Need help installing Memory Blocks Log
Tomack13 replied to Tomack13's question in Mod Organizer Support
I am glade you are the one answering my question. As you can tell I am taking your lead in this. Sounds like it will work great for me. Thanks for the insight. I did find, I think. one of the causes for my LIS issue. I was thinking could my second instance of MO that I created have any part in this? What I did was deleted that MO and low and behold no more LIS. I am still having what I feel are strange behaviors from between my profiles. I do not understand if I have one mode running within one profile why it will not work in another. This is happening so far in two profiles but not concerning the same mod. This doesn't seen to be a situation that MBL will help with although I am probably wrong but I can not figure out what is causing this and what to do about it. I tried un-ticking it ran the game then ticked it and no result. Oh, The mod is Convenient Horses by the way. Can you offer any thoughts on that one? Meanwhile I will try to mess up installing MBL. Thank You. -
Would someone be so kind to give some assistance in installing Memory Blocks Log? I have watched the tutorials but have not found one pertaining to installation through MO. Could it be as simple as installing just as you would a regular mod??

First off Thanks GrantSP for correcting my blunder. What can I say. That's what old age does to you. I am trying to get on to running Mod Organizer. I have been playing Skyrim and modding for several years. So I think that makes me an expert Newbie. As I always say I know enough to make me dangerous. So I definitely do not take offense in what you and others are saying. I do have an understanding of the fact that mods are rather fickle to say the least and how important it is to be aware of conflicts. Since I have started with MO I am just starting to get a grasp on how to deal with those conflicts. This is why I am open to most constructive criticism and try to take as much advice as I can. In answer to your question as to why I have all the profiles and order the same? Well the fact that I am having this ILS issue has proven to me that I have a problem somewhere that I was not aware of. This is a good thing. Once I get over this one perhaps it will teach me something before I start playing with deleting, adding and rearranging mod orders so I can start fine tuning and creating totally separate individual profiles. This looks like it is working for me so I will press on until something better comes along. Meanwhile I will spend the duration trying to follow the advice you and others are giving me. Yes I have SKSE installed and I am almost sure I have done that correctly but I will triple check it. I have watched both Gopher and Gamerpoets many times and learned a lot from them. After my last post I thought I would try another test. I started a new character with a new profile again using the same mods and load order thinking that it might be immune to whatever problem I am having and see how it was going to respond. This has happened to me in the past BUT NOT! This character has it's own set of problems. Two large mods UNDERGROUND BATHHOUSE and UNIQUE LYDIA are having issues. I do not expect any assistance with this one but I thought you might be interested in the results. The suggestion by you to try the MEMORY BLOCKS LOG is going to be my next classroom. Thanks for the help and advice. I will get on it. I'm sure you have not heard the last of my blunders. HA HA.

In my setup of MO I have five profiles at this point. All five have the same mods and the same load order but one of the profiles will not play. There are 80 mods in the mod folder. When I start this profile and I get to the last step in starting the game where the dialog reads LOAD THIS GAME I get an ILS. At one point this profile was running but I do not know what changed to create this situation or what I did to cause it. If it makes any difference the character is a Hobbit. Seems odd to me can anyone shed some light on this? New development. I am trying to run each of my profiles to find out if I have others with the same issue and have found another with an ILS. This one when entering Underground Bathhouse. At the time I started using MO around the end of November This character had this problem and I didn't know then what it was called. So at this point this makes two out of five profiles. I'm assuming what you are actually referring to is an ILS (Infinite loading screen)? I have edited the post and the title to reflect this and therefore make it easier for other users to find this topic if they search for it.

Thanks For the response. What about the issue with the load order and the CTD? Any ideas on that one? -
[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have another question about Load Order. I have several mods in the Left column in MO that are not on the list in the Load order file that I copied and pasted in the topic above. Why are these mods not included in that list? -
[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thought I would come back with an update to my FNIS situation. Nebulous112 you were right the problem is not with FNIS. Here is what I have sorted out. My first mistake was not informing you that I was trying to do this in a second setup of MO for Skyrim. I think from what I have been reading this is difficult to accomplish and is probably some of what is causing the issue I am having. The problem I think is mostly directed to Caliente's BodySlide which works great in my first MO setup. I went back and Completely un installed BodySlide and them FNIS. I redid FNIS first and ran all of the appropriate steps and everything ran fine. I then installed BodySlide and that ran fine until I created the body. For some reason The setup can not handle it or I am missing a step. When I reinstall BodySlide the problem goes away until I create a new body. My thought Is there are files not in the correct place due to the fact I am running a second MO for Skyrim. I am going to add this here because it is dealing with I think a similar situation. On my first set up of MO (not the MO discussed above) I think I am having a mod order problem. Everyone has been so gracious and knowledgeable in the past I thought I would throw this out there. I think I might not have things set up correctly. I had an issue of a lost head with a character and dealing with that I realized I had one mod that was not ticked. I remedied that and had the game running fine to my surprise. So I went out of game and ran FNIS and Loot just to make sure I covered all the bases. I made a couple changes (on the Left side to match what was showing in the (Right side list) and now when I go into game I get CTD after I select to start that character which is a Hobbit by the way. This is the only character this is happening to. It does not seem to affect the Temptress race. When it CTD I have to enter Task Manager in order to escape the game and when I do so It Task Manager indicates that Skyrim is not responding. And of course, I can not remember what the order was before I made those changes. This is a copy of my load order for that character. # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer. [ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
I am using FNIS version 6.2. I have not changed any of my mods so I do not think this is an issue. I am running FNIS through Mod Organizer and it is set up correctly. I say this because it seemed to work before. As I stated I had no apparent problems until I started questioning the issue with the OVERWRITE and the OUTPUT mods. You could be right in your thought it could possibly not be related to FNIS although I'm not sure I understand how this could be so. I am thinking I will uninstall FNIS and start from the beginning with it and see if that will make a difference. Perhaps something I did in trying to figure out how to operate the OVERWRITE and OUTPUT mods fouled up the works. The problems I have had mostly stem from me trying to listen to too many sources for information at the same time. Too many cooks in the same kitchen affair. I am learning right here on step has been my best source. Thank you for your time and effort. Perseverance will pay off! -

