tsmit657 Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Would like to add this mod to my mod list but very new to this and before I do wanted to know if anyones attempted this with current STEP guide, I'm up to 10-Gameplay-General in the guide as I figured the previous mods wouldn't create issues, if no ones done this ill finished the guide and add this mod in and ask for help on this post if needed cheers!
Mousetick Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 You need to finish the guide successfully to completion before attempting to add other mods. You need to run and play the game a bit with the STEP mod list and nothing else. If you're new to modding, I wouldn't recommend using a mod like MLU. It changes a lot of stuff deep into the game. If you don't know how to use xEdit or know what leveled lists are, you won't be able to tell if MLU is integrated correctly or if it works correctly. You'll probably need to find and install lots of compatibility patches too. If you really really want to play with MLU, I'd suggest finding a mod list or guide that is specifically designed and built with MLU at its core. A simpler and less intrusive loot and leveling mod is Open World Loot. It's inherently more compatible with vanilla+ type games and requires less tinkering. I'm using it in my mod list based on STEP. But I still wouldn't recommend it if you're new to modding 1
tsmit657 Posted December 27, 2022 Author Posted December 27, 2022 Thanks for the reply! I can see the sense of what your saying, ill finish the guide first, get it running then go from there. 1
duy123a Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 I have used it with STEP, it required a massive conflict patch. If you want, I can send my own patch for you.
z929669 Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 MorrowLoot Ultimate is an excellent concept, IMO. It makes the game so much more enjoyable and addictive (like an RPG should be). For my personal build, I also prefer ultra realism granted by mods like Requiem. I haven't touched that mod for a long while (still waiting to perfect Step SSE), so I don't know if that mod makes similar changes to de-level and 'mystery-orize' powerful loot and equipment as was done in Morrowind and RPGs of old (before new-age 'entitlement' loot became popular ... Destiny 2 is a great example of this sad trend). "New-schoolers" want to hurry through and 'beat' as many games as possible as quickly as possible these days, getting all the buffs and bragging rights inherently just by playing ... no thank you very much.
tsmit657 Posted December 29, 2022 Author Posted December 29, 2022 Yeah my idea was to adjust the STEP guide a little by using morrowloot or a mod like it to make it more a hardcore rpg, open world loot looks close if it more compatable with STEP also I know there's a modular version of morrowloot were you can dowload specific features if that would work better? btw guys im getting a little ahead of myself because I've run into trouble getting the guide to work, can I be helped here or should I start a new topic?

If it's not related to Morrowloot Ultimate, I suggest creating a new post in Step Skyrim SE Guide.
