  1. Actually I like it, no more running around with one weapon destroying everything. It's just an entirely new game and adds a renewed freshness to it.
  2. With this LotD Guide, Enairim and Know your Enemy, this is a whole new game. I am finding myself having to relearn how to play as things I have done in the past no longer apply. Imperious, Andromeda, Summermyst, Thunderchild and Ordinator and how they all interact is something I'm still trying to wrap my head around. Not a gripe, just a thought. :)
  3. I think you'd better stop going on those drinking binges with Sam Guevenne! LoL
  4. I have been waiting for this one. Finally you can cast illusion spells from stealth without followers attacking.
  5. It's really simple. Install your ENB version and ENB Preset of choice. Open up ENB Manager. Place a check in the box next to Slot 1 and name it whatever you want. When you want to change an ENB out hit the big Remove button at the bottom (install your new enb and preset - unless ENB Manager already has it saved) place a check next to Slot 2 and name it. If the ENB and Preset are already saved in the Manager, click the Remove button at the bottom and select the one you want to use in the manager. Done.
  6. That is a well known issue with ELFX and Skyrim limitations. You can fix it if you can identify the light source and change a setting in SSEEdit. I dredged up an old thread of mine out of either the SRLE or SRLE Extended forum awhile back and gave it to Lexy to use in a CR to fix that problem in the opening LAL room with the light next to the statue of Mara. But you can apply that fix to the problem light fixture setting in that particular cell and it "should" fix it. Most of us have learned to deal with the limitation. Slightly irritating but not a major issue.
  7. That is a missing bark texture. Did you follow the entire Tree and Flora section of the guide correctly? Something went wrong there. You can open the console and click on the tree and get its form id (the first two letters will identify the mod in your load order. Open it up in SSEEdit and see if you can find the missing one and/or redo the Tree and Flora section. I ordered mine like Lexy's and then I ran loot on it again just so that it would be specific to my system and additional mods. Works fine. YMMV.
  8. I haven't tried to see godescalcus, I will when I get a quest npc follower, but I think it is just for normal followers. I'll find out. Do you know Braithe's story @OCDCoder? Go to her house and when both her parents are home and listen to the conversation....interesting to say the least....things can happen...ahem...and she can become adoptable.
  9. I love your role play style, you seem to play similar to myself. I took a lesson from a you tuber for playing on legendary. (In LotD and most of my games I typically start on Adept and increase difficulty every 15 levels - adding one follower for every difficulty increase) For a legendary one (this works with vanilla or Ordinator skill trees), I go around doing fetch quests and collect flowers. I make and sell potions getting Alchemy up to 40 and raise speech to 50 for the sell anything to any one perk. While doing so, I keep an eye out for a Turn Undead weapon and disenchant it. I make and keep any iron daggers I've found and enchant them with Turn Undead (getting enchanting to 60). I then go to a skill trainer and train my main offense and defense skills to 50 (I use the enchanted daggers and potions to get my money back if the trainer is also a merchant) I pretty much do this until the core of my build is where I want it and then I start to play. If I don't feel like doing all that, I use Honed Metal and let the NPC's make, improve and enchant my gear (I find this works better with Ordinator for me).
  10. After you extract the bsa, delete it. You don't need it anymore. You have the zip file in MO2's download folder in case you need to reinstall. I stole this from a reddit post, you can technically merge esms however: (from the reddit post) "ESM files are, one presumes, flagged as masters for a reason, and that reason most likely is because some other plugin somewhere depends upon it. Merging plugins (ESMs or ESPs) using Mator's tools will most likely change the form IDs (they will try to avoid doing so if it's not necessary, but that's typically not possible because of ID conflicts), and doing that will regularly break those dependencies. If you're going to merge files like that, you should have a good idea of what you're getting into and be comfortable with doing a fair bit of messing around in TES5Edit to get things fixed" Don't merge esm files is just something I've read on forums for a long time. Just another headache to deal with if something goes wrong.
