DynDOLOD 3.00 Alpha 182

It did seem to keep gradually growing over time, especially with the Tamriel world space, though I do feel like it spiked a bit with the Beyond Reach worldspaces.

I don’t really want to try with -memory yet, I’m concerned that the repeated runs, especially when they cause such extreme memory spikes that I end up with an 85GB paging file, are putting a lot of wear on my SSD.

Alpha 15 uses -memory by default. Instead use -speed to save a a minute or two for large worldspaces.

The peak memory usage while the Occlusion generation reads all the object LOD meshes in several threads seems normal, especially if the BTO are really large because of grass LOD. To counter this I added a limitation to the number of concurrent threads, which usually defaults to number of cores.

If the peak usage is still too high while reading object LOD, lower OcclusionMaxThreadsObjectLOD in ..\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\DynDOLOD_SSE.ini

Here's TexGen_SSE.log:

Here's TexGen_SSE_debug.log:

Do you need everything from bugreport.txt? There's tons of info about the PC itself like user name, registered owner, computer name, hardware, processes running, basically everything from the device manager, etc etc. Feels a bit odd sharing all of that lol. Is this part enough? https://pastebin.pl/view/28be09f9

The bugreport is enough that way.

But instead of uploading the logs from TexGen you should upload the logs from DynDOLOD.

Sorry, I took the 1st post too literally lol. Pastebin seems to be down, so here are the files from a different site:

I have a question about coloring the lod grass. How would I make the grass more brown and darker, the DynDOLOD_SSE.ini grass brightness color values are confusing to me. Any way to visualize the color with an online color picker?9MSLjpY

Image of lod grass: https://imgur.com/a/9MSLjpY

I'm using northern grass

The values are 0.0 to 1.0 = 0 to 100%. So 0.5 means the resulting color value is 50% of the input. The current values are based around the vanilla grass textures with a final tweaking for the billboards.

Are you using an ENB or have weather mods?

That explains it, thank you.

I'm using rudy enb with obsidian weathers. Here's how the grass looks with only obsidian: https://imgur.com/a/igoEvID

Still looks a bit bright greenish without enb.

im using veydosebrom regions and getting this error when generating grass lod, please help

Error processing grass data Tamrielx0007y0000.cgid Unable to read beyond the end of the stream. System.IO.EndOfStreamException

Delete the file. Then load the game, open console and type "cow Tamriel 7 0" without quote to load into the cell. No Objects In Grass should then generate the file anew, which hopefully can then be read.

In case it still can not be read, upload it please.
