Giving this a try as well. However I ran into an issue, with Visual C++ (keep in mind I have never used this before). Everything was going fine until I clicked "build" under "Steam Loader" and got this error message: "warning MSB8012: TargetPath(D:\SkyrimDownloads\skse_1_06_16\skse_1_06_16\src\skse\Release\steam_loader.dll) does not match the Linker's OutputFile property value (D:\SkyrimDownloads\skse_1_06_16\skse_1_06_16\src\skse\Release\skse_steam_loader.dll). This may cause your project to build incorrectly. To correct this, please make sure that $(OutDir), $(TargetName) and $(TargetExt) property values match the value specified in %(Link.OutputFile)." As I have not used this program before, I have no idea how to fix this. Anyone with more knowledge able to help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

I'm having the issue with the record lengths as well, but am having a heck of a time trying to figure out which mod(s) I should be blocking. I'm looking at the debug files, but not seeing a clear answer as to where the problem is coming from. Can anyone help me out with what to look for in the logs? As an aside, I do use ASIS (just perk, spell, and potions), Automatic Variants, Dual Sheath Redux, and ReProccer without any issue.

360 Hotkey Enabler I am one of those who uses a controller for the PC, just a comfort thing. Have used keyboard and mouse for MMO's obviously, but for this game I prefer a controller. Anyway, if a hotkey mod is needed, I use and highly recommend the 360 Hotkey Enabler mod. It gives the best of both worlds, use of a controller AND access to the keyboard hotkeys. Just my 2 cents.

I was plagued by the ILS trying to travel from Solstheim to Skyrim, either fast travel or by boat. After extensive testing of both with Safety Load, I have had no ILS with either forms of travel since installing it.

Well unfortunately still getting the random combat freeze. I guess I still have too much going on in my game :(

Yes for me it is a complete freeze of the game, the screen is frozen, but sound still plays. I have to ctrl-alt-del to task manager and quit the process which is "not responding". Happens mainly during combat, but has happened just running around in the open world. Almost never happens in interiors, but once it a great while it will.

I would like to throw in my receent experience with combat freezes if anyone is interested. I currently use SkyRe (without Races, AI, Combat, and Standing Stones modules), EBT, DSI (just the textures, no .esp), Duel Combat Realism, and ERSO Enhanced Enemy AI, and ASIS (no added spawns, just spell, perk, and potion distribution). I will add I do use different race and standing stone mods, but that is not important. I really like this setup. I play on master difficulty, and it is fun if not brutal. However combat freezes do happen. Not every fight, or even every other fight, but enough to be quite annoying. The thing I tried was going into MCM menu for EBT and simply disabling the NPC scripts function. That seems to have worked for me. No combat freezes since. I will report back after more testing. I do miss the cool effects of blood pooling etc from that, but I still get the enhanced textures, and not freezing is worth it to me.

I would love to see the Ini settings you are using.

Hello, So I recently noticed that there are some rocks scattered around that still have a terrible low resolution even after doing a full STEP install. I attached a photo outside of Solitude as an example, but they are scattered here and there across the world. Did I miss something? Is there anything I can for these? They stick out pretty bad with all the other amazing graphics around them. Hope someone has some insight, thanks!

Ok so after poking around a bit, is there a good tutorial or guide to editing the ESP's with TES5Edit? Really have no idea where to start with that.

The issue I am having is that I want to use Improved Closed Face Helmets, but have it NOT affect the Daedric helmet, I want to keep that one closed. So I installed the Daedic Armor and Weapon Improvement mod, then ICFH, and overwrote everything EXCEPT the Daedric helmet, figuring this would give me the result I want. However, when I go in game, the Daedric helmet is invisble, and the character is bald, and I cannot figure out why. Should this not work? Is there something else I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
