Damn @Decopauge123 you just WTF blew my mind. Why all the work? Putting the same mods into two different folders is redundant. I took the instructions to mean to remove those two esps from the Animals merge and put them into the KYE Patches Merged and redo the Animals Merge. It worked for me. Yeah, I think you may have done something wrong with Racemenu's or another mods install, as I don't have that problem. What I do is create the character, save, set all my MCM and settings from inventory and/or magic menu, save again. Talk to Mara, choose option, save, go to sleep and start, save. Start Play. Today I'm starting a new game on a profile w/o Legacy of the Dragonborn or any of the add on quests. Chose Vigilant of Stendarr start. Going to be a War Priest with 3 Followers for dungeons and 5 followers for Travel. I'm going to let the followers do most of the combat and heal them, I also have Apocalypse and Ordinator so I'm going to be a One Handed Mace/Hammer wielding Restoration mage, Heavy Armor, Alchemy, Smithing and Enchanting. I'm also running Rustic Weathers with the Bleak Preset and no ENB. Man is it smooth. I still haven't finished updating the full guide yet, but when I get it done with it I have an idea for an Argonian Illusion Thief for my Museum Character.

What DarkladyLexy said. The latest version of XP32 has issues with Race Menu but I believe the author is working on it. Campfire and Frostfall (mostly Frostfall) have issues in SE. The main one is that the correct warmth settings on clothing and armor don't transfer properly. There is a fix for it on Reddit if you just have to have it. I am using Hypothermia Plus/Hypothermia and Camping Lite for SE at the moment also with that providers port of a working "Real Shelter" (Second Sticky Post). That is also on the Hypothermia Plus Nexus page. Hypothermia is not as in your face as Frostfall and It suits me more (I kind of like it better than Frostfall).

With Boris' latest release of ENB .343 (Subsurface Scattering addition) Skyrim SE just caught up with LE. He hasn't perfected it yet and there are some issues with it but he IS working on it. "(I don't obediently adhere 100% to STEP or SRLE)" Ha Ha Ha, I don't either, I'm an old pervert I have to have my SOS Lite and Flower Girls. "(P.S. re: the girl power, I've been here forever but my executive function waxes and wanes so I'm not a very good contributor I try to make up for it by donating )" I'm just glad to see lady gamers in here. I turned my daughter into one and she is better at Skyrim than I am. She is a console peasant however (just joking about the console peasant part). Lurk away but please grace us with your presence once and awhile

Sorry about that Kal, I believe I was confusing you and godescalcus. I'm terrible with names, I go with faces and I"ve been seeing yours! Deepest apologies to you and forgive me @godescalcus!!!! I still have my W7 disk. I still have in the back of my mind the desire to go back to it! But all the reloads and stuff "ugh". Plus I watch my grand daughter all day. She's in her terrible twos and into every thing, defiant, stubborn and will get her way.

Not related to this guide, but some more info on the Spring Windows 10 Update. It did not affect my graphics card like it did Kal's (it did corrupt the nVidia driver and I had to reinstall that, but my system performance was gradually deteriorating. I checked my ssds and hdds and I ran tests on my cpu and gpu. My cpu failed several test items in Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool. What I found was that I had to reinstall all of my mobo drivers and in particular the Intel Rapid Storage Driver which turned out to be the real culprit. Everything is hunky dory now. Fecin' Micro$oft sucks.

Well, an alternative to ENB would be a Reshade alone, but I am not familiar with them. You could google Skyrim SE Reshades and see what pops up. Seriously though, and this is coming from someone who plays with ENB on, you don't really need an ENB at all. Skyrim SE looks pretty good alone and realistically are only for aesthetics and screen archery (not to mention saving you anywhere from 5-20 fps by not using one). One alternative I just thought of is Rustic Weathers and Lighting, it is compatible with lighting mods, the Darker Nights, True Storms (with a patch), and Lightning during Thunderstorms (Minty Lightning) mods. The author recommends two ENB's (not required) and she also provides an optional download that provides four different presets for non-ENB users. Rustic Weathers is very similar to Vivid Weathers is lighter graphic load wise and imho looks just as good if not better than Vivid Weathers. Check it out!

This is a guide LosGrak not a Bible. You can add to or remove from it as you see fit. However there are certain mods that if you remove or add that will affect other mods or Lexy's conflict and/or other edits. You just have to be prepared to correct them. If you don't know how, any of us can guide you in the right direction. Both Kal and myself told you that the majority of us are using Soul Cairn HD, if you like LH's Soul Cairn better then use it. They are just mesh and texture files (no esp files) but you will have to redo xLODGen (optional) and DynDOLOD if you change one out for the other. On another note, seems we are getting some girl power in here! LOL

Probably a dumb question, but the dumb ones are never asked. Was copying my Skyrim SE .ini files and noticed that there is a fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance= under both Skyrim.ini (7000) and SkyrimPrefs.ini (which we change to 18000 under Prerequistite Page Tweaks). Is it supposed to be like that or is it a misplaced entry?

I had a funky tree where you are talking about that I could not select and disable. Someone here or on Reddit said the only way they could get rid of it was to free camera (or tcl) above the offending entity and look down on top of it. Then they were able to select the tree by putting the cursor over the tip of the tree. Haven't tried it yet but I"m plan to give it a shot. Check and see if it works for you. Can't hurt anything.

I found this... [–]Brodazzler 2 points 1 year ago I have an R9 390x, i5-4450, 8GB 1600 Ram and run on 1080, no Freesync. After every ini/frame rate lock tweak I could find had minimal effect, I spent some time last night making minor adjustments to everything one by one, trying to find the consistent 60 FPS sweet spot while running through The Rift(most taxing part for my Rig back in legendary edition) and this is what worked for me: I have my distance settings to Max but with Large Object Load to the second notch on the slider, Shadow Quality/Distance both at medium and Object Detail Fade to Medium, there is another Object Related setting I cant recall now but it was set to High. I could actually have Shadow Quality/Distance set to High and only see minor drops(52-57) but the second I set object Detail Fade to High/Ultra I drop down to about 40-44/32-36 when looking in certain directions. Everything not mentioned is set to max, including Godrays(I honestly didn't see much of a performance change between having Godrays on Off and had them on Ultra when doing these tests, I will have them on Low regardless simply because the Ultra setting is just too much imo). I was using the FO4 ENB to limit FPS to 59 and to monitor FPS, having the ENB limit FPS to 60 or to have it unlocked I saw more frequent drops/stutter. ...on Reddit at this page HERE.
