Yes, but UAC is totally deactivated on my computer. I haven't used UAC in years. :/ I have no problem with anything writing. It made the change and the archive invalidation worked because other texture mods are working. Its just face mods that are failing.

I'm installing them via the Download with Manager button in most cases.I have 1.2.11So extract the .fomod and install that? Okay I'll give it a try. Nope. DK's is just folders with .dds files. It doesn't work tho. Installed with MO and it just doesn't show up. :/ I'm currently working my way through your F&L guide. I just did the Allow Facial Morphs tweak. Does that have anything to do with it? or is that for something other than face textures?

I'm wondering if Face Replacer mods even work with MO?I installed Dk's and it doesn't work at all. When I installed Beware of Girl I had to get the individual skins from the page after the fomod refused to put the options I chose into the game because it was not playing nice with MO's VFS.Is there something special I need to do to get a face texture to work?

ArchiveInvalidation Is Not Working, No Textures in Game
StupidFox replied to StupidFox's question in Mod Organizer Support
Guh. I've been modding my FNV and my wife's Skyrim for the past week straight. I'm probably remembering cleaning Update.esm with TES5Edit... there's not one in the clean install on my housemate's computer... so Yeah, going with that I'm just confused. Ignore this part about Update.esmI'm just loopy from so much modding work. :)Thanks guys. I sorted this out. So much of it is because of your guides and explanations here. Thank you! -

ArchiveInvalidation Is Not Working, No Textures in Game
StupidFox replied to StupidFox's question in Mod Organizer Support
Only problem is... when I did this, for some reason, it lost Update.esm. I didn't delete it... Where did it go? I search Fallout directory and there is no Update.esm anymore.I verify files through Steam and it doesn't reacquire it. I noticed when I went to start re-cleaning files. How do I get Update.esm back? -

For anyone else who happens to find this thread looking for the answer:Yes, do what I said above. If you're looking for how to make archive invalidation work (and haven't yet tried to change anything to that end) just trust MO. Go to the drop down for profiles, click manage, and make sure the automatic archive invalidation is ticked on your profile, then close. If you have already tried other archive invalidation methods (Archive Invalidation Invalidated or Archive Invalidation generator, etc) they're NOT going to work with MO because of how MO hands the files. So delete Fallout.ini, Fallout_Default.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini (from base game and from Documents/My Games/FNV) and go verify your files on Steam. It will reaquire changed files. Then launch the game through the base launcher, set your resolution and options, load to the menu and then exit. At that point, go to MO, check your profile and toggle archive invalidation off then back on. It should now work just fine.If you'd already cleaned your files with FNVedit you will need to do this again now, but at least your textures will work at this point! -
ArchiveInvalidation Is Not Working, No Textures in Game
StupidFox replied to StupidFox's question in Mod Organizer Support
I think I've figured out at least this. Part of why it's not working is because of the MO VFS. I was using ArchiveInvalidation generator and it generates an ArchiveInvalidation.txt. I realized when I went back and re-read the readme on that program that it does its work by reading for .dds files in the fallout directory to tell the game which ones to load. Unfortunately, since I'm modding through MO and not dumping my textures into the main folders, it means that method will not work.So I want to revert to base MO archive invalidation but I can't find documentation on how it handles it so I know what to change to fix it. I'd go just verify my files through Steam, but I don't know if that's okay at this point since I have NSVE and ENB and the 4bg loader installed. Would verifying and redoing all my cleaning with FNVedit fix this? Does MO's base Archive invalidation work with FNV at base??And if so, if I do it this way (reverifying files), will it automatically kick in or do I need to set up a new profile to get it working? -
This happened to me on MorePerks and BetterCass (tho I'm no longer using Better Cass as I decided to go with NVR3). And I was doing my own thing, but I just found the Fear and Loathing guide and am considering adjusting to add more of it. It is mostly what I was doing anyway. Just still having issues getting textures to work in game at all, so at this point I was at a stand still waiting for (hoping for) some answer to how to make textures work. ^^ (Hence my other thread).

No! It's not that. I had that error at least 4 times while setting up my current mod setup and I, being an impatient person, found a fix!Go to the downloads folder, find the archive in question, unzip it to a subfolder with the name of the mod, then archive that folder back into a .rar. Then go to the MO "Install from File" button and nav to that archive (if you just gave it a simple name matching the name of the mod but without extra version number stuff it should be easy). Then it will install normally. Sometimes it will ask you for an ID when you do this. Just grab the little 5-digit number from the Nexus URL to the mod and it will sort it out, sometimes ask you which file it is, in which case you select the one you downloaded and then it somehow works itself out. Sometimes it doesn't ask for the ID at all but if you right click the installed mod, click information, go to Nexus tab it works... So it somehow worked. :)So in short, minus rambling:1. Go to your MO downloads folder and find the archive that is misbehaving.2. Unzip the archive to a subfolder with a name matching the name of the mod that is different from the original archive (So you can tell it apart)3. Use MO Install From File button to install your new archive.4. If it asks for an ID, drop the Nexus ID into it from the URL 5. If it then asks which file, pick the file you downloaded from the list it pops up. 6. Profit? Profit. Good luck and I hope this helps!

ArchiveInvalidation Is Not Working, No Textures in Game
StupidFox posted a question in Mod Organizer Support
I am working on Win7 with a decent mid-range gaming rig. I am using MO. This is not my first MO rodeo. I am using NVSE, 4GB Loader, LOOT, FNVEdit, Wrye, and NMM (just to get HUD mods working).I tried installing NMC texture pack and a Type 3 body replacer (Beware of Girl) and it is not working. I have tried every archive invalidation tool I can find and all of them are failing. At one point, it worked briefly (loaded game, saw textures were working, logged out) but I went to change the files from beware of girl because it'd installed the wrong options. After that, went back in and the textures were broken again (on NMC too). Not sure what happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the archive invalidation, but it didn't fix it. So I tried every other archive invalidation mod out there and none of them worked. I enabled automatic archive invalidation from the profile in MO and that didn't work (first thing I did). How do I get my textures working?Current Load Order (only half-finished setting up mods so it's not everything) Active Mod Files: -

Just to be sure... this doesn't matter if you have UAC turned off right? I mean you can have steam installed in programfilesx86 if you have no UAC active yes? -
Thank you! That did it. ^^ I had to copy the core file back into the MO folder but it works now. THanks so much! I finally have the ui mods working. Now if I can just figure out why ILO isn't working I'll be set. ^^

Okay I've got that figured out. I installed all the UI hud mods in NMM then went through MO to import. It worked except one thing. I went back to NMM as it said and deactivated all the mods there (ALL of them. I'm sure.)But this remained: https://gyazo.com/1f64e6c0256ddc502e647bf011040458OHud and PN left esms behind and I can't seem to get rid of them. I deactivated both those mods through NMM and MO still sees them as well as they are still listed in NMM. How do I get them to go away so they won't interfere with MO?
-
Hi. I've been following along here trying to understand how to install the UI mods through NMM and import them into MO. The question I have right now is this. Do I have to install the UI mods in NMM or EVERY mod with UI adds? Do I have to install ProjectNevada in NMM too because it's being picky about the ui? (Giving me the error that the ui is not detected).
