TL;DR - Loads of text ahead. This post is pretty short but I've posted my entire mod list and plugin list in the next reply so beware it's very lengthy. Thanks to Greg for giving me a head's up.

 

Alright, I just finished installing both SR:LE and REGS as well as some other custom mods. I have everything setup and working, as well as conflict resolution. However, I have encountered a few bugs and have a question that maybe somebody could help me with.

 

First, I have Alternate Start installed and whenever I choose the option "I own property" it bugs out because whenever I sleep I wakeup right where the bed is in the ASLAL dungeon and MARA disappears. I have no lockpicks either so I have to reload the game. No matter how much I tried it keeps happening. Can somebody give an explanation?

 

Second, whenever I choose the Necromancer option I spawn in Blackreach in that little home. The problem is, is that when I leave the game CTD's immediately. I don't think I have mods that affect Blackreach either. 

 

EDIT; Actually, I have Blackreach Overhaul, maybe that's what causing issues?

 

Third, I don't know if it's supposed to be like this but the game is INCREDIBLY dark. Like, I can't see a *single* thing if there is no light source. Which makes sense but I don't want to have to carry a torch around constantly. I've tried to increase brightness and decrease gamma in both the Skyrim ini and ENB ini yet it is to no avail (makes the game look terrible). Is there any way to fix this, possibly removing a mod or just adjusting some settings in the ENB ini?

 

Also, apparently SR:LE just added Immersive Citizens:AI Overhaul to it's list and somebody just made a thread about it. Unfortunately it conflicts with JK's Skyrim and ETaC. I'm debating on whether or not removing that mod or the cities mods which I really don't want to do since both offer great immersion. Which should I remove? Also, could this possibly be linked to the reason why choosing the "Property' option in ASLAL just bugs out and doesn't spawn me in a city since they are conflicting?

 

I am also getting some minor flickering but it's not enough to bother me.

 

My specs.

 

-PCS+ R9 290

-Intel i5-4690K

-8GB RAM

-128GB SSD

-750W EVGA PSU

 

So I have a decent system. But can the flickering issues be related to me having an AMD card alongside an ENB? They aren't annoying and ever so rarely it flickers but it's not very noticeable. Following STP's Z Fighter guide didn't help either.

Well as its stated on the citizen overhaul page (and you have a thread here) that the mod is not compatible with etac, maybe thats causing the issues

I've actually just uninstalled Citizens AI Overhaul and am about to test.

Anyways, I actually fixed the Blackreach issue, apparently uninstalling Blackreach Overhaul didn't exactly work. When it was installed, right when I went to open the door, it crashed immediately right before I hit the load screen. Uninstalling it showed the loading screen but when it fully loaded it CTD'd. I fixed the issue by switching the iShadowMapResolution Primary and Secondary to 1024, down from 2048 in my SkyrimPrefs.ini, and what do you know, it worked. Blackreach loaded perfectly fine :D

 

EDIT: Despite the fact that I at least hit didn't CTD immediately with Blackreach Overhaul installed, I decided to reinstall it and test with the new iShadowMapResolutions at 1024 and 2048 and vuala, it worked. So it looks like the shadows were the issue and Blackreach Overhaul is fine. Great!

 

Now that I've uninstalled Citizen AI Overhaul, The "Property" option still doesn't work. I still spawn back in the same room where I started and the Mara statue disappears. Interestingly enough I do spawn with the clothes on, e.g when I chose Whiterun I was out of my prisoner clothes. The last time I installed SR:LE about a few months back it worked absolutely fine, but I had a terrible GPU so I uninstalled it. Now that it doesn't work I'll look into it.

 

I can't do anything about the darkness but I'm starting to like it. Interiors and nights are pitch black but I can see a little. I love the adventurous feel and I love that it forces me to use a torch or magelight. The light sourcing is working amazingly. 

 

Also, by making some changes in the Catalyst Control Center the flickering is 98% gone, with the only time flickering starts is on loading screens yet it only happens one time. So that's good.

 

I'll update this reply when I figure everything out. For right now I'm just going to keep my iShadowMapResolutionPrimary at 512 and my Secondary at 1024 because lowering it reduces crashes A LOT. Now that I remember when I had them at 4096 the game would CTD at load up. Reducing them fixed the problem instantly, without any load order changes or patches. So that seems to play a big factor in stability.
