Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Hello Neo, small question since I read in an earlier post you appreciate Gamwiches textures,

I was wondering (since I haven't been able to compare sorry) why you haven't opted for Gamwiches Ethereal Cosmos over Enhanced Night Skyrim,

Gamwich does have CoT versions. I went with Ethereal Cosmos combined with his Ethereal Auroras. One of the few exceptions I decided while following SR-LE.

Also thank you very much for taking the time to check my post with TES5Edits, happy to hear I learned well enough (despite a few mistakes ^^) from following your guide.

I must admit that I also deviated.

I use lorkhans v2 for the stars.. since imo it is the most superior one around.. right amount of density without going overboard. And one of the galaxy´s from etheral cosmos... since I find those to be of the highest quality while maintaining a fantasy feel. Also they are fairly easy to tweak ENB´s for. No super saturation, or no saturation... just the right amount.

My problem with ethereal cosmos stars is that they try to mimic effects that need to be dynamic to work, when put on a static canvas it just looks wrong after a while.

And ofc. no night list is complete without moon glow! That mod is just too epic!

Took the opportunity to run some screenshots in my game.

I think ENS provides the best stars, I prefer the lower stars package the best, and have found the rest twinkle and sparkle a bit too much.  If you're looking for a new galaxy you might want to check out EWI's.  He has a few which are just a deep blue and look really good if you're like me and the others are just way too colorful for you, especially with the auroras glowing.  There's also one packaged with Pure Weathers that is just a spiral galaxy.  It's small, quiet, and looks great in the night sky.

Thank you so much Neo for the comparison screenshots, Starkey also thank you for the feedback concerning the too much twinkling and sparkling.

Currently solely based on the screenshots I am downloading ENS and will 'start' out with the 'ENS + Ethereal Cosmos Galaxy/Constellation'

Start is a big word because I patiently await for Neo to some day say that the guide is all good and finished, got enough to keep me busy in the meantime :)

I was curious about it and saw that it "might" help with microstuttering so I thought I'd give it a try.  First time it was borderless full screen but the resolution was native 2560x1440 instead of the 1920x1080 I have set in my inis.  I tried changing it in the onetweak.ini ( though the lack of documentation and unorganized ini makes me wonder if I'm doing it right ) and now it's not fullscreen, though it is borderless.  Anyone have any idea how to get the window full screen while not actually running the game full screen?  I'm skeptical it's going to run smoother but, hey, it's skyrim so anything is possible.

Well I consider it a must install simply because it does away with a number of other mods, but yeah I guess my statement was over-the-top. YMMV.

As to SLI, I am on a laptop so I never have to face that issue, when/if I upgrade I will evaluate its worth.

I also love SKSE plugins so maybe I was sucked in to install it simply because of that?  ::D:

iNeed has changed but the changes look significant and mention temporary patches.

Changes are significant... especially the diseases portion. Quite hardcore imo. For the moment I've left Dangerous Diseases ticked in MCM but not used the optional esp. I *think* what this means is i still get more dangerous disease but an altar will still heal me.
