I asked on the Steam discussions as well and overdev (an officer over there) says: So it would seem it is best not to clean the files. -

I haven't been able to find anything that indicates a commitment from the MO devs. But here's hoping someone makes it happen. Vortex isn't all that bad, but for hundreds of mods like many Skyrim modders do, MO is the way. -

That is excellent news! I would suspect Collections would overtake Wabbajack too as Collections is provided by Nexus Mods. But if there were no MO support for Collections that would be a major pro in favor of using Wabbajack IMO. -
Skyrim the gift that keeps on giving! I've been away from the game for years and see now I have Anniversary Edition content to try, STEP 2.0, Enderal and Requiem available for SSE. OP's list of items all sound quite interesting as well. So much to do, so little time.

I'm ready for another Skyrim playthrough and have been using STEP mod guides since Legendary Edition so I was very pleased to see an up to date SkyrimSE v2.0.0 mod guide for Skyrim Anniversary Edition has been released! And am also greatly looking forward to STEP's support for Nexus Collections! Edit: Did some reading and apparently Nexus Collections only supports Vortex. Since Wabbajack supports MO2 and appears to be the more robust option I'd be interested to learn why STEP chose Nexus Collections.
