  1. Do we know it doesn't already show out of space error? This should be windows functionality but as the problem in this case was wrong FoMod installer no lack of space error was even triggered. The space was made before FoMod installer was changed. Before reporting this it should be tested for actual lack of space error. Slight clarification to rootsrat's Information, further information not corrections. His advice is good. The Mod Name and folder name are always the same. Changing one changes both. Mods are always installed by Nexus ID number so whatever name you use if Nexus ID is same as an already installed Mod it is overwritten by default. Most of the time this is what's required for an update, To change this simply give the Mod a different name and it will be installed as a different Mod. A BSA can be elevated to equal status with Loose Files by ticking the tick box on BSA Tab when this is done only Profile Priority Order decides conflict winner's.
  2. My Main Problem is the restrictions the PvP war imposes, as I said this is my personal reasons for losing interest, not intended as why it will or will not fail. The limitations of race mix and territory are purely because of the PvP war what TES Online means to me is RPG Adventure gaming this is severely limited by the PvP war. They initially sold it as not an MMO. Until developers come up with Online games where PvP is not an end in itself they will continue to fail to last. I want a game where I'm never sure if my enemy is Player or NPC this would provide a unique experience. The Basics I gave could apply to any Fantasy RPG. I speak as someone who values a natural type of playstyle without all the WoW copied rubbish. They have tried to TES it up, but thats bolted onto the MMO Core. Traditional MMO players are getting tired of this sort of thing and no new players are Joining. If they had taken the opposite approach of making an Online Elder Scrolls they said they were going to do. I would have been interested. Basically the war puts to much emphasis on turn Left for PvP right for PvE and all other directions are blocked, I don't want that sort of hand holding. Even the war wasn't the final blow, the Race and area restrictions were. None of that was neccassry just typical MMO mindset. The whole philosophy is opposite to what they should have done. Ignoring the modding community which as well established as it is would have provided plenty of extra content for players, which is exactly what online games are always short of, the server example I give is a simple and safe way that most content including highjer levels of graphics coulds be produced long term at very little cost. Consoles are always going to hold PC gaming back if PC gamers allow it. It does not have to be that way anymore, if game publishers won't give PC gamers what we deserve we and developers can cut them out of the process and fund the games collectively. I doubt Bethesda will follow that root as they are owned by Zenimax, but others are. I'd rather give a developer the money to make a game I want to play, than pay double the amount to a publisher for them to take 90% of the money. That way the developers can make the game we both want. Just take a look at Star Citizen to see what crowd funding can do, $33,000,000+ ($33 Million) and still rising. All that is already funded not promised, this is the future of PC gaming, where we decide what games we want and pay what we think it deserves of our money. Too often publishers interfere out of fear of not making money, I reject there fear driven decisions and will decide myself what games I want to back. A typical example Cyan of Myst Fame developed Uru Live as a online game back before Morrowind, It was intended as an online game all along. Ubisoft the publisher then released 80% of the Online content as a single player game, still promising the online version as well for those who bought the single player game, then cancelled the online version when a lot of fans held off waiting for online to start. the game was ready for release but they cancelled it at last minute. Years later it emerged that the cancel decision was made before the Single Player version was made and in fact that was why it was made. Cyan have never really recovered but after stuggling along making myst remakes for phones and other platforms are now making a new Game using Crowdfunding. In fact lots of developers of great old games are finding it possible to make the game they want only by crowdfunding them. All PC gamers should seriously consider funding the games they want to see, you also get something in return for your money. the game is main thing but you can get added rewards for more money funded, it's your choice.
