  1. Lordofla hi! Thank you for your suggestions, as i had this issue awhile back in one of my builds and yes Ruins clutter needs to be loaded and over written by Smim, to avoid the black rectangular blocks on candles. But with this guide we are only seeking to use the textures for puzzle doors etc and hence DO NOT have the .esp loaded. You will see further in the guide this same principle is used for better textures to overwrite poorer ones and their esp's are hidden accordingly. It is always great to have feed back as that way we all learn and better our modding experience....at present in my play through with this guide, i too don't have any problems with candles. Anyway best regards
  2. FallenKnighte hi! You are NOT THE FIRST OR BE THE LAST to have misread instructions...we all have had to face slap/head palm and Darth, Sweet Lady Lexy, and our reclusive Leader Nozzer, have had to have the patience of Job (and no not Steve the apple man)
  3. Some feed back Lexy: QUOTESeveral visual effects and shaders which can be erroneously attached to the player should now be prevented from doing so. In addition, an object has been added in the Temple of Kynareth to enable the removal of any effects which manage to bypass our protections. (DLC1DeathHoundFX, DLC1SoulCairnAbFXKeeperHead, DLC1SoulCairnAbFXKeeperHeadWithHelmet, DLC1SoulCairnAbFXSkeletonNecro, DLC1SoulCairnAbFXSkeletonNecroSummon, DLC1AbFXMothpriestThrallEffect1, DLC1AbFXMothpriestThrallEffect2, AbNightmare, DLC1AbFXForgemasteCenturion, DLC1SoulCairnAbGhost, AbFXSprigganEarthMother) AbFXAtronachFrost was missed in the fixes for effects that can get stuck on the player. This should now be prevented from attaching to the player like the others. It is also now removable at the shrine in the Temple of Kynareth. Blackpete and Madcat pointed this out to me from change log of USLEEP regarding the visual cleansing shrine
  4. Lexy another possible slot saver is the removal of Lock Overhaul..why: I'm using Ordinator Perks for the first time, and if you train up (yes its one of the higher perks) there is a perk called seen it before(if i remember correctly)...it allows you to either pick a lock or bypass it and thus would make the aforementioned mod redundant...but again only when you have reached that level of lock picking. I suppose though if you play as a warrior or mage its mute as you won't train in that school. I'm not saying drop it, but should you need space a possibility.....odd duck that i am who's thinking is.. if I'm playing i love to train in ALL schools and worth remembering if need to build again
  5. Thanks Lexy yes i will contact Arthmoor and see what he says. I have Jaxonz positioner installed in my game and have for awhile..mainly because i use Palaces and Castles Enhanced by SetteLisette and there are minor conflicts with Snazzy Furniture and Clutter Overhaul, and whilst I'm not good with CK in resolving these conflicts (mainly things need re positioning), with Jaxonz its easy to do so. Prior to your fix Lexy in CR awhile back, people were querying the position of SUT chest on top of a fire burner on the top of the watch tower where you discover you are Dragonborn, with this tool i was able to fix it in game...so for me it's worth a slot, but that's me a strange duck hey ho
  6. Ok guys and gals I'm curious on something i have come across in game that i haven't noticed before. I was in the temple of Kynareth in Whiterun and by the priestess bed/ dresser is a shrine that looks like a Kynareth shrine. Only it states its a visual cleaning shrine. In console, mfg points it at USLEEP mod that's added it, but cannot find any info regarding this on usleep nexus page...Does anybody know what this is and does?
  7. Jabrutehi! Ok so you are cutting and pasting the FNIS_PCE2 folder FROM Realistic Animation Project INTO THE FNIS PCE2 - Player Exclusive Animations dynamic folder (Meshes/actors/character/animations) and when done, removing all folders bar those mentioned in the guide or you can double click FNIS PCE2 - Player Exclusive Animation folder, go to filetree, and navigate through meshes until you get to the pasted in folder, open and right click folders to be removed and set as "hidden"...MO hides these folders as though they are not there much the same as "option" folder for .esps
  8. Jabrute hi! Bathing with my followers would be difficult as i don't have any and vanilla ones i leave at home..no offense taken cheeky get( only teasing), purple faces had me laughing ya that's a good one...as to the read me's i think it has to do with space wasting"Saving spaces will become an issue as we load more mods into the game." as read on prerequisite page. Many people have ssd drives that when first came out, had limited space on them and space was an issue. If you have a drive with plenty of space, it wouldn't be an issue...besides if you need to read up on a mod, the nexus page is there
  9. Not a problem Lexy, just a minor observation whilst wondering around the world of Skyrim. I do believe EFF command/talk does bring up about bathing, but Lydia merely grunts (ha!) as those to say..."You telling me i stink, really stink ..want me to rearrange your face", but reading this sounds more like Rocky Balboas voice inside my head, as opposed to Lydias voice.....men are all alike from Hammerfell to....
  10. So here is a dumb question..with bathing settings in the MCM, we set npc's to mirror the players settings i.e shower= standing; bathing= mixed..which makes sense but HAS ANYONE seen any npc's bathing/showering in game? Am i missing something....sitting with chin in the palm of ones hand..pondering the meaning of life PS With immersive horses MCM menu, for some reason when i set the dismount key as reflected in the guides, it will not allow that option..changes to all others bar dismount..which has not happened before, any thoughts?
