Returning to Skyrim

Hi all,

I'm returning to Skyrim after about 6-8 months, and was previously using STEP 0.3.0b. I was wondering:

1) Is upgrading to the latest STEP worth the effort? That is, are the changes significant enough to justify the time involved?
2) Is it possible to surgically modify my existing build, or is it best to just do a clean install?
3) If I do a clean install using the latest STEP, is it possible to use my existing saved games, or is it likely that my existing saves will become unusable after the upgrade?

I know there can be different "gotchas" with STEP changes, so any advice would be helpful.

It's very similar, so just be sure that if you are continuing with the 0.3.0b save game that you don't get rid of any mods having an ESL plugin ... I believe that you can switch to the ESP plugin in such situations and save again before removing the mod. Always save in an interior cell though.

I really haven't played the game for real in years though. I tend to just do the modding and play for testing purposes. We will have the 2.0.0 guide in a couple of months though, so you may want to wait for that. That one will probably require a new game though, since it will have many new (and improved) features.

Thanks for the reply. I can wait a couple of months for the next iteration --- sounds like the right play. Looking forward to it!
