SR:LE (Close to all) textures missing & CTD on leaving cell

Question

Hello everybody,
 
I'm somewhat between beginner and regular in modding. I have modded raw before, used NMM and MO now a few times.
I build the STEP compilation a few times, STEP:Extended and now SR:LE (https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition)
I've always ran into issues but in the end you learn from that. From these issues I honestly don't even have an idea where to start Googling.
 
I performed a clean install of Skyrim. Cleaned the masters (no, not the skyrim.esm and yes, Dawnguard twice), optimized the Vanilla textures (also Falskaar and Wyrmstooth) configured all the tools and started the downloading. 
I installed all the mods following the guide, ran BOSS (with an userlist configured as explained in the guide), built a bashed patch, built FNIS behavior, ran SUM (for ASIS and DSR).
All without errors. Although on launching the game something wasn't quite right.
 
The game fully launched, I got to the menu, started a clean game. Then I got a little concerned. Whereas I normally got an Alduin interactive image (I'm sorry I don't know the right terms), I now simply got a black screen with the level progress bar (screenshot1). I thought first Alternate Start: Live Another Life did this so I didn't think as much of it. 
 
Upon entering the game though I saw that close to every texture was missing (screenshot2). At first the character creation menu was working, but I could see none of my edits (screenshot3).
The mods do load, I can configure the MCM menu's. Using the flames spell (and maybe a little magicka cheat) I was able to identify the outlines of the room. Using another laptop of mine I googled some of the AS:LAL images to navigate through my room hoping that these issues would fade. I activated the Mara statue and chose my past. When I reached the bed and tried to interact with it however, the game crashed to desktop.

I run my modded Skyrim on a Dell Inspirion 17 7737
CPU: Intel Core i7-4500U 1.8 GHz 
GPU: GTX 750m
RAM: 16 GB (2400 mhz)
HDD: 1 TB (5400 rpm)
(with a 250 gb partition for steam, games and modding)
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
display: 1080x1920
 
However my GPU is not the top of the market. It certainly doesn't suffer very hard on an (ultra?)modded Skyrim.
I never CTD'd because of slow VRAM, only the 3.1 memory limit (and load order, corrupt mods, bad patches/practice).

Since you are using SMAA, you have to set iMultisample=0 in your skyrimprefs.ini.

I remember having horrible visual oddities when I forgot to to that

And the black loading screen from screenshot 1 is normal. It's indeed caused by Alternate Start

You have game multisampling enabled still. Change iMultiSample to 0.

Edit2: If you have driver aa set also make sure to disable as well.

Well make sure you follow this it ought to help with the CTDs maybe. As for the textures if you're still having the issues once you're not experiencing the CTDs then redownload the texture mods. OR are you saying the others suggestions fixed both issues? I would still recommend making sure your memory patch from SKSE is working via that link I gave.

It's in the install skyrim portion of SRLE configuring the launcher to generate inis. :)

I did generate en edit the inis according to the guide. Never came across this setting. My bad I guess..

As far as the CTDs go, I still crash once I activate the bed.

 

I'll troubleshoot a little more with the thread...

I added the -forcesteam argument but I'm still getting CTD.

 

I tried to load one of the configured (with the MCM menus configured) saves I made which resulted in an instant CTD.

I started a new game without configuring any of the MCM menus but I still crash when trying to activate the bed.

 

I googled around a little and the only thing suggested was that my version was an older one. But I literally downloaded it three days ago.

I'll remove the current AS:LAL and reinstall it, see if it's the culprit.

 

Any other suggestions are more than welcome. :)

 

EDIT: Download said that the file already existed.... 

I'm gonna try installing running it again, but now with my lucky socks :D

 

EDIT2: Nope, their luck must have been washed off :(

Did you ever find a solution to your CTDs? I've just finished installing SR:LE after formatting my computer, and I also get a CTD when leaving the cell, I've followed every step to the point and I'm at a loss on what is causing this.

      Hey gang, just finishing up a pretty big mod and would love to have some testers using the SRLE and SRLE Extended setups.  This mod is quite beefy, encompassing my other mods and a year of learning.  You'll need a strong graphics card and processor to make it run well, especially with ENB.  I know there are some unfinished things, like better worldspace setup, better/more NPCs, small quest or 2 to get the home, get disenchant font working, etc. etc.  Notice the many shadowcasting and timed lighting, new music, tons of unique assets, kind of a theme, but that's WIP as well...
       
      Should be comparable with any mod, just make sure to load the ESP and the assets after (below) any of my other mods to be safe.  You will find the boat to Dragonwind Isle on the Solitude Docks...there's also a map marker there to fast travel to the boat.
       
      Please try to break it, find bugs, suggest any viable improvements, and let me know you're thoughts.
