  1. I use *mostly* ultra settings and SMAA / AF. I personally use Ruvaak Dahmaan ENB Redone, my personal favorite on the nexus. The main difference is definitely our respective resolutions...I run at 1920x1080. 5918x1080 seems like a rather odd resolution, to be honest. For INI files I reccomend checking out EWI's Prefs, you can find them in the download page of RealVision ENB. That memory usage is also pretty crazy... definitely try lowering the res like Tech said.
  2. Honestly I think you're more than fine to use 2k textures. With 4gb vram medium I wouldn't worry too much. I don't think you're aiming to high at all either, your system looks more than capable imo :)
  3. Are you using an ENB? I run a modified step with 2k textures, dyndolod on high and an ENB and my frames are usually in the 50s or capped at 60. This is with a single 780 ti and a i5 4690k OC'd to 4.4Ghz. Also what kind of FPS are you expecting? 40-50 sounds great to me, most people are going to dip down a little in taxing areas.
  4. Nexus link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69528/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D69528%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D3205904&pUp=1 This mod simply adds an MCM menu that displays information about your character that is otherwise hidden from the player. I've always hated having to use the console to display information that should be more readily available. From the mod's page: "Intuition displays statistics through an MCM that are mostly hidden from player view, allowing you to see information such as attribute regeneration rates, weight ratio, elemental resistances, weapon base damage and DPS, weapon range, etc. This gives you the ability to optimize your statistical loadout for combat and other relative scenarios. The displayed stats are actually show at real time, so for example if you used a stamina regen potion you can check the menu to see exactly how much your stamina regen has increased while under the effect." Looks really useful if it functions as advertised. I've yet to try it personally, but I thought it looked really interesting. What do you think?
  5. From the mod's page ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62269/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D62269%26preview%3D&pUp=1 ): "This mod makes the first-person idle animation for greatswords less static by using the same animation as the warhammers and two-handed axes. You can see it in action in the "videos" section." Holding a two-handed sword is unrealistically static in the vanilla game. If you're holding a big sword in your hands, you're gonna be swaying it a little bit rather than holding it perfectly still. This mod provides a clever fix to this annoying problem. This video shows it beautifully Anyway, thought I would post this because this mod is underappreciated IMO.
  6. Would anyone mind giving directions on how to go about doing this? I removed all the records from EnhancedBlood-ImprovedCombatSounds.esp that were in the STEP Extended Patch but my sounds are not working properly. How else is Improved Combat Sounds tied to the Extended Patch? Update: figured it out. Not sure how to delete my post =S
  7. The school of magic symbols on the robes look great, but they do require an ESP file. The without schools of magic version does not however.
  8. Hi folks, hoping someone can help me determine the origin of this annoying torch problem I'm having. Here's a link to the problem I'm having: https://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll118/Hitman4lyfe/enb%202015_09_04%2013_28_09_24.png As you can see there are some weird white lines around my torch. Also, it seems to disappear when my ENB is disabled. Curiously there are no lines around any other types of fire (i.e. magic, campfires, etc.). Does anyone know what's causing it? I've heard AA can cause a similar problem, but I have it turned off and am using SMAA. Any help is much appreciated. Edit: just noticed there are lines around my fire spells too. >.<
  9. After giving this mod a try I do have a couple of gripes. First being that your hand is very stiff when holding the torch with a weapon drawn - it doesn't sway or anything. Secondly, the way the torch is clutched in the hand looks a little awkward to me. Still, I think this is a fantastic mod and will probably keep it in my loadorder despite these minor gripes. edit: looks like the lack of movement is a vanilla bug and not a result of this mod. The awkwardness is also a vanilla problem...so ignore my gripes :)
  10. will check it out, thanks hishutup
  11. Hi friends, I have STEP installed (plus a few other goodies) and couldn't help notice that skyrim's prison cell doors, including the rest of the cell parts look super low-res and blurry. I've searched for an hd retuxture to no avail. Does anyone have any recommendations? Perhaps someone might know of a mod that can fix this low res abomination? Thank ya <3 here's a screenshot of the texture I'm referring to: https://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/skyrim.gamepedia.com/thumb/b/b2/Cage.png/300px-Cage.png?version=fede61c677dbb9f6ba0ab48005a3bc12
  12. This mod supposedly fixes the script issues caused by the late step mod Roosters at Dawn. I don't have access to my PC at the moment (getting new flooring put in my office) so I haven't had an opprotunity to test and see if the errors in the papyrus log have really been eliminated as the author states. Anyway, I thought this one kind of flew under the radar and decided to post it here. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66337/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D66337%26preview%3D&pUp=1
  13. My mistake, it was only green in Geheiligt's double rainbow screenshot. It's the narrow bar above the compass in your screens. It seems to change colors in your screens, too (though it's usually some shade of blue). Maybe it's a health bar for a companion? Anyway I was just curious :p
  14. These are some truly mesmerizing screenshots...SR:LE makes for a breathtaking experience. On a side note, Mind if I ask what mod the little green bar above the compass is from? I don't recognize it. EDIT: Also the crescent moon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Where's that from?
  15. Very informative, thanks! I guess I'll have to mull it over.
  16. Right now I'm running with v.1.2.18. Is it advised to upgrate to the latest beta version of MO or should I stay with my current version until it's more stable? Thanks. :)
  17. Good question, I'd like to know this as well.
  18. Thanks for the help! However the issue remains with even with both lens and bloom disabled. Really not sure what the culprit is. Like I said, all other torches are fine, only the sconces are bright. Weird. Also I have no mod that alters the base brightness of torches. I am using Ruvaak Dahmaan ENB Redone.
  19. Hi, I have this issue with my current ENB that I do not know how to fix. I have attached a screenshot below depicting the problem. Basically torches on wall sconces are extremely bright. Does anyone know which setting needs to be adjusted to alleviate this problem? Thank you! <3 screenshot: https://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll118/Hitman4lyfe/enb%202015_05_06%2016_39_28_86.png
  20. Before I had a decent rig I used Stakado Cinemascope ENB (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15425/?). It's based on v0.108 and its fps cost is basically nonexistant. You've probably already heard of it, though; it's been around for a while.
  21. Hi there, I have a quesition about Improved Closedfaced Helmets and Weapons and Armor Fixes. On the Improved Closedfaced Helmets page, it says the following under recommendations: Download and install the "Improved Closefaced Helmets (Legendary Edition)". Only the "meshes" folder is needed from this mod, so the plugin from this mod should not be loaded. The plugin from Weapons and Armor Fixes will be used instead. However, the STEP instructions for Weapons and Armor Fixes says to select 'none' under the Improved Closedfaced Helmets option. Doing so makes helmets affected by ICH invisible when worn. I fixed the issue by checking the option for Improved Closedface Helmets under Weapons and Armor Fixes (thus installing imp_helm_legend.esp). Is STEP incorrect? Or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your help!
  22. Hi folks, I am a bit confused with regards to the loot meta rules. For example, take the following meta rule: Meta Rule Instructions RealisticWaterTwo.espLoad after: HearthfireChimneys.esp Okay, so based on this rule, which would be correct? 1. HearthfireChimneys.esp should be loaded after RealisticWaterTwo.ESP -or- 2. Load RealisticWaterTwo.ESP after HearthfireChimneys.esp. I'm thinking #1 is correct, but I'm not certain. Anyone care to enlighten me? Thanks.