  3. I began this as a reply to "ESO Beta" thread, but it's not about the Beta . It's the entire game. First let me make clear this is about my expectations and Zenimax's failure to match their initial stated goals as expressed back when they first announced Elder Scrolls Online. It is not about whether or not the released game is a failure or success. Honestly, I don't care at all. ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) not ESMMO (Elder Scrolls Massive Multiplayer Online) is basically the problem as it was promoted both in name and in fact as Elder Scrolls Online, not another MMO, but something new and innovative. What that Means for Me Explore the whole TES (The Elder Scrolls) Universe (Eventually using new content updates, Tamriel at launch of game).Ability to be any race in any place you choose without restrictions (Specific set starts only if random within chosen region is impossible). It's a feudal society higher ranks are NPC only, commoners (all players) are restricted politically, This is how it is, ability will only go so far, never over the glass ceiling. Those changes are rare and happen over generations, if the family is not knocked down.Cities and Major Roads are Empire protection zones with local "Kings" controlling regional Towns and roads. "Lords" to village level. No Safe Zones, but very dangerous to break the law, all three could be hunting lawbreakers. All State territories are ridiculously expensive to own property in, even with noble patronage when it's cheaper but never much cheaper as nobles live off the extortion of wealthy commoners, most residents rent a small room or part of one.In reality even though they claim to rule all Tamriel at most they control 5%, the rest is what players explore, at start everywhere is an NPC dominated PvE system where only random in same place and time PvP happens. As any place is cleared it can be occupied. This creates set piece PvP dynamically increasing with time with some limits. Larger Ruins and Dungeons kept for PvE reasons and will never be fully cleared.Voice communication is in game hearing range only, everybody in hearing range includes the enemy, so shouting has bigger range than a whisper. In game language distortion would mean it can heard, but not understand if that language is not spoken.Combining this with the bigger the group the more attention they attract with ultimate result being The Empire deciding you're a threat and destroying the group.Ideally optimum group size is 4 to 8 players, where smaller groups use stealth tactics to avoid larger forces that optimum size can meet head on.Increasing size beyond optimum will increase the threat posed to local powers, resulting in ever increasing effort to eliminate the threat.Eventually the group will be reduced to a no more threat size, either by attrition or common sense survival need.I could go on giving further details of an ideal game, but the core is enough and to summarise. If it's not in world it's not allowed at all, no radios means hearing range communicaton only. In game Guilds and Alliances only with no gaming guild advantages over independants. What it Doesn't Mean for Me (The Flaws and Lack of Vision) The player's group is restricted to 3 out of 10 races and a third of available territory, Cyrodill's race, the Imperials don't even exist at all, never will this restriction change. The war over Cyrodill is the worst thing they could have done ever. Only massive Keeps can be owned and only by real world guilds. This is how the Emperor will be decided by real world politics of gaming guilds not even ingame abilities. The whole game is based on this artificial war on the assumption that players want to be the Emperor. I know people might wish they could be the Emperor or Jarl, the reality is it would be useless as a part of a RPG The main role would be telling others what to do, not actually doing it. That is a strategic power game not a RPG.Skyrim's civil war was not the same thing, that was a lone operative role with strategy the Jarls responsibility. The main problem is this is nothing to do with TES and is pure MMO PvP based crap shoot where what Real World Guild a player belongs to is more important than anything iin game. All game mechanics are distorted by this system and it ruins adventure and exploring RPG elements with the restrictions imposed. It is the take no risks mentality the safe and well trodden path, no innovation here.First person mode is included, but the way it was done says it's a bolt on to an existing MMO game (It will be in the game later, not we built the game around it).Combat again is Elder Scrolls Like but very limited, Accepted thaat the game cannot be frozen to select spells, potions, switch weapons and change into that special armour. 5 or 8 Hotkeys (Think it's 5 but whichever) though is ridiculous, if I know 50 spells I need many hotkeys for them not guess what I will need.I could go on with further bullet points, but I'd lost the enthusiasm this initially instilled in me by now, it's just another MMO mass battle PvP game and all TES features appear to be bolted onto that base MMO package as window dressing neccessary only to convince TES fans to pay for subscriptions. This is not ESO it's pure MMO and definitely not adventuring with friends, more Huge battles with strangers. The PvE there is left is Pure PvE and never will they meet. Some more observations of the defenders of this game, no surprise to me most defenders are MMO players and most critics are TES Players. Common defense "You can't do that it's a MMO, that can't be done in a MMO" My response: There are no rules that can't be broken, it's more a matter of vision and determination to compolete that vision, not yet been done doesn't mean can't. Typical examples; You Can't Mod MMO - You Can't have good graphics on MMO's. My response: Day-Z a "Mod" for Arma 2 manasged about 1 Million online users and take a look at what Star Citizen is doing with graphics. There not MMO's they don't count My response: a million users for one mod of a game is pretty massive Multiplayer in my book and I think you'll find they was online as well, but even if I accepted they weren't MMO's that's fine as well I don't want to play on your MMO I just want to play TES online taking nothing at all from your MMO's I don't like and don't play them. I can solve to