rootsrat
https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37554 This was just uploaded to Nexus. Absolutely brilliant idea IMHO. This mod introduces a shipping/delivery service to Skyrim in a realistic and immersive way. There are 3 kinds of services: 1) Carriage Storage - attached to carriages 2) Home Delivery - located in each vanilla home for sale 3) Merchant Shipping - located in each General Goods store In short: it is basically a cloud storage. You pay money to access the storage and put your items in there. When you want to retrieve your items, you need to pay "tax" again to access your items. ::EDIT:: Following my feedback, the author uploaded also lite versions: SkyEx Lite Carriages and Houses NO Merchants - Otional Version SkyEx Lite Carriages and Houses NO Merchants SkyEx Lite Carriages ONLY - Optional Version SkyEx Lite Carriages ONLY SkyEx Lite No Shipping Centre - Optional Version Contains No Shipping Centre
torminater
So what's the point of this Mod? You don't carry all your loot all the Way back Home? Instead you Pay for it to Be accessible from any Store/House you may Want to go to? Or are your items only accesible from a Single Location which you determin before you Pay the Shipping? rootsrat
You still have to haul your loot back. There are 3 separate kind of crates - at home, at carriage and at the store. It's effectively a cloud storage. You pay to access it. 3 different chests to access at 3 different type of locations. Just a realistic and immersive way of providing cloud storage in Skyrim ;)
torminater
Not really realistic to me... If you needed to Order items and it took time for them to arrive, like a Day or 2, After you paid the Shipping fee plus the more the items weigh the higher the fee... Now that would Be realistic! rootsrat
Still, it's better than carrying around a magical chest with no weight limit I guess...
torminater
Only if you were Limited to Carry 50-75 weight units on Top of the gear you are wearing if wearing a backpack. If not, tough ... This would make a "packmule" Feature interesting As well As make followers necessary, and travelling in a caravan/cart group a viable Option. But since we're Talking about needing a Container with infinite capacity to stuff in the 200 weapons you looted, because you can only Carry: 20 Sets of armor, 15 weapons, a tent, Logs A trees worth, 100 fragile bottles with the most sensitive liquids and don't forget your stash of 500 flowers and Butterfly Wings plus a Collection of crafting Materials, soul gems and so much Gold that you'ld Need a Truck to Move At once... Let's don't take the Realism aspect Too far, shall we? ;-) Still, with Loads of Other Realism mods included wich would take Care of the issues i referred to, this Mod would Be a Nice-to-have Feature! Asimov
Drat at first I got all excited. Thought it added a horse/cart like they had back in Daggerfall. I miss my cart :(