Yes both are ticked. I have no warnings. Nothing came up from FNIS after creating the OUTPUT MOD. -

[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
This leads to another question then. Scenario: I have ticked all of my mods. I have run FNIS and have run Loot and such. Everything is good to this point. Now I have installed or deleted a mod and run everything as I should. Now after creating my second OUTPUT mod do I delete the first one? -
[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Thank you for your response. OK, would it be correct to install and active all of my animation mods and then run FNIS at one time for all of these mods together and then create one mod from overwrite that would cover all of them at once? Should I Reinstall FNIS in order to clear all of my previous mistakes? -
[ Q & A ] Using FNIS with Mod Organizer
Tomack13 replied to GrantSP's question in Mod Organizer Support
Before running FNIS should the mods that had been previously run be unselected? Would someone help me understand what files go into the FNIS OUTPUT mod? Should I be dragging the files from overwrite into FNIS OUTPUT or create a mod from the overwrite and then placing it under the FNIS OUTPUT mod in load order? -
Situation under control. For now anyway. I am starting to re-think this forum. It is not for help it a wisdom suppository. Thanks to all for sharing.

I just want to totally understand this whole thing. So what do I do about the warning about missing information. It still wants me to re-retrieve the information. This I do not understand. The information on the file is exactly as it reads on the file I just installed. Is this when I rename the mod that I have just downloaded?
-
Yes I understand about having the correct name but none of the selections in the Query match what is on the mod file. Where and how do you make the name change? Do you ignore the query at this point and just install the mod and then make the name changes after you install the mod?
-
I understand that once a mod is placed into the MO download file it shows up in the download column on the bottom right side of the MO screen. On some of the mods a "Information missing" message appears. Then when right clicking to Query info a list appears where one is supposed to "select the correct one. Here is where I am lost. Frequently there are several to choose from, as many as 30. None of the numbers in the description match the numbers on the download file or any of the descriptions on the site. My question is how does one choose the correct file or should the name of the mod be changed and how to do this correctly?

Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
Tomack13 replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
GrantSP, I apologize for the comment. It was made in jest. As I stated I have a new love "Mod Organizer" it beats anything I have tried in the past. I want to say I am just gratified for people such as yourself for the assistance in helping make the situation the best it can be for an old fool such as myself. I appreciate all that anyone offers. My problem is putting the information into the proper perspective and making it work on my end. All of you on the forum seem to have a lot more on the ball than myself. So THANK YOU. I am learning with your help. -

Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
Tomack13 replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
I had already enabled those settings in the new MO for the automatic Log-in to Nexus. That is why I didn't understand the download not working. Now my thought is to do as Greg suggested. My reasoning for this is when one wants to delete a mod from one of the MO and if they where all in the same folder It would be deleting the mod from both MOs. So, by creating and maintaining two folders with copies of the mods within them the first would be for the MO#1 and the second for MO#2) you could delete a mod from one MO and still have it for the other MO. Is this making any sense or am I just rambling to myself. Please say yes! I don't mind the extra work in doing this if I am getting the result I am striving for. Agree??? -

I have downloaded The Second MO. As I attempt to download the first mod from nexusmods.com the mod will not download. I get this (Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed). I must be missing a setting. How do I remedy this? -

Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
Tomack13 replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
This is a good thing. Thank you for your reply. I woke up this morning with this thought in my head and thought I would be laughed of the forum. I am thinking it would be more "Less Clutter" of all the unused mods within a particular profile by doing this when creating more than one character. MO makes creating profiles an easy thing to do and it is great. It would be "I think" easier to wrap this twisted mind around it, if I would just create the additional MO to keep things separated. Here is another question. Now that I have MO up and running! "Thanks to the help of SO many" like you and the forums, Can I now finally dump Nexus Mod Manager off my computer?? Is there anything special I should be aware of before attempting to do so? I almost forgot. After running FNIS I have several mods I created through overwrite. I now have three that are flagged REDUNDENT. Should these be deleted? If not what does one do with them? -
Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback

This probably is not the correct topic area for this question but here goes anyway. Is it possible to create a totally separate, independent MO on the computer for Skyrim? Of course one would never run both at the same time. But would this work???
