SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified
edynacio replied to paul666root's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The main mods missing in my opinion and they all have patches available at Requiem 1.9.4 Patch Central: Skytest (Requiem does add new animal AI and variations but not so in depth as Skytest)Immersive PatrolsRS ChildrenThe survival mods: Frostfall (patch at Requiem 1.9.4 Patch Central but I'm hoping that jdsmith will look in to those)Campfire (patch at Requiem 1.9.4 Patch Central but I'm hoping that jdsmith will look in to those)Bathing in Skyrim (I don't belive it needs a patch)Other good mods that Darth as in his guide are easy to add without CR needed. I also use Realistic Room Rental Enhanced (the 2 conflicts with LotD are minor and easily solved through the console) I don't think RRR enhanced is incompatible with Requiem, maybe with the rental prices for the rooms. Can anyone confirm this? -

I have to admit that I was shocked when I found out that you had removed ICAIO from the guide. It took me a while to put my thoughts together. Knowing that you give a lot of attention to detail, I'm sure it wasn't a easy decision to make. To be honest if you had ICAIO removed when you first launched the guide I probably wouldn't given it a second chance and would just stick to Darth's guide. But after reading more about Requiem, I was sold! I have read that post at reddit. There's no doubt that the launch of ICAIO was a major event in the modding community and it caused a bit of a "civil war" between ICAIO vs Town Overhauls. For the user all boils down to a choice that is not easy to make. I personally prefer the immersive feeling that the AI from ICAIO gives, giving the citizens more character and realism rather then repetitive, robotic behavior that doesn't change 24/7. I'm happy using Dawn of Skyrim with it as a main cities overhaul, the conflicts are very minor and easy to fix with the console. I will also work on adding other minor overhauls like Better City Entrances and Better Docks to my setup. The towns in skyrim definitely need a little love because they are very empty. In the end, I'm very grateful that you are keeping the guide modular and are kind enough to share the patches you made for ICAIO, officially available on Nexus. That consideration towards the guide users to allow them to make their personal choices is very much appreciated A side note as a suggestion. Have you consider keeping ICAIO in the guide with a link to the patches, with a warning that is not compatible with the City Overhauls section that you will add in the future? That might be useful for new people that might come across the guide to know that they have a choice. -

Also I noted that Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - USLEEP and CRF Patch is missing. Is that intended? -

I'm going through the guide and noticed that Simply Knock is in the Miscellaneous merge. Wasn't that removed from the merge because of some sort of problem? -

@jdsmith Would you consider making a patch for the optional survival mods? The ones that actually need one. There are "just" 4 of them: Bathing, Campfire, Frostfall and iNeed. It would make sense in the scope of this guide because they are part of SRLE Base and the guide list them as optionals but not removed. You probably wouldn't even have to make a patch for Frostfall and Campfire, because they are already included in Requiem patch central, but just make sure they can be used by the users that choose the optional survival mods. -

I don't think that this guide is better then yours. Yours is such a huge step forward from the SRLE base and was a product of a lot of work and dedication for this past year. This new guide is just an evolution from that work that you Paul and others have put for the past few months with the addition of LotD. It's just so nice to see how everything is taking shape since last year. -

The work that you and jd have done is brilliant. I love the modular patching and the optional section that allows to extend the setup according with personal preferences. Not taking any credit away from Neo and Darth that have put a lot of work and sweat in creating the bulk part of these guides -

I will do my own research and testing on RS Children. Also will work on that City and Towns Overhaul and will keep you updated. But first I have to create a SRLExt Req profile. After I saw the 8 demo videos from Brodual on Requiem. I am convinced. It touches so much in game in a consistent way rather then having different mods from different authors covering different aspects. It really is a RPG major overhaul for Skyrim. For the people who are hesitant to start a new game, remember that this guide is based on the already tested and matured SRLExt LotD. In a way there should be less conflicts because Requiem unifies a lot of sections of that guide. If there's anything else that you can think about that might be helpful let me know. -

Are you planning to add RS Children as an optional? If not, what would it take to add it to the SRLExt Req profile? I saw this patch. Is it a matter of just adding RS Children per SRLExt LotD guide including the SRLE Extended LOTD - RS Children Patch, or more is needed? -

No pressure. You have been busy with RL lately, that takes priority. Paul, Are you able to share the JK superlite plus Dawn of skyrim (with patches from both for each other) and the merge you have of the small mod collection on expansions like docks, villages, inns, dungeons? I wouldn't expect any support on that but would like to test it on my own. -

Great! I'm sure you will be a good judge in terms of the sound mods that might be worth adding. The only other thing that I wish, that is missing in my opinion, is something like this. (quoting Paul a few post backs): JK superlite plus Dawn of skyrim (with patches from both for each other) no problems on performance.Plus a merge of few small mod collection on expansions like docks, villages, inns, dungeons(I'm already using Dawn of Skyrim, Better City Entrances and Better Docks but would be nice to see something like that in the guide) For me that would make SRLExt LotD complete. -

Learning a bit more about the CK definitely would help me to determine what a specific FormID is used for. I just downloaded a spreadsheet with some detailed info at Nexus I was looking at the file you shared with the CR for CWO. I like how you do a CR for each conflicting mod and save them separate and then it's easier just to merge them like you mention, by overwriting each CR in TES5Edit. Do you by any chance happen to have Dawn of Skyrim and Hunterborn installed on top of your SRLE LotD? If so do you have similar CR for these? -
SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
edynacio replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That's great! Thank you so much. Yes, I'm using a separate CR patch, I don't want to mess up with the SRLE LotD CR. So what I'm doing is applying the forward records that affect CWO from the old guide first, into my personal CWO CR. Then I will overwrite it with the appropriate patches you just sent me. I understand how to forward conflicting records in TES5Edit but it's scary when you don't know what is a good or a bad conflict. -

edynacio replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I haven't got a chance to actually start a new game with CWO. I'm still struggling in determining what records to forward to the CR. The ones in the old guide are all set but there's other conflicts that I'm not sure. That being said, I would love to see CWO added to the guide. -

The current SRLE LotD CRs are still good to use with Makeovers by Mizzog - The Companions for the users that still have it, right? Just to make sure. -
SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
edynacio replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yes, that was easier. Actually there were a few more records that needed forwarding. I hope I don't regret adding CWO to my new game -

I just looked into the old CR sub guide. It looks like the only record for Civil War Overhaul.com is: Dialog Topic 00039F6C <WICourierDeliveries>\ 00071440 (I have a letter her for you) Conflict Resolution: Use Record from Civil War Overhaul.com then move VMAD - Virtual Machine Adapter from Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp and the Condictions from ForgottenCity.esp Problem Resolved Changes from Civil War Overhaul , The Forgotten City and Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch needed to be merged. Would it be ok just to use this old CR by deleting all records in TES5Edit, except the one mentioned above? I really don't have experience in doing a CR, so maybe this would be a easy way out.
