are both properly installed and play nicely alone but together they make my game crash when launching a new game (I don't have a save to test it on as it's a new install). I use ENB Series v0265 (wrapper) and SKSE v1.7.1 and all the esms are int he right order Update, then dawnguard, then Hearthfires, then Dragonborn, then the Hiresolution textures. Does anyone have any idea of what could be the problem ? EDIT : SOLVED !! Silly me for a moment I forgot how windows works : As i said in my post I had updated Directx seeing what was said in previous pages, and the installation worked correctly and didn't ask me to reboot. But of course it's windows we're talking about so I had this crazy idea, just to see and rebooted my computer ... and now it works. So it you have this same problem ENBoost+SKSE crashing when starting a game, update your Directx AND reboot even if it's not asked. Hope my very long post and silly mistake can help someone else in the same situation.
  2. I'm trying to use FNIS as described in step, I could add it as an exe to the mod organizer without problem and it runs when I launch it. The problem is that afterwards when I try to execute it (Click the [update FNIS Behavior] button) I get this error message : ERROR(76): Could not find a part of the path 'D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\templates\FNISRoot_Behavior_Template.txt'. So I'm stuck there because of course I could install it manually in the skyrim directory but the other mods aren't there... Could someone help me solve this problem please? Edit 31/07/2013 15:18 I decided to try this and hope it won't break my game : I did copy the folders of the FNIS Mod and all the mods it was correcting (dual Sheath redux, new animations for running with bow) in the skyrim data folder. I ran Fnis from there and then copied back the folders to mod organizer\mods. I also found a new mesh folder created by FNIS in the skyrim\data folder, that one I copied into the overwrite folder in mod organizer. I then installed the mods in mod organizer (checked the mods in the left panel and checked the .esps in the right panel). I hope this is a correct workaround as I really couldn't find any other way. I still hope someone could point me to the reason why it didn't work properly from Mod Organizer in the first place.
