Thank you SO much for this pack
Rogdon replied to befriendlyordie's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I know this is an old thread but I also want to thank Neovalen, DarkMathias, and all of the other pack authors, evaluators, and helpers. I have almost 1,700 hours playing Skyrim. I started with S.T.E.P. then moved onto S.T.E.P Extended. Neovlen's SR:LE taught me how to use an ENB and to merge mods. Now with LOTD as a base I have an incredibly gorgeous Skyrim that is stable with over 556 mods installed including 186 merged files. With the stable LOTD build and a little help from Papyrus Data Transfer GUI I am able to add and delete followers and quests without CTDs so my game never gets boring. Life in SKyrim is very good now. Thank you for all of your hard work and the work you will be doing in the future. -
LOOT White Screen While Using the --single-process argument
Rogdon replied to Rogdon's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
I have LOOT working again. I still do not know what was wrong. How I got it running again was to delete the LOOT folder in MO and copy the LOOT folder from my Skyrim backups into MO. I started with the most recent backups and worked my way back in time. None of the LOOT folders from the August Skyrim backups worked. However, restoring the LOOT folder from the last week of July cured the problem. Thank you all for your help. It was very much appreciated. Aren't backups wonderful! -
LOOT White Screen While Using the --single-process argument
Rogdon replied to Rogdon's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Since I have Explorer 11 installed on my computer then my problem is not the same as the one solved in 2014. It may look the same but it must be caused by something different. If you any ideas as to additional things I should try it would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I can think of to try next would be to reformat my D:/ drive and do a complete reinstall of Skyrim and STEP. -
LOOT White Screen While Using the --single-process argument
Rogdon replied to Rogdon's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Thank you for your reply. 1. I renamed the Users/[username]/AppData/Local/LOOT folder and then ran LOOT through MO. I did this several times and the white screen is still there. 2. I ran LOOT outside of MO and the white screen was still there. 3. I added --game=skyrim to the LOOT executable argument list . The white screen is still there. 4. My skyrim files including MO and LOOT are located on D:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/Skyrim. Thus, there should not be any Windows permission problems since nothing is on the C:/ drive. 5. My AV program has the Skyrim folder excluded. Any other suggestions? What frustrates me is that everything was working fine the day before. Then the next day I deleted a few armor plugins (esp, meshes and textures only) and added a few armor plugins. Went to sort the load order with LOOT and the white screen appeared. I appreciate your help. -
LOOT White Screen While Using the --single-process argument
Rogdon posted a question in Mod Organizer with STEP
Hello, I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this question. If not please let me know where I should post this question. Thank you. Ten months ago I started playing Skyrim following the STEP Guide. I have progressed from STEP to STEP Extended and am now using Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited Legendary Edition. During the past ten months I have not had any problems with either LOOT or Mod Organizer. I updated to the latest version of LOOT a week ago. Everything worked fine with the updated version until yesterday when I removed a couple of armor plugins and replaced them with different armor plugins. When I ran LOOT from within MO as usual the screen had the normal LOOT border. However, the screen was all white with a small, inch long black smudge in the upper left corner that looked like highly condensed text. In trying to get the regular LOOT screen back I have tried the following: 1. Checked that the --single-process argument was still in the executable screen for LOOT. It was. 2. I deleted LOOT from my computer and reinstalled LOOT following the STEP Guide. White screen still there. 3. Reinstalled MO according to STEP Guide. White screen still there. 4. Deleted LOOT from my computer and installed the previous version of LOOT installing it per STEP Guide. White screen still there. 5. Ran LOOT outside of MO. White screen still there. 6. Tried different arguments on the LOOT executable screen. White screen still there. I have run out of ideas as to what I should try next. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
Rogdon replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hello All, My ENBoost problem has been solved. I was starting a new PC and decided to give ENBoost another try. I downloaded the files again from Boris' site. It worked perfect first time. I had downloaded the files from Boris' site multiple times when I had first posted. I have made no changes to my computer's hardware or software since my last post. Either Boris made a change to v.279 or the 7 Divines have blessed me. Thanks again for your help. -

Hello, I was able to find this website https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/directx-june-2010-asks-what-location-to-put/5e5ba845-09eb-4209-8a4c-d00e92cb0724?page=2 that has detailed instructions for installing the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe file. I would suggest that you put this link in your guide because I might not be the only ignorant person in the world. When a person is installing STEP and comes to installing ENBoost they will click on the Notes and be taken to the https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost page. It might be a good idea to put on that page a link to the CTD on Launch section of the Guide: ENB. If a noobie is having problems with ENBoost there is nothing to direct the noobie to the CTD on Launch information. Once I had properly installed the Direct End-User Runtimes program I saw that the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe file contains DXSETUP.exe plus supporting files. In my second post I said that I had run DXSETUP.exe several times and it did not solve the problem. Since installing the DirectX 9c files multiple times did not solve the problem I believe that my next move should be to uninstall Mod Organizer and then reinstall it. It might help, and if it doesn't I will not have lost that much time. I have noted that some of the mods in the STEP 2.2.9.1, such as Cutting Room Floor, will now ONLY work with USLEEP. Since I can no longer install the complete STEP 2.2.9.1 I guess that I should install 2.2.9.2 rather than the slowly disintergrating 2.2.91. I thank you all for your assistance. It was greatly appreciated. -