both Mods and Graphics by using the same thing which isn't new or particularly innovative just very practical. Graphics of MMO's are usually rubbish for one reason, the lowest common denominator approach, which is whats the worst system that we want the game to run on. Thats the graphics sorted. Simply providing different servers for different quality graphics would solve this problem and the same goes for mods there can be a vanilla never touched server, one for approved Mods, Stable, Released, Beta, Alpha, Experimental Servers. Combining these two separate server tiers Graphics and Mods can solve all possible combinations and provide an additional source for new cvontent that can be fully tested before selective inclusion into approved servers, most mod serrvers could be comminity run with just the top few tiers controlled by game makers. Before someone says, but it's one big mega server I'll respond to that now Well actually no it's not Already I know of three "Mega Servers", PC and Mac; XBox 1; Playstation 4That's automatically 3 Levels of System Graphics ability PC and Mac (the best you can get is roughly 3 times better than Playstation 4 and about 5 times better than XBox 1)Playstation 4 (Consnsus is ability is about 1.5 times XBox 1)XBox 1 ( the weakling unless Wii U is counted in for ESO it's not)The reason that the consoles can't match even PC's with the same hardware as them, never mind PC's can have better hardware, even with same graphics consoles don't have enough power. They aer limited to only 300W for entire system while PC's draw whatever is required, which can be for example 250W for a single card and about 750W for the entire System. Multiple cards increase this, My 2 Card System has 1200W power supply, though I can sqeeze another card in with that power. More importantly I'm discussing what could and should be done not what is being done. Many more examples could be given but this is becoming slightly more than a quick response. Not a Wall of Text, Just the foundations, when you see one of my well built solid walls you will understand, this is just a basic supporting structure for a real wall to stand on! You may agree with me or not but this is my reasons for being hugely dissapointed and let down from the intial enthusiasm that was instilled by ESO Now the fire is out and all thats left is a Mass Battle in ESMMO. I will not be joining any side in this totally unLOREful triumvirate of so called Allies.
  4. That include Beta as first post implied you had invite for this weekend?
  5. Seriously ? Ignoring any A > B < PC debate, bottom line is it's your choice. I mean, your console is not going anywhere and will be there after weekend is over. ESO Beta will not be there after weekend. If I cared about this MMO (Not right thread for why I don't) then new console would have to wait until weekend was over.
  6. Thanks for the tip. I've used it in the past 4+ years ago and back then the AV was way to picky and I got a lot of false positives. All AV's are to picky, for example I use a very Useful ToolWSCC (Windows System Control Center) Described on the Site as Most have heard of SysInternals (Process Explorer etc)Not as Many know Nirsoft another prolific tool maker of equally useful utilities. This program downloads both packages in full or as few as you wish and updates all with one button click again fully selectable. Also runs many of Windows System32 tools with built in Console for command prompt tools. Administrative Tools and Windows Services access too all in one very useful package. I recommend trying this, it's very useful, as those two suites are a pain to update without this. Back on topic AV always try to block Nirsoft Password Tools and others so using this it's easier to exempt what I install and I always set to learn system for a while. I totally exempt Storage HDD. With right security on browsr as well NoScript AdBlock, I only use On Access AV anyway and never had a true positive from any AV lots of tools are virus / malware only if I'm not using them. I usually am using, so it's working as I want. Most folks dont know a virus can be just a archived EXE the AV can't scan and panic at phoney alarm. Using Comodo it protects running system with Defense+ which as I said auto Sandboxes unknowns, annoying while learning the system as even with learn mode stuff isn't all used. A few days in learning gets most used programs. I like free stuff that works well.
  7. Right now your post is here first to repeat SkSE info I put in PM to you (Benefit of Other Readers) and better explained now I'm not working. SkSE Scripts need to be a separate mod. Open SkSE Archive and create either .7Z, .Zip or .RAR from the contents of it's Data folder, which is the "Scripts" folder. Naming suitably, for Example; SkSE v1.6.16 Scripts.7Z Saving the Archive if you want to, in case it's required in the future. Install Scripts archive as normal mod. Delete the SkSE's Data folder, as it's not required now it's a Mod. Rest of SkSE goes in Skyrim main folder as usual, Default is; C:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim\ SkSE is then installed, Mod Organized Style. Automatic Variants SkyProc Mod so Java dependant. It does work but needs more care than average mod. If after running AV you get an Overwrite warning, or you just dont know where the new AV made files are they almost certainly will be in Overwrite Folder (Mod Organizer Temp Folder). They get left here if Mod Organizer isn't told where to put them, You must then move them manually to correct Mod Folder (The AV Mod you patched). Do this and all should work. The above answer is basic "How to fix only" for those who want Technical Answer (Still Ordinary Language explanation which only assumes good practical Knowledge of PC) See; MO's Overwrite Directory -- Behavior and Technical Details I know the Author and am confident he knows as much about the subject as I do. EBT is I assume Enhanced Blood Textures by dDefinder 62-Visuals and Graphics-60 Check for New Update EBT (Enhanced Blood Textures) v3·5c by dDefinder [12th November 2013] 62-Visuals and Graphics-60 Is latest it has just been updated and no mention of Mod Organizer in FAQ's. EBT (Enhanced Blood Textures) v3·5a by dDefinder [9th June 2013] 62-Visuals and Graphics-60 Checked this ReadMe and no mention here. So try updating if this is mod you mean.
