  1. Ya bethini - need to put a reference for disabling ambient occlusion and only using it through enb
  2. @aeradom The 2nd half of my response contained There is a space in fallout and 4 (just remember the location you have chosen is not recommended and having spaces in a file path "can" cause issues in some situations. And the command line I linked has inverted commas to show how to include a file path with spaces in it. (I think this pic will be a running joke for a while)
  3. @GrantSP As a side note if you look at the 13 vsf commits since release they seem to attend this issue, I'm hoping for a 2.0.7c so I can remove the wiki install procedure and then the rest can be just left for posterity. But lately I've been doing a Mod guide with it...... No massive feedback so unsure if I should keep going with it....
  4. @GrantSP If you change the Base directory in the Path Fied in the MO2 Settings or any of the other directories in there You will have issues. The Aplication MO2 is Happy if you change it and you can see all your stuff etc (appart from 1st run default folder creation), But The issue that the MKlink is there for is that usvfs_x64.dll is unaware that you have made the change and still uses the default setting and creates it's virtual folder structure from the user folder. @aeradom C:\Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\ModOrganizer2\ModOrganizer2Data 1st Move the folder out of the FO4 install path usvfs will have a brain fart if you run it like that. sooo like C:\Games\ModOrganizer2\ModOrganizer2Data mklink /J C:\Users\Damian\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer C:\Games\ModOrganizer2\ModOrganizer2Data Dosent exist eh.....If you don't wanna do the above and risk it then mklink /J C:\Users\Damian\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer "C:\Games\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\ModOrganizer2\ModOrganizer2Data" there is a space in fallout and 4 (just remember the location you have chosen is not recommended and having spaces in a filepath "can" cause issues in some situations. Also a good Idea to name Profiles "this_is_my_Profile" (more of a best practice rather then an issue I've seen)
  5. @Nsamuri ?????? copy paste but why???? Cough https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10737/? cough I'll make a more clearer note about other modmanagers the joy of MO2 OH as a note I just have not add new caliber yet, once that's done the wiki will be fully compatable with weaponsmith (with weapon list patch)
  6. @Nsamuri without MO2 delete c:\users\%USERNAME%\appdata\fallout4 start FO4 via steam close fo4 start mo2 Check on the main menu is your addons are in the mainmenu mods loadorder is there anythin in there at all (LOOK at IT) it may show mods you are not loading through MO2 and indicate you have installed them in some other way
  7. !!!COMING SOON!!! TODO List Add VIS patch for Holotapes Combine all ammo crafting benches into a single bench with sub menus Vivid has brought out a Landscape patch(good times) - review all Landscape selection and choose new pack order for a more homogeneous look. Find a PA Overhaul
  8. Glitch in the Matrix Neo is comming
  9. Ahh ambient Occlusion yea well that's why I asked if the "in game light flickers in interiors" was one of the 1st questions I asked as if you get that issue all lighting in the game goes funkey...enb can cause it and the Nvidia config fixes the "driver issue" and the Ambient Occlusion is not restricted to HBAO+ issues rather (with Nvidia) games settings in the Launcher do not 100% control/change "managed by game" in the Nvidia control pannel settings.
  10. @Nsamurai Looked at the bash link that is an update for the skyrim one the FO4 subfork has no activity I'd say they are gearing up for the new Skyrim. They Do include BA2 support, I'll have a deeper look into it later
  11. @Nsamurai Wyre Bash - No such thing FO4Edit can do weapon Bash Patch (I have to check every line to make it how I like though as with the weapon mods I listed there a 6-8 mods conflict with Armor Keywords.) Are you trying to determine load order? or Patch Mods that are not in the list? (I through up the list initially as an example, people wanted to use it for play through so I've just updated Settlement mods to be stable and full menu control Fixed up the Sorting mods (will release a XML shortly to put important stuff to the top) Just installed 6 Weapon overhauls and building a Patch to make them all work with AK,workbench and AWKCR.(mostly done just play testing) ) Basic load order of your own personal mod list -Run loot Update list close and reopen MO (RESTART MO every time you run an external application to reduce chance of oddd stuff happening(Crashes when FO4edit makes 2 patches in a row)) - Run FO4Edit if it crashes from load order adjust load order from FO4Edit error page (F04Edit>LOOT) -When FO4Edit runs then you can apply filter and look for errors BUUUTTTT what are you looking for? weapon merge list? Creature Leveled List? UI issues? Crafting? House mod etcetc The approach is the same for each all I can say is youtube has lots to say on the topic of TES5Edit and filters and leveled list etc, in the Wiki I link 2 Vids. That's a Start, Otherwise you have to list specific issue and modlist then I Could Produce a "Guide" or "Howto" as a basic example.... (ONLY 1 Issue please as it's time consuming)
  12. @Aeradom Yep Bashed(merged in this case) patches are a thing but it's ONLY for weapons and it's a bit "explodey" soo you have a vanilla game(no mods) and white hair? (well ENB + F4SE + Cleaned Master Files) Cleaned Master Files???? no such thing as far as I'm aware. and certainly not with an ALPHA of the TES5Edit. unless the authors say so. F4SE cool ENB hmmmm only use the 2 dll files and let it generate new ini's (DONT'T use FXShader) at leas until you know how well your computer performs. If you don't have a clean FO4 folder then delete and reinstall FO4. Looks like a corrupt hair texture if you are using mods then I'd make sure the bUseCombinedObjects=0 is in custom When you rotate your mouse do the interior lights flick on and off? then disable ENB to see if that's the issue and if you are using NVIDIA make sure you have the options set correctly in it's control panel as per the guide.
