Mesh problem - SMIM's smeltermarker.nif causes flashing with ENB

Question

Mesh problem - SMIM's smeltermarker.nif causes flashing with ENB

I am not the only one that have this problem. There are many reports on Nexus, Reddit and here on STEP. This problem disappeared when I hide this mesh from SMIM and using smeltermarker.nif from USKP.

Check this video out. This is not my video, but shows the same problem.

Mine is not as bad as this video, but quite annoying.

There is no fix from Brumbek yet.

Anyone can help? SparrowPrince? :)

Yup, been annoyed by this problem too for a while. My solution was also to hide the mesh. I also have similar flashing happen to carriages, but haven't tried figuring out what is causing that.

same here I've always just hind the file MO hopefully the mod author can find a solution to this annoying problem.

If youre going to report it then add the carriage to the problem. I've noticed this and there was a small discussion on it, it seems to only happen with some ENBs, Vividian is pretty consistent.

To get the carriage to flash, "coc riverwood" from main menu and walk toward whiterun.

Had this even been reported? Brumbek is usually good at providing fixes.

Brumbek knew about it. He posted on nexus in July 2015 that he could not replicate the problem, and he does not use ENB.

I never have a problem with carriage.

Thanks for your workaround, I've encountered this on a regular base while using Tundra ENB. Here's my screens, it doesn't occur only 2 or 3 times but is totally replicable.

What is wrong with hiding the mesh by the way? Seems like a fine solution to me or does it look odd somehow?