  8. You can Make a Docs folder for them on your Storage Drive, Putting all Docs for Mods Installed in it, if you wish. Working on usual assumption that your Game Drive is SSD and Data Storage HDD, Docs should not be on valuable SSD space you may need every byte. I have Dedicated 500GB SSD for Games and 256GB OS SSD with 7TB (7,168GB) Storage HDD. SSD is much to valuable to store data on. All my Mod Organizer Archive Files are on HDD, to save space for games, Gaming SSD is still Full even at that size. OS has room for games yet though, so no need for rationing yet or swapping out for play today game, that or another SSD being needed will come soon enough, modding games means many are not play and throw away type.
  9. Have you got Archive Invalidation fixed because you will not get anywhere until you do. See my reply to your 1st post on subject Please respond to that post with yes or no so others can benefit as well as you. Also if it was not fixed then more help can be given.
  10. Firstly, not enough info to provide useful support. So we must start at beginning, make new profile with just vanilla and start game with Mod Organizer and report results. Results determine next step.
  11. I think you're wrong about this being on Skyrim Engine. 11th December is not a release date, just a future game announcement. Bethesda would be committing a huge mistake by using 32-bit Engine even if 11/12/13 was a release. Next-Gen is here and no AAA game can ignore it unless a pure PC game. A pure PC game can ignore consoles only with CrowdFunding as Star Citizen has been. It is only way PC gamers will get the games their PC's and they deserve, probably require switching to Linux as well using Steam backing. Otherwise MS and Sony will use console exclusives to dominate market. This is what Steam is fighting against and I'm not a Steam fan just a PC gamer.
  12. If you've followed the steps recommended above then what is Mod Organizer saying about python. Click on red triangle icon. If it's greyed out look under left side icon with down arrow (Ini Settings Icon). If Configurator is present then Python is working. Usually you don't set anything in Mod Organizer it is all automatic.
  13. This is only 2 day old thread and if IE settings have no effect Tannin is probably going to have to "fix it" even though an IE bug. They may fix is many Bought programs are affected too. @wolverine Comodo have Ice Dragon a Firefox port it has a virtual browser, I believe it's a sandbox. There's a Chrome Dragon as well. The Comodo Internet Suite (Free) definitely will run any program sandboxed. It does so by default for unknown software.
  14. Deleting original archives is one of Gopher's bad habits that many copy as is download to desktop which encourages this approach. With huge size of modern hard drives keeping the downloaded archive makes more sense mainly so any deletions on Nexus don't deny you of that must have mod.
  15. Possibly IE is starting the second download automatically, I don't use IE so can't tell you where to look or even if download/open extension .??? with... function exists for IE. Worth checking if it does exist.
  16. Mod Organizer is not "Standard" on Nexus I assume you mean, because Nexus want you to use their NMM. An inferior product that will get worse not better. Why? Simply because they want it to manage all Nexus Games and the more games it works for the less it will do. Only features that work for all games will be prioritised. As many different game engines are used only basic functions will work on all. Mod Organizer works for one engine and only 4 games that use the engine and all made by Bethesda so very similar, even with that only Skyrim is fully developed for in reality. Only if bugfixes are required for them do other games get attention, mostly if it works for Skyrim it works for all. Nexus is worried Next Generation Bethesda games will be only moddable on Steam with a new 64-bit engine. Worse than that even, is if console exclusive game is a possibility. They know that even if Bethesda Development Team want a freely moddable game, Zenimax make the decisions and only on Profitability. Zenimax call the shots so the chance of this happening is greater than ever. Nexus wil be trying to compete with Desura if this occurs. They won't say so but I'm convinced this is their stratagy for the worst case outcome. You can't really blame them, if they did nothing and then lost Next Big Bethesda Title likely to be 64-bit Fallout Game, they would have nothing to fall back on, as the old games are not enough.
  17. I bought Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition and Fallout; New Vegas Ultimate Edition in Halloween Discount Sale about 3 week ago. The Default Settings are now Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition steam://rungameid/22370 Fallout; New Vegas Ultimate Edition steam://rungameid/22380 These are the paths of the Desktop Shortcuts Steam Made the Steam AppID is just the Number. This is the All DLC's AppID as well I believe.