  11. Lexy i mentioned this when the suggestions tab was open, as we use a few of this mod authors mods and deals with puzzle doors etc:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65959/? , so thought here's a one mod solution...as you see fit (Little Things by ramccoid)
  12. Jabrute hi! I cannot say specifically what has caused your font size to be smaller, but i had a similar problem when i used Nvidia Experiance optimize my game from 1920 x 1080 to its recommendation of 2715 x 1527 dsr. The general look on computer was a little smaller but in game under console i needed magnifying glass to read text. Reverting back to normal resolution fixed it for me. I'm not saying this is your issue but check your resolution and try changing different settings, or try uninstalling xedit and reinstalling after restarting computer...just little suggestions to try and help
  13. Lexy i don't see it being a problem per say i.e if people wish to store things in a chest etc outside of their homes(breezeholm etc) or house mods, then this option is fine in that it makes it safe. For me i learnt the hard way not to store things outside of safe chest(generally in homes), so this option for me is thus redundant and if as per Baronaata has pointed out that EFF makes your pack mules safe, then this option is pointless...you may just place a note under dynamic mod that this option is not needed but if people wish to use it so be it..best regards...now i hear that sweet lullaby whisper of my bed calling "come hither time for sweet dreams"
  14. I found this interfered with safe houses chests etc which are by default safe..hence why you can store stuff in. I just open MCM menu and deactivate safe storage option
  15. Aegon18 hi! As Lexy has said, if you have started a game don't start changing things. The NO1 rule of modding is to never remove mods when playing mid game. There are exceptions i.e LOTD that has upgrades will have very clear instructions on what scripts need to be removed from your save..providing you know what you are doing and are confident to do so. Texture mods and only textures can be changed. It may seem as through you have got away with it updating etc, but somewhere along the line it will catch up. Here is what you need to know and understand...Skyrim bakes information into your save and every time you start the game the engine is seeking that information. It start from the time you first press the button to start a new game. All mods you have are "Baked" into the save, and changing, upgrading that removes info causes the game to seek out the removed info which eventually leads to ctd because it cannot find it. This is my understanding and others may have more info...but safe to say..IF YOU HAVE STARTED A GAME CONTINUE OR UPDATE AND START A NEW GAME
  16. Lexy hi! Just a small pointer...on your Wrye Bash idiot check, LOTD Patch needs invent tag to stay consistent with guide
  17. OneCowardlyLion hi! To clarify, when you deactivate the mods merged, do you mean you have unticked the mod in the left pane or do you mean the .esps that are merged are moved into the option pane when you double click on the mods i.e Animals merge..once all the required esps are merged, then they need to move into the option pane in there said mods. The mods themselves stay ticked unless they are greyed out in the left pane. Some times the merge doesn't copy properly and the original mod still needs to be ticked for the game to read properly (if i remember correctly DSAMG -Dragon Soul Absorb More Glorious is a case in point). When you run bash patch, the mods it deactivate remain deactivated in the right pane only as they are merged/bashed into the patch. This is how i understand it..... Lexy having now read your reply which you ninjaed me with....the mods merged in the left pane ARE UNTICKED, i just want to be sure
  18. Lexy sweetness: Just a query....."If the driver is handling Vsync make sure EnableVSync is set to false in the enblocal.ini file and iPresentInterval is set to 0 in the Skyrim.ini file." The iPresentInterval for me is in SkyrimPrefs i.n.i...do we need to add this to the Skyrim.ini. I vaguely remember this was mentioned on S.T.E.P guide many a year ago, but not sure if this is right..i.e the game puts it in the wrong ini file Not to worry found the reference on step guide and now have it in right place..how i missed this before tsk, tsk, tsk
  19. OneCowardlyLion hi! If you are up to it and want to give it a go..try https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Explorers_Guide. It works, but you will have to pick your mods carefully to work with this guide..IT WORKS, as i have some in my present build...Please be aware that any problems you may encounter you will need to fix yourself or seek help on regs page...i really appreciate the work done there to work along side this and other guides...BUT IT'S UP TO YOU...best luck and regards Berndaroy...now bed time
  20. If people still want a reason to mine then https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/84307/?, is a good reason to still mine and still gain some pleasure from it...Sorry Lexy ignore already in guide already been a VERY LONG DAY!!!
  21. Dele hi! With Skyrim you can expect ctd once in a while no matter how clean, or no errors your game might have..it just the nature of the game/ limitation of the engine. As mentioned before LOOT is great tool but we use it to lay a base as it were and then hand place mods that are needed to load later...Hence Darth load order. If you are using every mod that Darth uses then you can download his profile txt and paste into your MO profile and press the yellow arrow symbol above the right pane, and it will load your mods accordingly
  22. You have my vote on this one Lexy
  23. Sucker for punishment comes to mind : Yes! she does like to put herself through the grinder, ALL FOR THE LOVE SHE HAS FOR US : Side note it was Dyndolod output generator esp
  24. Lexy and JD ta! Will give it a go...pure long shot. Are there any mods that you know of that add solely Load Screen Scenes. Bit tired of same old scenes. Now to track down the mod with a Skyrim cow with multi colours and caption of "maaaaah, i eat your first born(or similar)..i would say Dyndolod but this is just recent, and not in the original merged mod. He goes off to the sound of "Private eye, still watching you, watching your every move..."
