  1. ummm... actually I don't get the ENB notification
  2. My SKSE.ini seems to be properly configured: [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 [Display] iTintTextureResolution=2048 Memory Blocks Log: logging of blocks enabled logging max values only Timer disabled Block1 Block2 512MB 256MB Using a save game indoors when I step out I can actually see outdoors for a split second and then CTD. My system: Intel Core i7-4790K; GeForce GTX 980 4Gb; 16 Gb RAM
  3. I finaly just installed SRLE. It loads fine with alternate start. I'm choosing start as a patron in a Inn (Riverwood). When I try to go outdoors I have a CTD. Without DynDOLOD selected, everything goes well and I can access outdoors and play normally. Also if I start directly in a outdoors cell I get a CTD. Any clues what might be wrong? The TES5Edit Scripts ran without errors. I also tried to reinstall DynDOLOD and run the scripts but same problem. Thanks
  4. Neo, what are your thoughs on "Art of the Catch"? And what about the upcomming "Last Seed"? Are sticking to iNeed because it's a matured well developed mod. Or would you considered it a substitution for iNeed to keep the 4 survival mods from Chesko?
  5. Just a FYI that might be of use. A major Frostfall update is comming in October. Also the author will be releasing a similar mod to iNeed called Last Seed, in November. He will have 4 main survival mods working togheter (the other two are Art of the Catch and Campfire already released). I'm not sure if Neo is planning to and these changes to SRLE but it's worth waiting and see before starting a new gameplay.
  6. How does Interesting NPC work with SRLE? Any conflicts?
  7. Thanks Kesta, for the clarification.
  8. Wrye Bash instructions at Nexus do say: 'For manual installations of either the Standalone or Python versions, extract the archive in your Skyrim game folder so that the Mopy directory appears in the Skyrim directory" Not sure if there's any particular reason why, but it seems that would be better to follow the instructions from the author.
  9. So it will be ok to instal Wrye Bash in the "tools" directory within the context of SRLE using the standalone executable. That's preferable then adding clutter the game directory.
  10. Yes. I will have Skyrim and MO installed on a SSD, but will keep MO and all other tools, except Wrye Bash, on a seperate folder. I will have MO Downloads on a backup HDD. Thanks for the feedback.
  11. So I'm assuming it's ok to have Mod Organizer installed elsewere other then the Skyrim folder. For some reason I was under the impression that had to be in the Skyrim directory. I'm planning to install it togheter in the "Tools" folder with the other utilities except Wrye Bash. By the way, Neo, thanks a LOT for all the hard work in keeping SR:LE with the latest updates. I've been learning to mod Skyrim for the past year and an half. Started with Nexus then found about STEP. I like how you bring the setup further with great mods doing all the compatibility work. I finally decided in the past couple of months that SRLE is the way to go. Can't wait to experience all the visuals of Skyrim with your setting. Again, thanks a lot
  12. I finally finished building my rig and ready to install SRLE. Mod Organizer is installed in the Skyrim data folder, diferent from the other tools mentioned above?
  13. Thank you Neo for the clear instructions. I was making it more confusing then what it really is. Is it necessary for TES5EDIT, LOOT and Wrye Bashe to be installed in the Skyrim directory?
  14. *How do I keep TES5Edit updated? I'm following SRLE and downloading the xEdit 180815 link on afkmods. I'm assuming to keep it updated when noted on SRLE change log I will have to use the "Thread where I'll be posting the latest updates."link, download the "Edit Scripts" folder and paste it over the old one. Am I doing this correctly? *How do I find what TES5Edit build I have installed? Thank you
  15. Thanks for the replies. The cost would be about extra $130. Does't seem a lot, but will rather use that towards other hardware unless is really worth it. I'm in the process of building a new system that can run STEP Extended (all high quality options in the guide) with the Explorer's, Survival Pack and some mods from Weather and Lighting. I'm hoping to run Skyrim on Ultra. So far this is what I have in mind: i7-4790K 4.0 GHz GIGABYTE GA-Z97N-WIFI Mini-ITX EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256GB SANDISK SSD Read 560MB/s. Write 290MB/s 16GB (8GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (G.SKILL Ripjaws X) The two monitors in question: Acer H257HU 25-Inch LED 2560 x 1440 ($375) vs ASUS MX259H 25-Inch LED 1920 x 1080 ($224) After the info given it seems that 1920 x 1080 would be my choice.
  16. Are 2k textures worth using on a 1920x1080 monitor? Would a 2560 x 1440 monitor be worth the extra expense? (assuming that the system can handle higher resolutions) Thanks
  17. Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to hear that you haven't found any problems with lighting. I'm assuming you aren't using Realistic Room Rental Enhanced due to it's imcompability with ETaC Inns version. I had decided to skip that too. Are you using the ETaC patch for Enhanced Lighting for ENB due to the use of the Inns version? For what I understand STEP only uses the ELE-Interior Lighting features and for that reason that particular patch wouldn't be necessary unless using ETaC Inns version.
  18. Thank you for the sugestion. I looked into TES5Edit for conflicts. For what I understand you open the mods in question with TES5Edit. Select a particular Record under the mod and look under the messages tab to see if it's referenced by the 2 mods. I found a few with Relighting Skyrim and JK's, but don't know how will they affect the gameplay. If it's just a override shouldn't be a problem, but if it affects the look of the area in a "weird" way then that would be an issue. Also I understand that Relighting Skyrim is supposed to affect only the "lightbulbs" in the "Worldspace" if I'm correct.
  19. Are ETaC (no Inns) and JK's Skyrim (major cities) compatible with Relighting Skyrim and Enhanced Lighting for ENB (per STEP configuration)? I've spent a considerable time looking in the Nexus forums for these 4 mods but couldn't find a definite answer. I'm planning to add REGS pack on top of STEP 2.2.9.1 Extended. I just want to make sure I won't get any moderate to major conflicts with it. I'm also curious if anyone has tried them together.
  20. Nevermind, I just realized that you give links to additional resources in the end of Hardware guide
  21. That's the conclusion I'm getting. When I bought my system a couple years ago I thought the specs by themselves would've been sufficient but apparently all-in-one pc's are not the best option for gaming. I'll be reading STEP hardware guide and considering building or buying a mini tower (I'm limited with space). Any good online places to start other then Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect? Thanks
  22. I followed your direction. This is what I'm getting with STEP Extended (baseline quality) Honningbrew Meadery = 22-24 FPS vs 18-21 FPS Outside Honningbrew Meadery (looking into the distance with Whiterun to the right) = 14-16 FPS (no major changes, although with vanilla there was a significate improvement of 24-25 FPS vs 14-16 FPS In front of Whiterun Doors (up the hill, looking into the further away landscape) = 15-16 FPS vs 6-8 FPS. This is were I noted the biggest improvement. The only enb files I have in my Skyrim folder are: d3d9.dll, enbhost.exe, endlocal.ini, enbseries.ini Here are the currect settings for enb: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 VideoMemorySizeMb=3746 EnableCompression=true AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false [WINDOW] ForceBorderless=true ForceBorderlessFullscreen=true [ENGINE] ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true MaxAnisotropy=16 ForceLodBias=false LodBias=0.0 AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=false EnableVSync=true VSyncSkipNumFrames=0 (Doesn't seem that this issue has to do with STEP 2.2.9.1, I probably should start a new post under the troubleshooting post?)
  23. Ok it doesn't seem that this problem has to do with STEP setup. I lauched the game with as Vanilla baseline and I'm getting 20FPS Outside Honningbrew Meadery. Not a huge improvement from the 14-16FPS with STEP. It just seems that I should be getting way more then that.
