hi, i found a problem in my game recently when in the snow areas, im not sure if this is the lod or shadow problem but its rendering slow, i have to walk up close for it to render to normal texture. the problem is still here after turning off my ENB, dyndolod , terrain lod redone, hd lod and every mods i had on(186 mods). this is only happening in the areas where there is snow i haven't seen this problem anywhere else please help.

Test if it's LOD by using the tll console command to toggle LOD off/on from a position where you can see this issue.

Moved to DynDOLOD/xLODGen support.

Use MIC to identify the problem meshes and get a screenshot of the MIC output, and also read the DynDOLOD OP for logs needed.

Sorry im abit new to modding and i dont know how to use MIC to identify meshes, i have downloaded more informative console.

MIC allows clicking on anything with the pointer while in the console, which can be further explored using other keys. See the Nexus Description for details.

Also see the DynDOLOD Support page for tips, troubleshooting, and possible fixes.

Based on the provided screenshots, the terrain LOD textures are and/or the noise texture are wrong. See https://dyndolod.info/Help/xLODGen

thank you for the reply, i have read the guide you provided me and was able to find the problem which was the option "snow shader" in the launch window, the dyndolod page said to uncheck that option so I'm wondering does everyone who use XLODgen or dyndolod have to disable this "snow shader" option?

Don't use the 'improved' snow shader in SSE. It's bugged or otherwise "not good". It should never be enabled.

Optionally use BethINI to get your game configuration files in order.

so how it seems i still have this problem of darkened area not loading in but not just in the snow area

the snow shader made it look lighter but this problem is still here, any way to fix this issue?

See sheson's last post.

Fix your terrain mods or follow a mod-build guide to get a good starting baseline.