  13. Soooo, things seem a little squishy I seem to be a steamroller in verrry brittle power Armour. I added a couple of weapon mods and balance I'll see how it goes (most of them are old like me so if the ballance is good I'll drop a patch) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3082/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8276/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9057/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4042/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12986/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6434/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12363/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2463/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9476/? And I added a weapon https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9567/? Anything better then these (not looking for 1shot 1kill) and Power armor overhaul.....
  14. Testing https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2500/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11853/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9103/? base note: D.E.C.A.Y - Better Ghouls interferes with functional displays and VIS even with patch - load above VIS Raider Overhaul WIP with ae patch interferes with adding extra enhancement to items. Extra patch required. Super Mutant Redux - minor issues with AK,VIS and Vivid Extra Patch required
  15. Oh and 1 more thing the WHOLE reason for BA2 is it's a "streaming" archive that sends the mip maps to the game not load all the maps in the graphic memory (in my understanding and texture loading time seem to verify this) if you want to "Optimize" your textures, compress them and that will "boost" your "Awesomeness" with "Optimization".......
  16. I've not read any mod that works in 8196 and then scales down for min artifact (if there is I wanna know!!! they would be AWESOME!!!!!!!)
  17. ????? mmmmmm I have a "proper" 16:10 24" 1920x1200 monitor it's capable of 94dpi. Game textures are 72dpi soo a 2k texture will fill the entire width of my screen at it's max resolution. should be good right? Objects work in this way - their mipmap starts at 0 ie 2k then shows a smaller one the further you are from it) look at the ground does that look like 2k? google "ground texture 2k" and look at the pics does it look like that? No?.... landscape "seems" to start at mip level 1 soo a 2k is seen as 1k so half my screen wrapped map textures i.e. potholes in the road seem to start at min level 4 so either 512 or 256 The point (unless somebody works it out) is you have a higher texture to get an OK pic on the screen. With objects (items) in the game you only "See" 4k if your face is plastered to it so you normally see 2,1,512 depending on your distance. SO in a nutshell 2k for a big screen (1920x whatever or bigger) and 1k map and spec is good enough for a small screen (1440 or less) 1k is heaps. If you have a UHD 4k then turn on multi-sample up-scaling and play at a lower res because unless they are machine made rendered textures or someone uses a UHD Camera to take photos they are 2k-3k stretched or worse. (If anyone is using a 4k photo texure in any mod tell me I'd like to see it awsomeness.) (Machine made 4k is a hand painted 4k tile in a graphic program)
  18. Optimized textures from those packs are "basically" reducing the texture to 512x512 (some of those mods do change the bump map or spec a little) All the "Big" textures are landscape ones. "optimize" is a misnomer, your associating it to "awesomeness" if you have integrated graphics then you want the smallest textures to stop using all your texture memory if you have a 3+Gig video card texture size (with enb) it does not matter to much. (UNLESS you 5000 4k fridges in a room) As a test you can start a vanilla game with enb hit "*" it will give you fps (i get about 54fps with a GTX580 a 960 equiv) i do not see any speed performance other than mipmap related ones (textures poping into focus) with a compressed texture pack. Visually there is little difference (as Most NOT all textures are POTATO) other then having less mip level so further away objects will be blurry. Highly recommended for shared memory video cards and 1gb or less My game uses 68Gig of mods and I run 32Fps with mostly 4k textures.
