Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

By the way the Chargen Morphs.esp is empty.

Yeah, but it's still necessary otherwise the corresponding files won't get loaded. (Although I did get around that by renaming the folder named "Chargen Morphs.esp" to RaceMenu.esp" so it would load with that instead :P )

Two questions:

1) The guide says to not install the readme for falskaar, I couldn't find the "data" panel to click, so that I could uncheck the box next to the readme. So after installation I double clicked the mod, went to filetree and deleted the readme. Is that fine?

2) I DDSopt'ed the falskaar main file into a new one "falskaar optimized". Are they both supposed to be activated?

checkmark falskaar

checkmark falskaar optimized

Amazing guide, it may take me a week at slowly trudging through it, i'm so afraid of messing up and not knowing where I messed up at.

I found the answer to #1. After you download a mod in MO, double click in the right pane, you can name the mod, click "Manual" that's where the option to uncheck things are. :)

When I click shift-enter during game, and the enb editor thing comes up, what are some of the settings I can turn off to increase performance. If I turn off bloom, enhanced shadows, DoF I can get 40 fps indoors.

1) Are there other things I can turn off? I am using Unreal Cinema.

2) Also, I am getting a very grainy look, that I don't think is intentional. Any ideas there?

First, I wouldn't recommend that you turn off Bloom because it's just not Unreal without it. Enhanced Shadows is a pretty amazing module too but it's not as crucial as bloom.

Secondo, Try turning off AmbientOcclusion and Skylightning. For Skylightning you might only able to do this within the enbseries.ini, though.

You can also try to uncheck ShadowCasterFix under the Shadow Tabs, I had major FPS loss with it on while having iShadowMapResolution set to 4096. Also make sure your iShadowMapResolution is set to 2048, 1024 or 512 in skyrimprefs.ini because that eat a lot of FPS.

Disableing the Rain module is another great way of getting additional FPS, but that's only for when it's raining.

For the grainy look, on the right panel (if there is no right panel check Show Weather Panel or something like that) look for the FilmGrain option. It should be in the first options under the first tab (enbeffect I think it is?)

If you don't like the black bar uncheck Letterbox.

I have an interesting finding which I'd like to report here. I do use the SR:LE guide but I use it with my own tweaks:

I'm not using Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, Climates of Tamriel (plus patches) and Enhanced Lighting and FX.

I am using Opethfeldt 7 beta 3 ENB instead (with his ENB ini settings).

I have modded up to the mod Webs Extended.

Once I walk around (in Riverwood) with the modded Skyrim, I tend to get a CTD when I walk towards and look up to Hilde (the grandma) when she's on her tanning rack. But this only seems to happen when I have Vivid Landscapes - All in One installed with Moss Rocks compatibility patch. If I install Vivid Landscapes without the Moss Rocks compatibility patch, the CTD does not occur. I found this pretty strange since it's basically just a texture based mod.

There was a mesh error in the VL Moss Rocks patch the author fixed that was causing ctd. Try redownloading.
