  1. Sorry as I'm unfamiliar with STEP's mod testing policies. I don't do thorough screenshot-based comparisons myself, so I don't have that kind of data to share with you. I just play through areas of the game, if I like it I keep it, if not I change mods. For me, Skyland AIO is more visual pleasing, and yet still vanilla like so I overwrite Skyrim Realistic Overhaul with Skyland AIO. There are nearly 1400 files that overwrite SRO, and nearly 600 files that SRO doesn't touch. Edit: Skyland AIO can be installed from its FOMOD to only include meshes and textures (as I typically do). Installing plugins are optional.
  2. I overwrite "Skyrim Realistic Overhaul" with "Skyland AIO" in my current build and really like Skyland textures! They deviate more from vanilla than "Skyrim Realistic Overhaul", but makes the game look much better IMO.
  3. Discussion topic: HD Reworked Pelts by Halk Hogan PL Wiki Link Same lore friendly textures as Skyrim Realistic Overhaul, but higher res (2/4K) that look sharper ingame. I sought this mod out after thinking the Skyrim Realistic Overhaul pelts looked blurry ingame while playing on a 1440p 27" monitor.
  4. Discussion topic: Nordic Faces - Immersive Characters Overhaul by The Community and deletepch Wiki Link AIO high quality lore-friendly NPC enhancer with textures, meshes, and facegen files Personally I think it looks better than the current STEP selection of mods, and better than "Cathedral Player and NPC Overhaul - HMB II" No plugins so easy to manage SFW Additionally installing Expressive Facegen Morphs SE by Niroku (listed as a Soft Requirement) is needed to avoid issue with some NPCs mouths.
  5. I asked on the Steam discussions as well and overdev (an officer over there) says: So it would seem it is best not to clean the files.
  6. When modding Skyrim I'm accustomed thanks to STEP guides to first cleaning the the following master ESM files using xEdit: Update.esm Dawnguard.esm Hearthfires.esm Dragonborn.esm Is this recommended for Enderal SE when installed from Steam?
  7. A bias many of us, myself included, share.
  8. I haven't been able to find anything that indicates a commitment from the MO devs. But here's hoping someone makes it happen. Vortex isn't all that bad, but for hundreds of mods like many Skyrim modders do, MO is the way.
  9. That is excellent news! I would suspect Collections would overtake Wabbajack too as Collections is provided by Nexus Mods. But if there were no MO support for Collections that would be a major pro in favor of using Wabbajack IMO.
  10. Skyrim the gift that keeps on giving! I've been away from the game for years and see now I have Anniversary Edition content to try, STEP 2.0, Enderal and Requiem available for SSE. OP's list of items all sound quite interesting as well. So much to do, so little time.
  11. I'm ready for another Skyrim playthrough and have been using STEP mod guides since Legendary Edition so I was very pleased to see an up to date SkyrimSE v2.0.0 mod guide for Skyrim Anniversary Edition has been released! And am also greatly looking forward to STEP's support for Nexus Collections! Edit: Did some reading and apparently Nexus Collections only supports Vortex. Since Wabbajack supports MO2 and appears to be the more robust option I'd be interested to learn why STEP chose Nexus Collections.