The exact error message is "Error ENBHOST.EXE process failed, try run as administrator or add to anti virus exclusion list" I can still try installing the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe file. That program does require that the user give it a location to install the files. Which directory should I use? -

Hello, I have run the DirectX SDK program several times. It crashes during the C++ installation saying "Errors were encountered during installation of restributable packages. Error Code S1023". In the hope that at least enough files had been installed I ran Skyrim through Mod Organizer. This time I got to the Main Menu. However in Bold Red letters across the top of the screen it said that ENBoost was not running and to try to run it as administrator. I guess my next step is to try the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe file. That program does require that the user give it a location to install the files. Which directory should I use? -

Hello TechAngel85, I have all three of the ENB files in the Skyrim directory. When I want to run the vanilla version outside of Mod Organizer I delete the d3d9.dll file. I have a copy of d3d9.dll on my desktop so restoring d3d9.dll to the Skyrim directory takes a couple of seconds. At the moment there is no anti-virus program installed. Once the game is up and running I will temporarily install an anti-virus program on it. The computer is dedicated strictly to Skyrim, nothing else. The only connection with the internet will be to log into Steam. As I said I have tried to follow the STEP Guide along the way. In the STEP Guide under the CTD on Game Launch section it says "Windows 7 users can download DX9 from Microsoft here." If you click on that link it takes you to a page to reinstall Windows 10. I did not run the DirectX End-User Runtimes because the STEP Guide said it was for Windows 8 and 10. I am now downloading DirectX SDK. Which DirectX file should I try first, DirectX SDK or Direct End User Runtime? Into which directories should I install these programs? As mentioned above, I have installed STEP 2.2.9.1 Extended through STEP 2C. I have followed all of the STEP instructions and have double and triple checked the INI files. Somehow I missed the instruction to try DirectX SDK . My apologioes. -

Hello, dxwebsetup.exe and Default Pack.exe were download directly from Microsoft. Both programs were supposed to add the DirectX 9 files to the existing DirectX 11 that came with Windows 7. I have not run the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe. Where would you like me to install it? -

Hello Greg, Skyrim vanilla runs fine when started outside of Mod Organizer using Skyrim, Update, and the three DLCs - nothing else. When I run the game through Mod Organizer it is using those same 5 files. Of course SKSE and ENBoost are also being loaded since they are installed. Removing the d3d9.dll from the Skyrim folder stops the crashes when run through Mod Organizer. I have run the June 10 program. That is the "Default Pack.exe" that I mentioned in my second post. I went into C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and C:\Windows\System32 . SysWOW64 had a subfile for DirectX, but it was empty. System32 did not have and subfolder called directX. Do you need any other information? -

Hello, Thank you for your reply. After I posted my first post I reran both dxsetup.exe and Default Pack.exe in the Skyrim folder and also in the Skyrim\DirectX10 folder. The DXsetup program when run a couple of days ago did replace all of the files in the Skyrim\DirectX10 folder. Rerunning the programs did not install any new files. The original TESV.exe has been renamed TES_.exe. The current TESV.exe is the SKSE program. All of my Skyrim files are on D: while Windows 7 and all of the other programs are installed on C: . Could this be part of the problem ? In answer to your question and also provide other information that has been asked for in previous posts like mine: The computer is brand new. The only programs installed on the computer are Windows 7, Steam, Skyrim Legendary, Adobe Flash and Reader, Mozilla Firefox, 7ZIP, Java 8, and various drivers from Asmedia, Intel, NVIDIA, and Realtek. All of these programs have been updated to their latest revision. My intention was to install STEP 2.2.9.1 Extended. I started at the top of the STEP install guide and did every instruction down to and including 2C Stable uGrids ToLoad. At that point I wanted to see what the game looked like. It ran and crashed when launched through Mod Organizer. It did not crash when I loaded the game outside of Mod Organizer. I have double checked and triple checked all of the changes needed for the INI files for enblocal, SKSE, Skyrim and Skyrimprefs. The NVIDIA Inspector has been installed and the STEP recommended changes made. The Update and DLC esm files have been cleaned per STEP instructions. Boris' VRAM test showed 13,952. I set the number at 8,192. My computer uses an Intel i5 6600K, Asus Hero viii mobo, Asus STRIX GTX 980 TI 6GB VRAM, and 32GB DDR4 RAM. Is ENBoost compatible with DDR4 memory? In my tests I have run Skyrim loading only Skyrim, Update.esm and the three DLCs - Dawnguard, Hearthfires, and Dragonborn in that order. If there is any other information you need please let me know. -

Hello, I am afraid that I am one of the unlucky people whose Skyrim crashes when using ENBoost. I have tried all of the remedies that I could find on the web including downloading the dxwebsetup.exe DX9c fix mentioned in TechAngel85's post above. The dxwebsetup program ran. I rebooted the system and ran Skyrim and it crashed as always at the opening Bethesda screen where you see in the upper left corner that ENBoost is running. Was there something else I had to do beyond running the program and rebooting? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
