MO2 is giving me this error;

You have one or more script extender plugins which failed to load!

If you want this notification to go away, here are some steps you can take:
  • Look for updates to the mod or the specific plugin included in the mod.
  • Disable the mod containing the plugin.
  • Hide or delete the plugin from the mod.

To refresh the script extender logs, you will need to run the game and/or editor again!

The failed plugins are:
  • OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue_OLD version 0 (OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll, MenuQue - OBSE Plugin) reported as incompatible during query.

I installed the most recent version I could see available, v16b.  Not sure what gives.  I'm certain OBSE is installed correctly and working, and my MenuQue log seems to indicate everything is groovy? (a million thank-you's to the MO2 developers.  Wouldn't be considering modding Oblivion without that force-load workaround)

That is good, another question. Is Mo2 installed in a directory not controlled by Windows UAC and out of the games directory?

Edit. When you set up the "Forced Load Libraries" did you put a check into the check box? It is easy to overlook.

Edit 2. Did you download the obse_loader.zip and overwrite the one that comes with the main archive?

Yeah, MO2 is not in the games directory and not controlled by UAC

Box is definitely checked

... Didn't replace the .exe from 'latest loader' package on the OBSE site.  I have now... it was my understanding that loader wasn't used anymore unless dealing with CS?

Well it was worth a try. From the limited search I have done it appears this has been going on for some time, so I don't think there is a solution out there. You can try asking on the MO2 Discord forums #issue-reports.

I did see a post on Nexus about it, just most of the information there appealed highly ambivalent.  Submitted an error report on the Discord, I'll post back here if I learn anything.  Thanks for taking the time GSD!

You haven't done anything wrong. This is a thing with MenuQue, not Mod Organizer, MO just catches it and tells you. Basically, MenuQue includes two files, MenuQue.dll, which contains the plugin "OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue" and OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll, which contains "OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue_OLD", the latter of which is incompatible and causes the error.

Why is it included? No idea. Is it necessary? Also no idea. Maybe? The new plugin might access it somehow, but I have no clue. I do know that it doesn't cause any issues with the game, though. OBSE sees that it's incompatible, writes that to the log and then ignores it, so no harm done.

Well, I was going to edit my last post to provide a final explanation for this, but I guess not, so here's a double post I suppose.

OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue.dll is actually just a dummy file added in v15 because of users not properly uninstalling older versions that used a different naming scheme. The file's only purpose is to replace really old installs, and it's safe to delete. The info was in the readme all along, lol.

v15

* Minor changes to layout of source files and docs.
* Now includes a dummy dll with the old filename (OBSE_Kyoma_MenuQue) to ensure the old dll doesn't accidentally get loaded.