  11. Ha Ha, well at level 2 I don't have a lot of magicka to fuel an offense, so I was letting Jessi and Faendal take all the heat while I moved around and took pot shots, chugging self made mana potions as required. Tocatta does a very good job of healing provided the battle doesn't get out of control. I have her set up with no offense except for a summon and flesh and heal spells only. I may or may not supplement her healing depending on how the play through goes. I just try my best not to get hit. If I do at this stage, I'm dead. I'm not good enough to solo on Legendary so I always have Tocatta and two others with me at all times. Makes Legendary difficulty with the NPC mods and Combat mods more...emm manageable. The jump from Helgen Keep on Legendary....I wait until Alduin's fire burns out, then looking at the hole he made, I go to the far right of it. I jump down onto the Thatch roof of the building taking care not to land in fire on the roof (the dot will kill you. Then I jump into the building from the roof. Works for me every time unless I land in some fire on the roof.
  12. Funny story with my budding level 2 Battlemage, Had Jessi, Faendal and Tocatta with me playing on Legendary. Was just running around doing my early level flower picking on the road near Kynesgrove. Got too close and aggro'd a Giant. Jessi and Faendal charged the giant. They were holding there own with Tocatta healing them. I have the followers set to 10% chance to die in iAFT. Suddenly the Mammoth swung his head and Jessi flew across the road and crumpled into a pile dead. Three hits later from the giant and Faendal followed suit. The giant and mammoth chased Tocatta and I all the way back to Kynesgrove. What an disasterous outing. I gotta find replacements. Time to make a sell a lot of potions from all the flowers I've been picking.
  13. Leave the BSA extracted and loose. You can repack it with a tool, I don't have it and don't know the name, you can google it if you want. You extract the bsa into it's parent folder in MO2's mod folder, you don't need to create another mod and add it. I wouldn't merge esm's, not a good idea. Yes, Let loot sort your patch(es) and if you have issues then manually move and set loot rules for them.
  14. I have never played Wyrmstooth myself, just never got around to it in SRLE or SRLE Extended. I have seen it played on You Tube by various individuals and it does appear to be an excellent piece of work. But I'm with sirjesto and DarkladyLexy on this one. I'm not using it until the author says it is okay to do so. They did it free of charge on their own time. The very least that we as a community can do is support their decision.
  15. This has already been discussed if you would search this forum. Unless I am totally wrong Lexy's SRLE Extended LotD SE stance is that unless it becomes an official release on the Nexus it isn't going to happen. This is a ToS issue with the S.T.E.P. forum in order to honor the original mod makers wishes. Here is an earlier post: Posted by berndaroy on 23 May 2018 - 02:42 PM in Skyrim Revisited (Skyrim) godescalcus hi! For what it's worth this question has been raised on the LOTD site, and the team have stated that they would not recognize any version, then the last posted (1.16.1)by the original author and posted on nexus. People were asking for support with the newer version and LOTD, but the team do not believe this is supported by the original author or released with his/her consent. So if used here when released, any problems may have to be addressed here....this is my understanding with that mod. If you want Wyrmstooth, convert it and use it but any issues that arise will be on you to fix. Lexy has enough on her plate with this guide, she doesn't need issues with someone else's mod.
  16. Also as far as that pop-up goes, you basically want to set it for whatever difficulty you are playing on. It allows werewolf form to scale to difficulty so it doesn't become obsolete in higher levels. Like Sacrosanct's perk tree does for Vampire Lords.
  17. @redirishlord "my "forum fu" is weak :-(" As punishment you must do 10,000 keystrokes!
  18. What happened to the kye_mlu_patch.esp? Was this replaced by the KYE Armors-MLU Patch.esp?
  19. What a sweet armor! Elite Rogue Armor The non-skimpy version looks like it might have some North Girl influences.
  20. xLODGen doesn't place the output in overwrite. It places the output into the SSELODGen folder you created during xLODGen's installation. Create a mod for it in MO2's left pane, copy/paste and activate.
  21. "Yes i know it's for the SE version". You just answered your own request. Stability and Performance - 64bit vs 32bit. Graphics - This guide incorporates many of the mods included in the original and some that are SE exclusive. SE is more stable and offers better performance. LE is older and has more mod offerings. Pick your poison.
  22. Lexy has removed them from the guide completely. We are not allowed to post mods that have been "removed" from the Nexus here at the S.T.E.P. forum. ToS Rule. I learned that the hard way sometime back. I thought I was helping someone complete the guide and got a spanking.
