BigBaba Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Followed the guide up until the recommended smoke test. Booted up the game, started it fine and the cutscene went without any issues. Then tried to COC into Riverwood but ended up back in the cart, stuck in place. guessing this is an easy fix, but turning off the mods and going back through tthe previous steps hasn't given any results. Is there a fix for this?
z929669 Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 I've never COC'd to Riverwood in the smoke test, so I can't vouch for that piece, but you could try coc WhiterunBreezeHome or coc whiterun. I've always just made sure the game will load and check the SKSE lots logs (crashlog if you are crashing): %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE If the game loads without crashing, then I think you are good to go. Downstream mods and processing will cure it, I would venture.
Mousetick Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 (edited) You're supposed to COC into Riverwood from the game's main menu. Don't start a new game. Or you can start a new game, but don't COC until you have completed the character creation and the main quest has started. Otherwise the game keeps running the intro scene. Edit: But at that point in Helgen you've already completed the smoke test, COC'ing to Riverwood would be superfluous, so you can skip that. Edited November 21, 2023 by Mousetick 3
k-f Posted May 11 Posted May 11 For me "coc riverwood" also didn't work from the main menu - I got a prompt to start a new game (where I couldn't actually click anything). But "coc whiterun" works just fine.