  19. Overhauls i.e. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12511/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11853/? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2500/? As we do not have BOSS any more (FO4Edit have a basic Merged Patch Function 2months ago is was OKish) I'll have to do a leveled/Item list especially if you add miniute men into the mix. So yea I can/will add Overhauls but they will only be the ones "I" like and they will have to enhance the vanilla game and Add to the "Immersion" So I'll throw up a basic list of those and you can (or anyone else)can have a scrounge and see if there is something else exceptional out there. Also Weapons/Crafting addons: I've not really looked into them if there are ones that have a realistic look or add amazing crafting utility please tell me and I'll review.
  20. 1) yea I noticed It's just a lod replacement for distance views was giving it a chance to come back online. 2) hmm, Texture Optimization Project(TMP) IMO should be done 1st but can be done at any time it would require some thinking as you "REALLY" need to backup your fallout 4\data\*textures.BA2 and rebuild an optimized set (with Archiver2 from the Creation Kit) then replace the original files. I'm still chasing down a programmer to help me out to make up a script for mo2. Once done it will automate the Process I do by hand. Textures and Performance:- 80% of the landscape textures in game are 2048x2048 trees, critters, odds and ends are 1024x1025 or 512x512. - The point IMO of the TMP is if you have a low end PC and can't do 30FPS then you need all the help you can get. Saving Vram is a good place to start - In this list/loadout is all about the pretty. IMO all the Bad(Blurry) 2k textures should be compressed to 1k or 512 if there are no HI def versions. Then all the textures in the list overwrite them anyway. Performance Hit you say.....Depends on the Video card and if you are running ENBBoost. Hi Polly meshes impact Rendering speed Textures are just photos that you look at. The only impact they can cause is from the specualr map (light reflection) But the engine itself is POTATO so I do not believe it's a concern. BUT if you install a Overhaul WIP that adds 10million polly mesh to a bloatfly then you will play at 1fps.(Unless you have a Master race computer) Also if you add Dynamic Shadows to all lights in game you will play with 1fps.(Unless you have a Master race computer) If you want to check how fast your computer is in game install https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10075/? with all light and shadow enabler and see how you go. If you can play at 60 FPS then install every mod on the Nexus. I get 1-3fps with a GTX580 (GTX960 equiv) 3) texture replacers - like in the TEXTURE LANDSCAPE list are all just overwriting Vanilla Files no issues. NX Pro Farming is for the food planters(Not the poo and compost) it's SKE compatible and lives in a sub menu so no issue. 4) Mods that are removed (taken down by moderators) I'll remove from the list, Ones hidden by mod authors (or people steeling their passworsd Cough Bejinn Wives) I think 2-3weeks is ok for them to be there I'll make a note at the top.
  21. there are a few issues, I'm slowly changeing the mods, there about 5 that I'm still testing. Yea there will be a patch for vis and a lighting one so I can have darker night vivid and 2 fog enhancers/removers. Had my 1st cdt after installing that new infinite settlement budget plugin will lookinto it tomorrow I have just been playing with the settlements and lights and shadows and reached the limit so just trying to find one that works for me and a broken save game hehehehe
  22. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11639/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D11639%26preview%3D&pUp=1 looks promising
  23. @Nsamurai LOOT and FO4Edit work (NOTE: Loot sucks for FO4 as not enough people upload priority orders to the central database so it's sort function is poor ATM, in time it will be awsome) to test that your installation is working open FO4edit go into a cell and make an overwrite mod, exit and save. Does it appear in the overwrite at the Bottom of MO2? can you right click the overwrite and create mod? If no then there is something still not right. "It says the other plugins are not enabled, but I can still sort them" this seems c:\users\%USERNAME%\appdata\local\fallout4 was not deleted and you have a modlist.txt in there and it's seeing the mods from NMM. the early version of NMM frigged with the files in that folder they need to be deleted and reset by running the vanilla launcher from steam.
  24. cell issue, fall through the earth running bug, CDT when building over "Cleaned" area. that sort of thing (READING their forums it says they have performed exhaustive tests so those issues don't occur) 1 in a million is still chance of occurring. Like my alternate settlements you can opt not to install it just as you can install any mod you choose. the STEP/Overhaul NEED to LISTEN is in 3 areas how to install MO2 {NOW} The settlements page as that is conflicting mod territory. VIS+DEF_UI (mx farming, weapn displays) conflicts DEF_UI + Armorsmith (swf conflict) AWK + Bettermod description (4 conflicts) I can put up a 500mod install but that would only be for my entertainment Nobody other than you has asked for anything specific. The Settlements Under construction page is an overhaul for compatibility from the OLD list. I think what I might do is and old saves link (pre-creation kit) and main list. so No SKE and just sub menu re-placers.
