Guest Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I love this new synth stuff now. My head is constantly filled with 80's-movie-sounding music; I think it's a nice take on the classics. Edited September 4, 2015 by Guest
n0mad23 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Here's a little sonic offering from yours truly - Fun with Ableton, a MIDI keyboard, a microphone and a house full of drums. Guest Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Needs flash? Well that's me done for until I get on a PC as it's late here. Who's the guy with the cutlass?
Harpalus Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) Needs flash?Speaking of needing flash, I've been listening to a lot of Homestuck music recently. (If you're new to the comic, there is music -- eventually. It takes a while). Some samples (heavy spoilers, if you watch the videos): [1] [2]. The Pandora Hearts soundtrack has some . n0mad23 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 C'est moi with the cutlass. Yup, I'm a "gray beard."
Guest Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I thought I recognized you from back in the day: I'll check the links out from this page when possible and tell you guys my thoughts. Really the topic should be to rate peoples music as it would be more active. Can we change it to that mods? Edited September 4, 2015 by Guest

That was the best suggestion in this whole thread actually :) This is my favorite song the last couple of days:

n0mad23 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Glad this got bumped, as I didn't know about the thread. There's some really good stuff posted here!
JawZ Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I just love how this film was done, concert portraying classical music ends up shocking the audience with a AC/DC - Thunderstruck cover :) I do like real classical music as well but this is a very nice use of typical classical music instruments One drummer and the rest is just voices, and some computer editing. Love the innovative and new way of thinking on how to create music done by this band and other bands like them. Youtube embedding;(youtube)youtubelink(/youtube) -- Replace () with [] Thanks for posting the link to Gunship band SparrowPrince, really kicks the gears into 80's vibes and nostalgia :) Edited September 4, 2015 by JawZ

"Dancing with the Carnival Rebellion" https://soundcloud.com/n0mad23/dancing-with-the-carnivalI wouldn't say it's my kind of music, but I do like the drum beat. Very lively. That was the best suggestion in this whole thread actually :) This is my favorite song the last couple of days:Lol really? Wow. Sounds like a jorney of some sort. Actually a bit melancholic, but I don't mind that! videoIt's like one of my Japanese animes!... At a 90's rave party. Best stuff for activating the brains in the morning.I should have known! I used to like this, but I changed direction a lot to every genre. DethMetal is quite depressing to me now. I actually don't like Gunship, but that remix is just so much better than the original it hurts. That music made me laugh. There body actions are really crazy. Right then I will post this: Not as good as the other one in my opinion, but still quite nice. Edited September 4, 2015 by Guest
JawZ Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Well i like it and so did my father, one who really still lives in the 80's on the weekends when he is remising in the workshop.
CovertSlinky Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 I stumbled upon this sometime ago and loved it. 331Erock has done many game related covers, including DOOM and Final Fantasy VII, but I love this Zelda cover.
Guest Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 You both have good taste Jawz. That metal guy is quite skilled and I know he's been going a few years now. The best thing is just watching his facial expressions and fingers.
