I don't even know if I have the files :/ I looked everywhere for that missing tree billboard which appeared in the DynDOLOD log, and I just couldn't find it. Not even in the original megapatch archive, but strangely enough I get the LODs when I move the megapatch below DyndoLOD output.

 

So it MUST be in there somewhere, but it might not be what I am looking for, I really don't get it xD. Anyway, can you do me a favor and search for gkbtreeaspen04 or gkbaspen4tree billboards in your relinker folder real quick? I'd appreciate it. I think that is the only tree which is causing problems. The rest are just bushes or grass objects.

can i ask what version of Relinker are you actually using?

No gkbtreeaspen04 or gkbaspen4tree here.

Hmm.. Then the last thing I'd test if you can be bothered is, going in-game, and then opening up console, typing coc whiterun, and looking to your left. There should be some trees on the plains of whiterun, but you should see some big aspen trees among them. If you don't, try getting closer there and they should pop up. Or just take a picture when you look left and post here so I can see. Thanks in advance!

@Jailhoseblues can I ask what happens if you drop the trees and flora merge all together and regenerate dyndolod?

You mean disabling the merged plugin on the left pane and rebuilding DynDOLOD? I'll give it a try.

 

Edit: I think I might have figured out what the problem is. Which is completely my fault. I might have used the Caribou Gone and Tamriel Reloaded esps from THEIR folders instead of the ones included in the Trees Megapatch for the merge. I am not sure though as I don't remember. I will test and report back.

Oh, so it appeared out of nowhere for you too then? I guess the problem isn't just on my end?

Nope, I got this too.

 

Orange aspens and brown trees without lods.

 

Others under the name vurt_aspen1 too with other IDs.

So I regenerated DynDOLOD without merging the plugins, and bam, it works just fine! Everything appears to be in order. I will now try merging the plugin while making sure that I use the esps for TR Trees and Caribou Gone provided in the Trees Megapatch and rebuilding DynDOLOD.

OK thanks so the issue is indeed the New Tree and Flora Merge I will have to talk to the testing team about it.

 

Edit: OK I will await the conclusion on your new test before I make an executive decision.

 

also as you're on it one more thing you could test for me is to copy the general asset in Merge Plugins (which we don't currently do for this merge)

How does this combination blend with Noble Skyrim textures as the primary texture overhaul?

I think it works well together but I really like the depth parallax terrain adds and couldn't play without it.  

 

I can't imagine that UG adds any more assets since Verdant started using that as a base and already covers way more of Skyrim than it should with a huge set of grasses and plants.  If it does I'm sure it's not a consequential amount.  Right now I see 4 mods for grasses alone and several for trees, including two different versions of SFO.
