Some good points made, but the "other page" is fri's Skyrim Installation Guide, so we can address some of your points there as well (but not going to reproduce fri's work in the DDSopt guide. I disagree emphatically. There are big gains to be had if using SKYHD and to a lesser extent some of the others. The effects are cumulative as well. In addition to FPS gain, you also get other optimizations that are well worth it. (read the guide's intro).

Please define "the optimizer" (e.g., Optimizer Textures?). Highly unlikely that this or other texture opt would cause any FPS drops. Either way, this would be a "user" bug and does not belong on this thread Suggest you look for help in the support forum. Thanks

Just now made one minor correction to a dir-path wildcard error in the pasted batch script. It is corrected now, and I am running it now on my own setup.

The guides are all written for clarity, so you should be able to follow along step-by-step without having to wrack your brain too much. Let us know if something is not clear, as that is how they get improved.

Added more info to the DLC section of the guide: I went ahead and thoroughly tested and verified Eiwyn's new bat against PatrikBenson's bat and both against compares I did myself with vanilla textures using FreeFileSync. There were some missing textures, so I created a consolidated bat file. Please someone go and check what I have written to verify that it makes sense and is correct. Thanks!

Check to the left, under your name ;) Actually, the instructions to configure all DDSopt settings come after extraction of BSAs, so is it possible that this was not ticked during extraction (i.e., do you remember having to tick that one before DDSopt'ing)?

Did you have "Unselect inappropriate" ticked under Settings? A few of the options are undocumented, so I can only guess what they do. It seems that this would potentially prevent non-image files from being selected and processed. Confirmation could confirm that this is or is not the case. Thanks

DIY puts hair on your chest, so , unless you are a female, I cannot fathom any argument to the contrary ;) Seriously though, As Monty states, redistribution of the DLCs is not legal, however distribution of ONLY the altered portions of the DLC should be perfectly legal. Given the plethora of HRDLC stuff already on the Nexus, I'd hate to add another, but would advocate pooling ALL available options into a single mod. Unfortunately, this steps on the toes of others, so I see not simple solution other than DIY. EDIT: Moved thread from Mods forum... this is NOT a mod ;)

Coming in late on this, I know: These "poor buggers" might be caught at an early age and tracked to a more limited or technical service-oriented education, and provided for with all of the social "securities" offered to everyone else, I would say. I am pretty sure that the German educational system works in a similar fashion?

Agree with Fri. New content mods must come packaged with a raison d'etre that fits in well with the lore of the game. Careful work in this regard and in the improvements suggested above would sway me to use this mod.
