Okay, I am at the point in the guide where you use zEdit. I downloaded the portable version and installed it in my gaming utilities folder. I can run it independently and through Mod Organzier 2. Zedit has a Skyrim SE profile already and the load list shows the vanilla Skyrim SE Data folder contents. I am trying to create a path for the SRLE Extended LotD Profile so zEdit will recognize my Mod Organizer 2 load order. What is the correct path? If I use ....SkyrimSpecialEdition\Data, it just loads the what is my game data folder and not the load order of esp's from MO2.

This guide does a damn good job of teaching you how to mod. You will forget something or miss something and have to go back and fix it but it's damn worth it. The community here (except for me when I get anal sometimes :P) is excellent and we can help you when you get stuck. If it's your first time doing the guide follow it exactly and don't add or remove anything from it. Then after you get stable and comfortable you can create a new MO2 Profile with this as base and work on removing and adding things.

Poor wording on my part sm0kem, I really just meant to say that it touches on a lot of things and requires some CR work. That what I get for posting when I"m tired. Basically almost anything that touches leveled lists needs a patch and for people that like mods that add new armor or weapons, inconsistencies can occur. There I fixed that. Lexy understood what I was trying to say and that is all that matters.

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

I have an i5 4690 (oc'd to 4.4) and a 4gb GTX 970 with just a slight overclock myself. Playing at 1080P I used 2k textures for all big main things ( plus certain smaller textures I wanted at that level) and 1k and even some 512 textures on smaller stuff (you don't need 2k tomatoes for example). My fps stays in the mid to low 50's with drops into the mid to low 40's in graphics intensive areas especially during heavy thunderstorms. Biggest FPS hits are DynDOLOD, ENB, Trees and Grass. First thing I'd look at is a "lighter" ENB (you don't even really need one, they are for screen archers and aesthetics). Next try dropping DynDOLOD down a notch and see how that is for you. Play with your grass settings a bit and also check out the lighter Tree mod set ups until you find a good fit for you and your machine. These are really good suggestions also. ^^^^^ -
I understand your point Tzefira. I wasn't trying to come across as a perfectionist or a**hat. I have this setup on Classic and am in the process of installing it for SE and I watch both forums. I understand that we are human and make mistakes. You mentioned the double "ss" one. That is an easy one to miss and I will admit that I did it myself. I just posted my previous entry because I have begun seeing an upswing in the number of questions regarding things that are clearly covered and not adhered to or users here trying to help people only to find out that the person posing the question added this or deleted that and it was the underlying issue. I just felt that a reminder (admittedly a little terse) was in order. I am all for helping people and I have been doing that since I began actually posting things on this board and not just following it.

Someone said this recently here or the in the Classic SRLE guide recently, a brief look didn't turn it up, and I am too lazy to search for it anymore for a quote, so I will reiterate in my own words. This is not directed at any one individual it is here for all new users and familiar ones alike. This is a comprehensive (and complicated, especially for a new or inexperienced modder) guide for a reason. It has specific "Instructions" for that exact reason. If you just haphazardly come here and start loading mods, don't read the instructions, and start adding other mods on top of it you are going to run into problems. 1. Read the guide. 2. Follow the instructions to the letter with no deviation. 3. Test the game for crashes or other immediate problems after loading each "section". 4. Once finished with installing the entire guide with no issues, make a temporary character and play the game for an hour or more just running around the world exploring and entering dungeons to look for possible hidden or otherwise obscured issue. Once you are satisfied that everything is working correctly you can go back and make changes or start adding in other mods that are not included (one at a time and test before installing another) to turn the guide into one customized for you. If you don't do this, you will have issues and it is no one's fault but your own.

No, the esps will not be ticked, they will have a green background with a plus sign in Wrye Bash's left pane and they will not be ticked anymore in MO2's right pane. -

I hope I am understanding correctly. So you start Wrye Bash with all plugins on the right side of MO2 activated. You click on Build Patch. Wrye pops up the window with the "mergable" esps in the top pane and those marked "no merge" in the bottom pane, correct? Now what you do is leave the items in the top pane checked and uncheck the items in the bottom pane and click ok/continue. That is how you do it. When Wrye is done it will show the items in the top pane with a green background and a "+" symbol. Your "no merge" mods should still be checked and the mod name turned purple. What I would do is delete your bashedpatch.esp and the docs folder from overwrite or whatever folder you have it in in MO2's left pane. Make sure all plug ins in the right pane are checked and run Wrye Bash again. Let me know how it goes. -

Others may not agree, but what I do is 1-15 Adept, 16-30 Expert, 31-45 Master, 46-60 Legendary. At Level 61 I start raising the Skyrim Immersive Creatures difficulty from Adept up to Legendary when I think I need to raise the difficulty more. SIC's difficulty goes on top of and expands the game difficulty. Coupled with AAE and Wildcat and/or Smilodon this should be challenging enough for you. As far as the followers and experience go, AFT had a feature called Follower Synergy you could toggle on and the followers would share a portion of their experience with you. You could also place them on auto level or manual leveling (so you can choose what you want them to increase in). I am not sure if iAFt has this as I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it has similar settings. -
Finally got around to trying to install this. I am trying to do the Heads Up Display merge and I keep getting this error: Failed to merge ----->Heads Up Display Merge, Cannot create file "G:\Skyrim SE Utilities\Merge Plugins 2.3.1\merges\----->Heads Up Display Merge\interface\translations\Heads Up Display Merged_spanish.txt". The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. Any idea what is causing this?
