How exactly do we use Crash Fixes?
uncleseano replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
So I just ran the tool you mentioned on the Battlearmour section of Immersive Armours. Exactly what Crashes Fixes pointed at and what you had too '1stpersondwarvengauntletsf_0_new.nif' had a borked .nif (don't worry I'll remove that 'new' :P) I'll let the author of I.A know that there might be an issue at his side. For the record I re-download/reinstalled I.A and this error was still in there. Only nif healer got rid of it. I'll spam in a bunch of battlemage armour tonight and try and break it like yourself. If you got this down man.. I'll give you a giant virtual kiss :P -

Holy hell that does seem like a freaky coincidence eh? I managed to get passed the point it was CTDing. It's interesting because a mage on the road had the battle armour... Just minus the gloves and boots :). And as a side note of anyways using I.A even though I've seen the Hood and chest piece I've never seen the gloves or boots... I reinstalled/redownloaded I.A so I'll see if it happens again. Hell I might even try and fix the .nif as you mentioned when I get back tonight. I'll say it to the mod author too. He/she might be interested and two separate people have (maybe) had CTDs on the same .nif. Great find mate, thanks -

Yeah, I found those last two nifs in Immerisve Armours as Whetstone metioned. Could just be a simple case of it being corrupted when installing cause I was download/installing ALOT at the same time. I'll re-download/reinstall and see how it looks. That said it didn't crash at all last night, and it those two nifs are in the log it means they were successfully loaded (right?? it's what came next that crashed the game. Well fingers crossed this works so -

Ok so I got another CTD, this time in the same (ish) region while slapping some Goblins (Immerive Creatures?) around. I got a nice new message pop up from Crash Fixes https://i.imgur.com/qvcj0JT.png -

Yeah I got that in there, I'm pretty sure it's doing it's thing as one of my CTDs poped up a message in the background. This was more of a 'freeze' though. The two CTDs I'm mainly worried about were just random ones running around the overworld. This time I have everything nailed down tight, I was hoping that crash fixes might have something for me. I download the BETA of crash fixes and have my minidumps set on so I'll see if it gives anymore info tonight over some good auld stabby fun -
I've gotten two CTDs now on the overworld and I'm starting to smell that maybe something is rotten in the state of denmark. It *should* be fine, everything was done to a T. No mods unistalled or even the L.O changed. Is it possible to use crash fixes to see what the problem is? I have UseOSAllocators=1 but that's it. I'm still not sure of how I'm supposed to use it exactly

Throwing out Archmage HD is fine but Mage Outfit Texture overhaul has a .esp. It's prolly not the best to mess with it mid playthrough right? -

Was just gonns say that too. Also there is a 'pre-update' for lucidity whatever that means. Is that why you aren't upgrading to 1.0g? -
Adding mods onto SR:LE, advice, which to drop etc?

Whenever I 'quit' Skyrim after killing my character this happens -

Not a hope in hell I'm gonna use that. I just wanted an interesting stable game so I can see the DLC. I ALWAYS end up breaking my L.O. Not.... This... Time...! -

Yeah it's much more fun than Enhanced AI. To remove the lads dodging arrows I use one of the SkyTweak eh...tweaks called Arrow Dodge chance or something. SkyTweak Rules, can't play a game without it! -
Yeah I did that just now too. I was hoping for another solution besides just outright turning it off. Well I guess I'll enjoy the extra frame or too so :P

At what point are CTDs 'too many'
uncleseano replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
@Nebulous Touch wood n all that because I hope I'm not speaking too early but after an hour or two this morning there were no issues at all. Not a CTD, not a lost FPS, NOWT. I dropped the borderless full screen and used ENBs V-Sync to limit the frames. I tested for a few minutes with Perf Monitor before reloading without but the FPS are at a solid 50. I'm happy with those results. @Whestone Yeah it's normall 'Par for the Corpse' of Skyrim modding but my heart is broken with so many restarts, I just wannt see the DLC! Hah... I was making sure the CTDs werent a problem with something else and it seems (again touch wood) they were. Thanks again Lads! -
What's the best way to around the DoF activation when on a horse in 3rd Person? I'll prolly just deactivate it, too much headache! :P

uncleseano replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Ok that's great, I'll leave running without anything for now and see if there's any issue. And if I get more grief I'll use V-Sync. While I have ya, what do you use to monitor your FPS to make sure it's not going too mad? -

uncleseano replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Oh really? I wasn't even going to mention it...I'll drop it for now and give it another few hours and see does anything else happen. Where did you hear about this at any rate? By 'just use VSync, do you mean in the Enblocal? Also what's the eh....driver level? :P -
That's an intense amount of work. I'd even so far as saying that the skyrimmod/sub might interested in that. Well done, page Thallassa!

So I completed to the letter a SR: LE build. I added a few mods but nothing that really conflicted with the build. I was playing happy for many hours when I wanted to change out Enhanced AI Reborn for Combat Evolved. They are both script free and they are both in the same spot in my L.O so I figured 'what the hell' Since then I've gotten the two CTDs. The CTDs themselves are really far apart and in total I've played for a good chunk of time (10 Hours). The first one happened around Falkreat outside the town while milling around on horse back and the second upon pressing enter Lakeview manor. The CTDs were within an hour of each other and I played for almost 8 hours previous without any. The only other thing I changed was turning the Enblocals.ini for borderless/full screen to true so I could ALT-Tab without the game breaking on me. Also I started using msi afterburners Frame limiter so it wouldn't go over 60 FPS (good computer!) Could that be causing any issues? Well that's it, I'm just asking because maybe it's well withing the limits of Skyrim Modding...I dunno, what do ya all think?

Something that wasn't covered by the two you mentioned? I wonder if someone got a grass mod and removed 'only' the files that aren't conflicted by those two would the problem go away. Or am I just talking outta my bum bum. Either way I'm actually playing CTD free game of Skyrim that looks and play effin wonderful. I won't be doing any more pullin and pokin!
-
Thanks for the heads up. I'll prolly leave it for now though. It's not a big deal and it's only in a few isloated places. I was just hoping that I wasn't the only one!
-
Yeah I was gonna ask that too

Do you or anyone else have it? I followed the guide to the absolute letter so I'm at a loss
