GUIDE Skyrim Special Edition Grass LOD Guide
Wolvyreen replied to DoubleYou's topic in Game-Specific
Thanks @Mousetick. but with the introduction of SAE and some new mods, my load order has changed. therefore I would need to downgrade skyrim, generate the grass and upgrade skyrim again. It's just not worth it. I'll have to do without the grass until the mods are updated. -
GUIDE Skyrim Special Edition Grass LOD Guide
Wolvyreen replied to DoubleYou's topic in Game-Specific
From what I can see and have learned is that this guide works only for SSE and not SAE. SAE uses a dll file called bink2w64.dll and no longer binkw64.dll. Note without the 2 in the name. I realise this guide is specifically for SSE but because SAE is here, people are in need of an SAE guide as well so the guide advises you to install the .Net Script Framwork which relies on the DLL Plugin loader mod. The DLL plugin loader mod tells you to rename binkw64.dll and not bink2w64.dll so the mod has not been updated for SAE. So logically it would mean that we cannot generate the precached grass for SAE as yet until the DLL plugin loader mod is updated. I am very willing to be corrected if I am wrong because I just want to get my game working with grass everywhere. -
Thank you Sheson. You are right....I too have confirmed that the file is there and it is also deployed with my Vortex Mod Manager in to the game directory. Just to be 100% sure, I removed the mod completely and am now rerunning the texgen to see if it fails again. Maybe something went wrong with my install of the mod itself. If that is the case, I sincerely apologies if you feel I have wasted your time. I will let you know if the process completes now.
-
Thanks Sheson :-) You did already explain it and I did understand it. I just mentioned why I thought it was supposed to be part of the resource pack. If I may ask, what is the actual resource pack for?
-
Ok, thanks. Well then I will ask the mod author of RWT v5 for that missing file because TexGen is completely halting when it cannot find the file. I just thought that the edit script is looking for the file and cant find it and the other file it is looking for is actually there in the DynDOLOD resource pack so I thought they both should be part of the resource pack. Thanks Sheson :-D
-
Thanks so much for replying :-D if I may ask...if what you say is true, then how come does the DynDOLOD resource pack include the textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_fallsnoalpha.dds file which is the other file in the edit scripts file?
-
TexGen keeps halting completely when I have RealisticWaterTwo v5 mod installed. It fails due to this reason: Looking through the edit scripts file DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\Configs\DynDOLOD_SSE_TexGen_noalpha_realisticwatertwoesp.txt It seems that the script is expecting this file: textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds Looking at textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_fallsnoalpha.dds it is included in the DynDOLOD Resources SE 3.00 mod but the textures\effects\FXWhiteWater02_falls.dds file is missing. Can anyone confirm if I am doing something wrong or whether this is truly a missing texture in the Resources mod.

LOOT CTD's even with webroot exclusion in place
Wolvyreen replied to Wolvyreen's question in Other Utilities Support
Hi, Yes Audio Overhaul is part of it. what you say makes alot of sense! So I'm not sure why but suddenly loot opens without issues witha ll my mods running. I haven't changed anything except by addint the exclusions. Maybe Webroot takes a while for the exclusion to take affect?!? Wolvy- 3 replies

LOOT CTD's even with webroot exclusion in place
Wolvyreen posted a question in Other Utilities Support
Hi, I have been using loot without any issues through MO and suddenly, when executing loot, it would popup the unlock button window and after a short time, it will CTD with no reason whatsoever. So after doing some research, I found a thread that explains it could be my AV so I disabled Webroot and LOOT functions perfectly. So I proceeded to add an exclusion for loot.exe and tried again yet loot will still CTD. Disable Webroot and it's perfect. After more and more testing, I noticed that certain mods can be disabled in MO and loot will function fine even with Webroot realtime scan running but enabling those mods, causes it to CTD. So I enabled those mods and disabled webroot and loot works perfectly. What the heck could I be missing?!? Here is the error in my MO.log Here is the event viewer log: Any opinions and suggestions are welcome. Thanks Wolvy- 3 replies

Manually downloaded mod file not detected by MO in download folder
Wolvyreen replied to Wolvyreen's question in Mod Organizer Support
No it didn't but I'm sitting here laughing profusely because I figured out what was wrong! In my country we spell organiser with an S and not a Z. International spelling is Z. now I had noticed I had 2 folders of MO in my skyrim directory because I copied the folder out and back in and later I installed it again and well it got all funky!! so the problem ended up being that i was working in the incorrect directory with an S and not a Z My bad!! Im going to hit my head against the wall for 5minutes! be right back! -
Manually downloaded mod file not detected by MO in download folder
Wolvyreen replied to Wolvyreen's question in Mod Organizer Support
Wow! that was a quick reply. thank you. but I think you misunderstood. Before, the file would be detected and all I had to do was right-click -> Query Info but now when I place a new "manually downloaded" file in the downloads directory, the file doesn't show up at all in MO. So I don't even get the option to Query Info cause i dont see it there in the list. Show hidden is also enabled just in case you were wondering. i hope I was more explanatory now. -
Hi, I have a strange issue. I have migrated over from NMM. Since I did that, I was bringing in my downloaded mod files from NMM and placing them in the downloads folder. at first everything was going fine and all I had to do was Query Info for MO to recognise the meta info. But now, for some strange reason, whenever i download a new mod manually and place it in the folder, it is not detected. I have to go to nexus and download it using the mo manager link which is fine but I would prefer not having to download mods I already have. Some of them are huge and in my country, bandwidth is as important as toilet paper! Is this normal behaviour? Or is it maybe because when MO is associated with download links from Nexus and it wont recognise manually downloaded links because of the association? Maybe I am clearly missing something Any help is appreciated. thanks. Thanks Wolvy
