I thought part of the reasoning behind MLU was to modify some alchemy ingredients and potions for balance purposes.  With CACO loading after MLU are we forwarding those specific changes or ignoring them?

MLU doesn't cover all the potions and ingredients from CACO + it changes the potion names and the model filenames which come inconsistent with the rest of potions and ingredients that are covered by CACO...so I think caco should go after mlu..Also there are the mlu patches that go after caco patches...Anyway you could CR the things that you like more in between them...

In this play through I'm going to be running without YouHunger, iNeed, Frostfall, and Bathing.  Should I just remove the ELFX after YouHunger rule or is there something else I should load it after?  I'm just not sure if the rule is specifically to fix conflicts between YouHunger and ELFX or if it's just trying to get it 'roughly' at a certain spot in the load order.

to be honest i don't know what would be best and I haven't forwarded anything as yet.

Just for the clarification about this, the author of MLU saying this in the mod comment thread

  • LOOT does not have MLU in its masterlist, so it won't know  where to put it. Run LOOT first, then place MLU and its patches very low.
  • Don't forget CACO goes below MLU, followed by either patch

I play now without survival mods too but i kept you hunger. The only thing that it does is removing the huge amounts if foid around skyrim. So less items better fps.

So as it is now is ok. Mlu followed by caco then caco patches then mlu patches

I've gone through and updated an older (month or two out of date) SRLEX install to the latest and thinking maybe I missed something.  After finishing the update I've tried some stress testing but am crashing within around 3m of starting the game during a speed run from riverwood to basically anywhere.

My stress test method was pretty standard:

coc Riverwood

wait on mcm menus to finish loading

tcl

tgm

player.setav speedmult 1500

Run in any direction staying near the ground.  If I point myself down river i tend to crash somewhere above the lake.. I make it a similar distance in other directions.

My papyrus log is showing some fairly consistent errors.

Papyrus Log at: https://pastebin.com/jCNEqCqu

Load order at: https://pastebin.com/6XCuRtps

PC Specs at: https://speccy.piriform.com/results/sBF4b8N4gwlXL5duWLtZY2k

Any thoughts?  My previous install felt fairly stable but I never stress tested it like this so I'm not sure what to expect.  Maybe this is normal and loading this much this fast is expected to crash and burn?

Unrelated to the above... what sort of performance would you expect someone with my pc specs to get in exteriors?

well for starts you've missed the new NPC Retexture Merged and CACO loot rules I added this morning.

I also run a 980 ti and get between 50-45 FPS in outside heavy areas. but most of the time 60 fps

Edit if you are only running 2GB and a doubt that not on a GTX 980Ti then that is nowhere near enough VRam for SRLE Extended.

There were a couple cases during load that crash fixes reported an issue during foot IK.  The crashes I speak of above were after successful loads and result in a CTD with no message from crash fixes.

Ah, I did all of the updates last night so I would have missed changes from this morning.  I'll check that loot rule and see if it makes a difference.  Thanks!

My 980ti is 6gb;  not sure why speccy reported it at 2GB.

windows is reporting the whole 6gb?

Yes.  Speccy is kind of old, it's probably using a 32bit integer for reporting the ram size.. which would roll over at 4gb.. thus leaving 2gb reported afterwards.  When I can get back to my desktop I'll confirm with GPU-z
