Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Question: is extracting every .bsa neccesary? Can't we just extract the ones were we want to put our hands on the files, like for optimization or to hide files?

No its not, however it makes life a whole lot easier dealing with any future issues you might encounter (i.e. hiding files at will, optimization, merging scripts, etc.) so I always recommend it.

Hi Neo,

Referring to the "Vivid Snow" part of the guide; you recommend not to overwrite the mteFunctions.pas with the one form Vivid Snow.

I have the feeling that Vivid Snow's one is the most recent; therefore it should replace whatever version is in the Edit Scripts folder.

Got the latest one from mator's GitHub (which the last time it was updated/modified was on July 14th), compared the 2 scripts and found out that hishutup's version contains 5 more functions.

So, I think vivid's version should prevail.

Thanks mate! :)

EDIT: Unless ofc these functions were initially removed and actually hishutup's mteFunction.pas is an older version of what is currently in mator's GitHub. But really I do not think that this is the case.

I had no errors running the version that was on Mator's Github (which should technically be the latest)... unless Mator has not been updating his repository.

Currently its the same as what it on github, but I can almost say that you can use any version because the only function that I use is StrEndsWith() which I think has been around for quite some time.

I could even remove the requirement by adding the function into the code.

Hi Neo & hishutup,

I had no errors either...just mentioned it as these two versions are not identical. If compared, there are 5 functions in hishutup's version [namely: TimeStr(), FileDateTimeStr(), GetAuthor(), SetAuthor(), FileByAuthor() ], that are not present in latest mator's version (unless the version, as u said, he has on Github is not the latest published).

These functions are not used in hishutup's script; so no harm done. Just wondering which one is the latest though...perhaps mator can shed some light here!

@hishutup...perhaps it will be better to add this function into the code; I have the feeling that not needing (and thus not providing) mteFunction.pas will create a lot less of unnecessary questions.

Thanks guys! :)

just updated vivid snow to 1.51 and i've a couple a questions..on nexus it says to load all the plugins in tes5, but in the guide it says to load all the plugins prior to vivid snow.esp (mine's in position 61 in MO)..so it's okay not to load anything after it?also should i run again other patchers ? what about Skyrim-Mapweatherfix.esp..can i merge it to vivid snow.esp like in 1.01 version?
