I stumbled upon this mod called SkyDie - Prepare to Cry Edition by sagittarius22. It seems to be a mod that makes the game tough, like Requiem. However, while Requiem (like SkyRe) is very over-reaching in its changes, making compatibility patches a must. Skydie tries to change only core features and let people use other mods for perks/magic/combat mods.

A list of some of the changes:

No fast travel

Cannot change perk points without sleeping (to give you a reason to go to an inn)

Running tires you (less than sprinting though) This makes carriages more useful, or it makes your horse that much more valuable to you.

Unleveled enemies in places (from what I understand, it's not completely unleveled, but I'm not sure the extent yet).

Harder hits: death comes quicker to you or your enemies.

Heavy armor much heavier, but also more protective

Light armor are weak to arrows, but it doesn't weigh you down.

No health regen, less effective healing potions

Stamina affects damage; lower stamina => less damage

Magicka affects spell damage; lower magicka => less damage

These 3 changes mean you do not want to drag out battles...

This isn't really a STEP mod, but I think it would be worthwhile to consider for a STEP pack. I was thinking of going with Requiem, but I kind of like this approach for modularity. So it's a gameplay mechanics mod which can be combined with Magic Overhauls, Combat Overhauls, and Perk Overhauls (so people that want to use PerMa should be pleased). Has anyone else here looked into this mod? I'd love to hear some opinions and experiences with it.