  18. Right I've Just figured this out you have a missing Ini Setting. My Oblivion Archive Invalidation was greyed out. You need to check both the Default Location. In C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Oblivion.Ini And for every profile which is accessed most easily in Mod Organizer using Jigsaw Icon (Red Piece over four grey with down arrow next to Settings Icon) select Ini Editor and add coloured line to [Archive] section which is near bottom of Ini text. Even if it's in default it wont change existing profiles but will change new ones. Choose either ticked or unticked option and you will then be able to change on profile settings The principle is same for all supported games but obviously BSA names are not. 19. I assume that moving here means flaw is correct and is thus solved so changed tag from Question to Solved as is current policy
  20. Best Advice is forget Nexus Importer forget NMM (Nexus Mod Manager). Use the opportunity to have a fresh start and learn the MO (Mod Organizer) way from scratch. If you are trying to hold on to a savegame that you have built up over a long time of trying mods installing and uninstalling many mods, again the best advice is start over. If you insist on keeping that savegame be aware it gets more and more corrupted the more you change things. While it is possible to switch it to MO from NMM it is never easy. The bigger the Mod list is and the older the savegame is, the more difficult it is to switch. Attention to detail is absolutely essential, the slightest error by the user can make it impossible to suceed. No matter how careful you are it still may not work, something may go wrong, beyond anyones ability to fix it. The facility is provided due to demand for it, not because it's the best way to proceed. The NMM Importer does the best it can but MO and NMM work in entirely different ways. We will help in any way we can and do our best to support your switch, but it may be more time consuming than you think with no guarantees it will work in the end. Often the damage is irreversable before you ask for help. As you may tell I do not agree with this process. Why? Users who try this don't know MO well enough, obvious, as they are new users. They make some mistake through inexperience. Whatever the actual reason is for the error the NMM Importer is blamed and by association MO. Users thus start with the attitude of MO has failed before it's even got going. It usually is not MO at fault. No real information exists for when NMM Importing works, but it is blaimed for all the failures. A bad impression is made, regardless of the actual reason. So do this if you must but don't assume MO is to blame if it does not work, it's more likely some other cause.
  21. I had a problem like this, caused by having a semi-colon ( ; ) in Mod Organizer's folder path. Python could not handle this as it is multi platform (In Linux it's a reserved character) Tannin put a warning in that shows up now if you use a semi-colon. Other special characters may also cause problems, so it is recommended to only use; A to Z, a to z, 0 to 9 and - _ In file and folder names. If the above or this are not the problem, we require more details. What does Mod Organizer actually say when it can't find python? where are they both installed.
  22. A copied profile is completely identical to the original in every way including priorities. You can make use of this for doing what Astor1977 wants, in fact it is the main reason to copy profiles and why the function exists at all. You can optionally copy the profiles save games as well.
  23. There was some discrepancies between recently added information to the Wiki concerning Steam AppID's posted and my Fallout Games bought only last week. In an effort to find the correct information, I found a Steam AppID page on Valve Developer Network. The information was obsolete and it said as much, whilst a link to SteamDB (Steam Database) was provided where up to date data was available Home · SteamDB · Steam Database This independant site as a wealth of detailed technical information regarding Steam apps. So much so that even Valve don't try to compete with them just with AppID's and that is just the tip of the iceberg. For detailed information presented in an organised database it is an undoubtedly exellent resource for all Steam Games. We can use as reference site. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim · AppID: 72850 · Steam Database Just check the Skyrim Page, lots of potential Data to help with debugging much more than just AppID's. Not for casual reading though. The Hidden lists below are complete unedited lists and from what I've read those are just the current ID's. Obselete old ones removed. 24. DoubleYou 80% to 90%wolverine2710 10% to 20% Myself 0.0001% That's about the size of contributions to date wolverine2710 is increasing and DoubleYou decreasing, purely because wolverine2710 started last and is catching up not that DoubleYou's efforts have decreased. Plus DoubleYou being Chief Editor (due to making early going and knowing layout and format better) is editing and rearranging wolverine2710's effort as required by masterplan. I seem to be organising things more as a whole and trying to co-ordinate our efforts. Which reminds me. I've a promoting better use of available info post to write. Things are slowly heading in right direction though and none of us have big ego's so doing what we can when we can is more important overall.

The Intention The Wiki must be accurate above all other considerations. The Advice given on the forum must be accurate above all other considerations. To provide this accurate information we who do so must know the subject. We are very good at this collectively, but even as a group we don't know everything. The main purpose is to learn what you don't know and teach what you do know. So if you are interested in a topic feel free to join the discussions. Final point: Advisors do not need to be moderators
