  3. Hello, So after much trouble with NMM I finally made the switch to Mod Organizer. It is going very well and I like it much more than NMM. So I am doing a SR:LE install and have hit a bump. After installing "Stunning Statues of Skyrim" there are these special instructions: Special Installation: After installation, copy and rename the following files as indicated: meshes/architecture/winterhold/magestatue.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/magestatuesnow.nifmeshes/clutter/Mehrunes/shrinemehrunes01.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/mehrunesdagonsnow.nifmeshes/clutter/statues/malacathstatue01.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/malacathstatuesnow.nifmeshes/clutter/statues/shrineofazura01.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/azurastatuesnow.nifmeshes/clutter/statues/statuedibella.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/statuedibellasnow.nifmeshes/clutter/statues/statueofmeridia01.nif -> meshes/prometheus/architecture/statuessnow/statueofmeridiasnow.nif I don't know how to do this when using Mod Organizer. I know my way around the Skyrim Data folder like the back of my hand, but can't find any way to do this when using MO. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. Rolling back to driver 368.81 seems to have fixed it. Though clicking on SkyrimLauncher.exe from inside the Skyrim folder still gives the "Skyrim Launcher has stopped working" message, but everything else seems to be working now. **EDIT** Spoke too soon. Now I can launch the game, but when launching through SKSE AND using ENBoost, the purple textures are back. this is infuriating. Furthermore, I can only use ENB v 305 .dll, v 308 gives me the stopped working message. About to give up and just wait for the special edition in October.

  6. I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that I have run SkyrimLauncher.exe, and the same thing happens, I get the message "Skyrim launcher has stopped working", so it doesn't detect video settings. Also I have run the user runtimes to no avail :(
  7. Greetings, Coming to you fine folks for help as I'm at my wits end. I decided to do a fresh install of Skyrim, and have had nothing but problems. I'm guessing it's not a coincidence that I've got Windows 10, and the anniversary update. I wish I would have never installed Windows 10, but I'm stuck with it now. So right now, I have a completely vanilla Skyrim install (but I do have DG, HF. DB, and Hi-Res pack), no mods, and when I try to launch the game via TESV.exe, I get the message "Skyrim Launcher has stopped working". I should note this is the only game I have a problem with on my system. Things I have tried: Drivers - All up to date DirectX User runtimes - no help Completely uninstalling and deleting Skyrim, then downloading fresh from Steam - Same problem Google - no help Running compatibility mode and as administrator - no help Now here's where it get's really weird. I decided to install SKSE and try to launch via that. This includes installing the scripts and SKSE.ini. The game launches, but every texture is purple. (I do have the Hi-Res DLC installed too, along with all 3 Official DLC's). I am just baffled. I've been playing the game and modding since it came out, consider myself a knowledgeable and responsible modder, but I can't imagine what is going on. So like I said, I "think" it's an issue between Skyrim and Windows 10, but I have no idea. A couple of things of note: My OS is on an SSD, and Skyrim and all other games including Steam are on a separate SSD. My game worked fine as of a couple of weeks ago (anniversary update??).   10. No I started a brand new game with version 10. Couldn't continue, had to revert to version 9.
  11. For what it's worth I found the new version 10 of DCO to be very very buggy. I had to revert to version 9. Some examples of things happening with the new version: Mirmulnir fleeing during the fight and never returning, so you can't progress the game, absorbing the soul of a dragon while it's still alive at very low health then it becomes an unkillable skeletal dragon, absorbing a dragons soul twice from the same dead dragon, and dragons landing then fleeing on foot at high speeds with no chance to catch up to them. I finally gave up on it, uninstalled version 10, reinstalled version 9, ran the new save cleaner tool, and everything seems to be back to normal. It could just be my setup, but thought I would share my experiences.
  12. Good to know CWO is compatible with Alternate start! Ive been searching, but not finding anything on compatibility with Helgen Reborn. Really want to try both these mods out in the same playthrough, but maybe it's not such a good idea. EDIT: Scratch that, somehow I missed on the Helgen Reborn front page that says they are compatible, excellent!! Now to put it through it's paces, new game here I come!
  13. I'm a long time user of Dragon Combat Overhaul (and big fan of it too) but have not tried the others, a little apprehensive maybe. However if you guys are giving glowing testimonials I'm all for giving it a shot, especially this new all in one deal with MCM support, right up my alley. Question about CWO compatibility, any idea how it plays with Alternate Start and Helgen Reborn? Any issues to be aware of?

Reading through comments right now, trying to get a handle on compatibility with WAFR, CCOR, etc. I have gotten pretty used to those mods :) Been using SkyRe for awhile now, looking for something different. Requiem hasn't really interested me, SPERG was fun for a bit, but didnt have lasting power. I think I just might try this out. Thanks for the link! :)

  16. Decided to try this, I actually love it. To me it doesn't seem out of place, and has the added benefit of making bandoliers look very very nice. Just my two cents.
  17. Just thought I would throw out there that I decided to test whether merging the plugins would work. I went conservative and only merged the xflConfig.esp, xflDialogue.esp, xflPanel.esp, and xflPlugins.esp. The mod works fine, the only feature that seems not to work is the Panel tab in the MCM menu, where I believe you can adjust the size, position of the panel, etc. That doesn;t matter to me, so I'm fine with the merge. Just a heads up for anyone interested.
  18. Hello all, I am a little confused, looking for some clarification if possible. When installing IA7, special intstructions for SR:LE are this: Special Installation: After installation, remove the following file(s) and/or folder(s): Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp (Empty ESP.) What I'm confused by is on the IA7 page they say it's needed to load the extra textures, and there is a corresponding .bsa file for it. So just want to make sure I really don't need it. Thanks!

  21. CJ2311, did these merge ok together? I was under the impression that mods that alter worldspace don't always merge well, or is that not the case? I could be way off, but I thought I remember the guy who made the merge script for TES5Edit said that. Anyway, interested to know how the merge went :)
  22. Please disregard, I believe I found the issue. Like a knucklehead I upgraded Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim in the middle of a playthrough. I know I know, my own fault! Anyways, my current character is only level 19, I have no problem starting over, especially with how fun it is to play crash free now! Cheers!
  23. Hello, Reaching out to you fine people here for some help. I have finally gotten a stable gameplay experience with all the latest advancements in the modding community, and it is awesome. It's never been so smooth and worry free. However, a new issue has cropped up out of nowhere, and I am stumped. When I try to save, not always, but randomly, I will CTD. It could be from doing a new hard save, a quicksave, using the Save Hotkey Archmod for SKSE, even tried enabling autosaves and still would randomly get CTD's. It's very frustrating because I never know when it will happen, so I'm scared to save and will play for a long time, cross my fingers and make a save, and crash. So all that playtime is gone. I should note that there does seem to be a 100% CTD on save in the Hall of the Dead in Whiterun. Yes I know, easy solution to that, don't save in there! But that doesn't help with random CTD's on saving everywhere else. What I noticed in the Saves folder, is a save file is being generated that ends in .tmp, Â "Draxon Redoran's Retreat 13.12.32.ess.tmp" for example, when I CTD. The file is only 512 kb. My regular saves are not bloated either, around 10.7 mb or so. I have searched, but found no reliable or definitive answers on the cause or cure. Any help would be so much appreciated. Thank you!
