So i decided to combine step guide with perkus maximus, but after installing/reinstalling/deactivating possible conflicts/deactivating all mods except perma and game core/"trying (with my skill)" to clean .esn with tes5edit/setting right order from pama forums load order/setting only loot order i still getting one error. It seems like , after importing and patching, MO puts difference in "overwrite" folder, which is readonly. Then patch tries to export files from that folder, it stops, giving error at step 21/22 - validating length it called, error massage includes Files/tmp.esp or (null), which ends up overwrite folder, after exiting patcher. I tried making folder not readonly, MO doesnt allow that.
I have spent all day at that error, and now i dont even want to play skyrim.
By the way, if i launch patcher not by MO/but in mo mod folder, it cant find skyrim/dawnguard/hearthfire/dragonborn patch.
If i move patcher folder to main data folder, i getting similar error, but , if i remember right, it finds skyrim only.
If i create mod, that only contains failed patcher files, it creates that, but it cannot replace it with new ones.
After editing with t5edit, im getting massage that new files cant be renamed to their default values, and they staying in overwrite with *.esp.save.numbers* addition to the name.
Hey guys. Not sure whether to post this into the mod thread or here.
I've gotten my STEP Core installation running smoothly and added Perkus Maximus, Immersive Weapons & Armor, Frostfall, JaySus Swords - patch version and some other mods on top. The other mods not mentioned to not include items or lists relevant to the issue.
Before creating my bashed patch, and after installing and ordering everything else, I ran the Perkus Maximus patcher and got the dreaded null error. The patcher runs fine naked so it's not an issue with java or the patcher.
I'm not sure how to get it working. I've tried disabling all other mods and only enabling mods with relevant items and lists one after the other but I still get the error. At this point I'm not even sure disabling the mods in Mod Organizer really makes the patcher ignore them. Where does the patcher get its mod info?
Has anyone gotten Perkus Maximus working as intended for a STEP install and or knows how I can get the patcher to run?
EDIT: I've read that I should patch AFTER bash. Did that, still getting the error.
Also, would it help just adding ANY mod that doesn't have items or where the item category and stats don't matter to the blocklist? Or would unpatched leveled lists from those mods still result in a borked PerMa?
